alt hat could bleed into the factthat people believe what they make is better/more valuable thsn the exact tsame thing just made by somone else.

If someone uilds a table instead of buying it already made, theyre going to think highly more of said table because they built it (stuck it together/painted it etc).its still a table at the end of the day but YOU made that table, YOU spend your time pqinting the table and yourre going to show that table off as youre god dammed pleased with yourself that cou made this with your own two hands.

Same thing here, Makaila is blinded by the fact she made her art and cannot tell her art is bad, because of that kind of mentality. Hell many artists over price their work because they think its worht more than it actually is.

Its also common for the underly critical artists to voer pay their work and the overly critical to underpay their work. I dont know the connection but ive seen both sides. freinds who are amazing artists but always find 'something wrong' with it, or perfectionists and thus, thinking their art is lessvaluable... However the ones who dont care about cirtisism overprice their art because 'i'm an artist think of the time ive spent on it guys!1!!1'

i might be wrong, but thats what i'm gathering here...

and obviously you get amazing artists who dont under or over pay themselves, and people who can draw, even though its not that good but still charge because theirs a nieche for theirkind of style or somone needs, lets say a puppet, but cant draw themselves and a cheaper option is a good place to start.

it's entirely a cheeky "we'll answer the question when we get there" kind of deal, but it absolutely invokes the thought of "do they actually fucking know?"

Also one last post before heading to bed.

So I know we're operating under this weird Alternate Universe where the things the show and the video games have established don't mean shit, but there were a fuck tone of episodes where Generation 1 pokemon were able to just straight up fucking mind control people for an undetermined amount of time. All a bunch of pokemon that just straight up existed before lily's waifu was even an idea. So this is obviously more jerking off to their Gardevoir waifu

She actually does try to answer this, albeit a bit poorly;

I mean, despite not being an actual "move" in the game Gardevoir being able to make a black hole does imply a certain level of power.

HOWEVER!

According to Bulbapedia, the in-game Pokedex directly states that a Gardevoir "expends all their psychic power" doing so. What does this mean exactly? To me, it implies two things;

1. A Gardevoir that does this is left totally drained, unable to use moves or any psychic abilities at all for a certain amount of time with the potential of doing long term physical damage to them, perhaps even leading to their psychic powers never working right ever again

2. The Gardevoir dies due to the strain it takes to do such a thing, giving their life for the trainer they care about. Which, again according to Bulbapedia, the Pokedex implies they would do.

So why is this info so important? Well, it out right states that Gardevoir can't just make black holes willy-nilly, it is a last resort, do or die move that they wouldn't consider lightly. Even factoring G being "the most powerful Gardevoir" in Lily's universe, making a Black Hole would, at the very least, leave her very tired and vulnerable, so she'd better hope that Black Hole took care of her opponent of she's screwed. Speaking of, we have no idea about the accuracy rating, range, or charge up time for this "Black Hole", for all we know it takes a while to charge up and only have a range of a few feet. In fact, I'm certain it doesn't have a crazy big range or else this "Black Hole" would very kill the Gardevoirs trainer as well, or whoever they're trying to protect.

With this info, I can name a number of Pokemon that have the reflexes and speed to believably dodge it or get out of its range (Weavile, Jolteon,...Alakazam), especially if the Pokemon has a trainer who's privy to this knowledge and can tell when it's coming. Even without that, a Pokemon with Future Sight or Mind Reading abilities could see the attack coming and plan to nullify or avoid it. I imagine the Black Hole's powerful, but speaking from what little we know about it from canon, it seems to be a "Death or Glory" attack which leaves the Gardevoir screwed if it doesn't work.

But knowing Lily she'll just ignore this like every other piece of Pokemon canon she doesn't like and make it so her super special Gardevoir can just make them on a whim. Because of course she'll be able to. You know, if you replace the Pokemon in this comic with random ass monsters you wouldn't be able to tell it's a Pokemon comic, hell, I think you wouldn't even get the impression that it's a rip off of Pokemon. Though I guess that's part of it's really retarded, "bouncing between being so bad it's good and just being bad", charm.

A lot of time is spent on Mikaila’s work which makes sense given the fact that she does the comic, but what’s the opinion on the other artist girlfriends work? [Taken from some of their latest posts]

that second one gives off creepy incest vibes
I don’t see it but the fact that she’s associated with Lily wouldn’t make it shocking.
Honestly the first one looks pretty decent.
I actually think they both do as far as being compared to the alternative. Ginger is clearly the most talented of the three with anatomy and distinction and Carousel can actually match the MLP style decently which won’t help her in the long run but makes her work in this fandom pretty passable it’s just trying too hard to be cute and still is a bit stiff. Mikaila has gotten better with the comic taking the subject matter out of it entirely for the record but of the three she clearly needs the most work. I would have tried to offer constructive criticism but clearly she won’t take it. Carousel says she does and I sent an anonymous message about it and she actually responded fairly positively to it.

Edit: I’m mostly a lurker in these parts but I’m actually really annoyed at Mikaila and Lily’s attitude toward art critique.

its almost the same artstyle the comic artist uses for the "lesbian babu" shit
Which is hilarious considering Ginger has drawn all that and I haven’t seen it from Carousel. Really does show their similarities.

Ironically if there is a lesbian babu drawing by Carousel I can’t find it, maybe she wants to keep her stuff separate from Lily’s but then she shouldn’t have let her use the character.

So a follow up post to the post about the script.

Never mind the power dynamic still falls apart when lily continues to jerk off their waifu and make them canonically some sort of pokemon to rival Arceus

This was of course used to go back to the "vague outline of a horse on the ground"

Buddy why can't you just admit you like Gardevoir? If this becomes a debate about dex entries you're gonna fall apart. Both the Metagross and Alakazam lines have dex entries that make them way more threatening than Gardevoir. Even if the "small black hole" was still big enough to swallow the earth, it can't do that without killing itself. Meanwhile you've got Victini the infinite battery and ultra-genius Alakazam who could probably rewrite your brain at a genetic level.

it's entirely possible that Carousel has a spine and is entirely willing to say no when requests lebian babus comes up.

Not a fan of how she says it’s because she’s drawn to cute art because some of the most expressive art I’ve seen is cute art like some of my favorite anime but at least she isn’t being a dick about getting some criticism.

I realised something while reading this diatribe of hers again.
Lily outright states that Gardevoirs don't have rights and are completely dependend on their trainer for survival.
She is literally going out of her way to make Comic!Lily's relationship with G the exact type of "slave in love with owner" scenario that she had such a fit over in regards to Rose and Pearl. Right down to a psychic restraining bolt that prevents G from ever raising hand against Comic!Lily.

This entire explanation sounds incredibly like the kind of excuses a rapist would make.

It's also weird considering she supposedly has a degradation fetish, and is a submissive.
This shit is so fuckin out there. Legit question though: every story has an end, except Garfield probably, what are Gardevoir and Lily going to learn at the end of this entire ordeal?
We got the rape, we got the baby, we got Gardevoir coming to terms with being in love with Lily, we got the pokemon league rules, we got grooming and permits and laws against kissing or whatever the fuck. Why did a comic about an insufferable cunt living with her equally insufferable animal waifu turn into this clusterfuck? I swear Lily only ever writes out of spite or out of lust. And sometimes both.
God damn Monster musume has a better plot, and least I can jerk off to it.

I don't expect this to last, jerry probably hopped into her pm or told her something like:
Probably what peet does everytime.jpg

The story will probably end when Lily gets bored of Gardevoir being her main waifu and wants to move onto something else. I'm willing to bet she has some, vague ending planned out that will, in typical Lily fashion, have a lot of implications that she wants to bang the Gardevoir but will be juuuuust subtle enough so that he/ the fans will be able to deny such a thing. Afterward he'll probably latch onto some other fandom to obsess and bastardize with his own dumb interpretation staring his mary sue OC. At least that's my bet, I can't say for sure.

Jerry just getting bored is the most likely. He more or less stopped doing Val'kyr shit because he got bored, than just re-tooled the characters for slice-of-life.
'The comic will end when he gets bored, and he'll just try to shift it into something else, while expanding on another idea.

He's very vehement about there being a Fem!Link, so I could see him writing up some shit about that, like, a year from now.

It's not really the bad art, I can deal with that especially for short joke, but how badly she uses comics as a story telling tool.

A fighter or a barbarian accidentally bullies a spell caster to into niche she isn't actually good at. Perfectly fine idea for a comic strip but there is just too much text. The overall point gets really lost to unnecessary fluff. Show not tell, you also have visuals to get the point across, use them. More than just some expressions. Body types, speech bubbles, the frames etc, there are so many elements to use for your advantage.

This comic was so amateurish and bad that it was easier jut to redo it rather than try to explain the numerous mistakes. Despite my more liberal use of copy-paste, not coloring it and my lack of knowledge of D&D, I think it's still is a better comic over all.

Well done. Truly. But I don't think the comic was by Mikail. I think she was using it to say the other artist (Curnott? I think) shouldn't criticize her for doing bad things and refusing to change. Which wasn't even what they were criticizing her for.
Yours looks better than anything either of them could shit out honestly.

So, I decided to check the guy out, and it looks like they lurk this thread.

Not sure why they'd be here if they're a fan of Lily. If nothing else, at least it looks like they can take a bit of criticism.
