Ok, after talking to a mod about this, I have a confession to make. I will only post this then I have to get to bed soon so this post will probably be short but here goes:

I am the one named Weather and have made a recent post there on WP about the Kiwi Farms, but I was feeling very supportive of Connor at the time and was feeling some sort of frustration about the forums' treatment of him. That is before I read more of Connor. A couple of my posts have been screencapped in this thread.

My intentions are not to cross WP and the Kiwi Farms and try to cause any trouble as even though I stated what I did on WP, there are people here that I find respectable and honestly some lolcows I do find...intriguing though I do find that some people go too far with certain people and their disabilities.

Honestly, I don't use WP that much anymore as it is no longer interesting to me. I very rarely post on there despite being on there since 2009.

I know I am going to get a lot of flack for this and I know I am risking myself and opening myself up for ridicule, so here it goes.

Also, perhaps I should just apologize.

Well on the one hand you did sympathize with Connor Bible, Known Shithead. And that's bad.

But on the other, you owned it like an adult. And that's good! So I think you probably won't get ridiculed as much as you might have expected. Anyone who was just itching to attack Weather will only succeed in making themselves look silly now. Although you didn't have to own it, the fact that you did is encouraging.

On a personal note I also hope your opinion of us has improved, even if only slightly.

We're not all bad people, we just like to laugh at extentrics. If someone has a developmental disability it doesn't automatically make them immune from scrutinty, they should have to try to learn to cope and fit in with society as best they can but sadly many parents think their child is a special snowflake and doesn't need help for whatever reason, as is the case with Chris and Jace. Both of them are sad cases

The term "Wrong Planet" has been used a lot in media when people discuss about Aspergers, even Arthur's Special on Aspergers uses the 'alien planet' explaination it in a video, so the term has been around for a very long time.

See there's a different meaning between the "wrong" and "different": being on a different planet is neutral or positive experience, while being on the WRONG planet means the planet is WRONG.

Edit: I originally thought this was the term's origins, but news tells me that the website has been around

Oh god, this place. I had an account there either in or right after high school because my therapist recommended I join. I think I made something like three posts before the autism master race thing really sunk in.

I was not prepared for that level of 'tism and bailed pretty much immediately. I'm poking through the WP forum now and I still feel like I made the right decision.

Here's a possibility on the origins of "Wrong Planet." Back in 2009 Arthur did an episode on Aspergers so its very likely this might be the origin?

This is long after Wrong Planet started. The episode writers likely got their idea from WP and the autism community in general.

Since I'm super goddamn spergy I can tolerate a great deal of sperging. I can't, however, tolerate autist supremacists, special snowflakes, and shitty hypocritical admins.

I strongly recommend you leave WP for good. An environment in which a nasty, hateful person like Connor is welcomed is not a healthy one at all. Connor has said many fucked up things regarding women and adopted children. These rants have literally gotten Connor banned everywhere he goes except for here and WP. And even here he would've been banned years ago if the staff didn't find him amusing on some level. Wrong Planet, on the other hand, encourages and supports behavior like his. You can do better. Anyone can.

I am autistic
I am superior to everybody
Therefore, having autism makes you superior

You could substitute just about anything for "autistic" - "vegan", "a geek", "white", "a model railway enthusiast".

It's a very common thought process.

I guess in that sense, autistic people aren't so different to the rest of us.

Were these the same gents that tried to make up their own Autistic language? I vaguely remember most of the Spergs for Freedom moved there or something like that years ago.

I vaguely remember their language too. They wanted shit like one word for things like "and" "the" and other important conjunctions and particles. I think that word was just "Oo". Their lingo had no syntax, read like a child writing Al Bhed (since it was English based soley), and they gave up at I believe 100 words.

I seem to remember these being the same group of individuals that would dream of creating a country for Autists by Autists, occasionally tapping into such wonderous ideas like no currency systems, and I think their own mercenary force since none of them want to do da fightin'. Once more, these projects got as far off the ground as a fatman does while trying to jump. And yes, I think on occasion I've seen threads that claimed they were basically the X-men.

These guys were great in small doses, but poison the soul after too much exposure at once I've noticed.

I met someone with the tism in real life who I don't think wanted autism supremacy per se but believed that was going to happen. It was so bizarre hearing him say that he thought one day everyone would be autistic and that most of the great inventions in the world have been made by autistic people, and thinking even as a fellow autistic person I thought his explanation was just 100% wrong.

It should be mentioned I only ran into him after he couldn't take the hint that my roommate had shit to do and followed her up to our room.

I think you'll find your reception a lot warmer than expected - I can't speak for everyone but you've seemed pretty cool when I've seen your posts around here.

If you don't mind, could I ask a question though?

Do you have any thoughts on why Wrong Planet is seemingly resistant to telling users to knock off repeating some of their more repugnant views? I've said it before but I think Wrong Planet has the potential to be a good resource for people on the autism spectrum but when you allow Connor to call a girl with Aspergers a "stupid cunt" who "deserves to be emotionally broken" by him for not dating him, it doesn't feel like a very positive environment. I've had suspicions that they actually do reprimand users, but it's via private communication and very informal but I have no real basis for that.
