I know this post is from 2017 but I want to take this opportunity to shill Hashihime of the old book town for anyone even vaguely interested in homo visual novels. Dramatical murder is known as the meme homo game where you fuck the dog and get eaten alive and all that stuff, but I think Hashihime is a game that tells a genuinely good story alongside having the homo elements. The only downside is that it peaks in the first two routes and afterwards it does degrade in quality, but in my opinion those routes are good enough to make up for it and they're the longest anyway.
It's actually an oversimplification and what really happens is even more stupid. You don't really fuck the dog but the dog fucks you. The dog is one of your split personalities that now inhabits the body of your talking pet robot dog. He fucks you in your combined imaginary dreamspace and in the bad ending he eats you. In the good ending he starts inhabiting the body of the twin brother you never knew you had because the two of you were separated as babies. You still fuck even if he's in the body of your twin brother.
Tbh, it's true that pretty much every BL game out there with an english fanpatch or official localisation has dark stuff in it. I guess female oriented media can naturally be really dark for the same reason why a lot of women are into true crime. Even though Hashihime is my favourite there's still dark content in it (Rape, murder, suicide, whatever clusterfuck that final route is), hence why I would only recommend it to people who are already fujo-aligned and can handle that stuff. Dramatical murder was a lot of people's first BL game but in hindsight it's really embarrassing and just not that good.
