Every time a lawtwitter idiot makes a 'not literally feces teehee' comment they just display their sheer lack of understanding of basic Texas defamation law, much less the case at hand, rendering the entirety of their opinion void and useless.

Also, if they're so important and smart and cool or whatever, why are they the ones all humping Nick's leg, begging for attention? They stalk his every tweet and flood him with unfunny, repetitive tweets like he's Trump and they're a blue checkmark. Why are they so obsessed about an unimportant lawyer not representing an unimportant nobody voice actor for cartoons they've never watched?

Who cares? I don't. She can go catfish and make me some money, at least she's not an eldritch horror or a psychopath, If she can't get skinny or fix her hot mess of a self, that's fine, at least she's not some kind of monster that crawled out from under a child's bed in an attic. Which is more than can be said for the other two.

I know i am taking a joke and putting some serious thought into it, but that is what i was considering when responding. She has some bad flaws as we can all see, but she at least seems to have TUGs side in things. I would think the other 2 would turn on me in a heartbeat.

I am already married to my partner I have been with for 10 years now and we have had some rocky times in our time together, but in the end always stuck with me. In other words, when the whole world is against you, I want the partner I married to be the one by my side at least.

Honestly, it's an easy choice. She may be a landwhale, and she may catfish some dudes online, but she's not a raging psychopath or monster of the deep, so she's an easy choice in that lineup. Of course, if you don't mind freakish tentacle sex arms, Marzgurl does seem to be so loyal she'll hide your abuse of young girls if you're her friend.

Vic hasn't gone on Twitter or YouTube this whole time for his own sanity's sake, so I was doing my best to collect evidence for whatever law firm may be up to bat. At that point, we had hired and fired 2 attorneys who were def not up to the task for various reasons and were actively looking for a new one to stop the bleeding.

I remember when Nick first emailed Vic. Vic forwarded it to me for my take, I looked Nick up and watched some of his content. I found him to be insightful, smart, fair, blunt (bonus points) and funny. I told Vic so and suggested he reach out. Nick was asking him to come on his stream, but we felt that keeping a low profile was best. Vic replied declining the invitation, but agreed to speak to Nick by phone.

Nick, upon speaking to Vic and hearing of the troubles finding the right counsel, referred Vic to Ty. Nick and Vic have been friends for months and have spoken often even though they'd never physically met until this weekend - can confirm.

Nick does Nick. Vic is so grateful for everything Nick has done (as am I) even if Nick's style of coming at the situation is very different than Vic's. When someone throws you a life-ring when you're drowning, you say thank you rather than complain about it's size/color.

Okay...I gotta say: I prefer dubs and Kickvic can't change that, but boy has it messed up my enjoyment of Funimation VAs.

Vic? I honestly am not even sure I knew his name until 2014 when the rumors splashed all over the internet because of Free. Although I quickly determined the rumors were lies, I was still dismissive of him after that. He was just one of hundreds of VAs I never really bothered to keep track of. Now I know he's a real sweetheart and a great guy, but I was never really a fan before this.

Chris Sabat, though? He voices a bunch of my favorite characters, I enjoy the voices he picked for his characters - especially All Might and Vegeta. I considered myself a fan, and I really wanted to meet him and get some things signed some time, because it seemed like it would be fun to talk to him. Obviously, that's no longer the case. Now I'd be tempted to avoid buying a ticket to a convention just because he happened to be a guest there. And while I'm not so fickle as to say his voices are suddenly terrible, hearing his voice has become irritating purely for who it is.

Other VAs I liked in the past have been dragged into this, too. Even VAs who simply replaced Vic in a role I can't help but feel soured toward. I can't appreciate a new or changed voice when I know it's only different because Sabat was seething so hard at the role going to Vic that he started signal boosting fake rape stories in the hope Vic up and died.

It's just annoying. It's one thing if you're some starry-eyed fan who thinks Chris Evans is really Captain America, and are crushed when you go look him up only for reality to ensue. It's a whole different thing, though, when you go out of your way to try to ignore or otherwise separate art from artist, only to have people like Chris Sabat push their increasingly scumbag behavior out into the open where it can't be missed. For an entire year.

I want to rephrase something that's been said often recently: It's already too late for Funimation. Even if they somehow succeed in fully destroying Vic after all this, they'll never get back what they've lost. They've pointlessly kamekaze'd themselves just to unseat one frankly unimportant VA.

The damage is done, and it wasn't done by Nick, it wasn't even done by Vic. It was done by themselves.

It was much better than I expected, there didn't seem to be much more than a quick rundown of the major things that have happened. There wasn't much, if any, opinion added, they addressed some debunked stories, and kept straight to the point throughout. You could still tell this was an amateur article, there wasn't enough setup in some places, it added some unnecessary bits like what fans are saying about the lawsuit, and she couldn't hide the fact that she was speaking from an insider point of view which, admittedly, is hard not to do when you're knowledgable of the whole situation. I'd still give it a B+ simply for being able to hide any immediate bias and not turning it into a hit piece. I'd even bump it up to an A for not including child porn like Kotaku.

I've been echoing this for a while.
The appalling behavior from the VAs made me jump from a fringe supporter with mild skepticism (wondering if there was truth in the defense because Vic was always brought up by anime con people I know), to fully supporting Vic.

They've got no one to blame for the shitstorm but themselves.
