Just in the last couple weeks she's thrown a fit because Frozen 2 won't include her "Elsa is gay" headcanon, and vowed to stop playing World of Warcraft because the metaplot isn't treating her waifu Sylvanas the way she wants it to
She is very emotionally attached to her fandoms.
But she also tied her identity and self-worth to the illusion that she is superior to everyone else.
So she grasps at whatever straws she can to pretend that she's better than whoever she's talking to right now.

Maybe i'm missing the point. But parents dont typically watch shows with their kids so when they see Ruby and Sapphiore's wedding, they may mistake one character as male the other female, or may think they arent getting married and one's just a bride'smade or something. without context, they wouldnt think 'gay weding' because their homophobic brains would just try and make any other 'excuse/reason'. But kids who watch the show will know the context and think 'ohh girls can marry, too? Ok!'
Pluse if they say the word Gay/Bisexual/Lesbian or any lgbtq+ words in a kid show, the homophobic parents will hear that, in the same room or next door or wherever they are from hearing distance and would probably switch over and tell their kid 'i switched this show off because it has fags in it andfags arent good' or whatever rant they'll end up going on.
Yers they dont outright say the word gay, but this is the best many shows can do without children ending up being coddled even more from lgbt+ stuff from their parents as then they will micro manage EVERY show the kid watches, in extreme cases, prevent them from watching tv without the 'phobic parent being there 24/7

Well Legend of Korra still got shit for the ending with Asami and Korra holding hands. Granted most of that was between fans disagreeing between wether this was romantic or not but there were those who got genuinelly pissed at it especially after bryke confirmed it.

On that note, the LoK vid is probably the only one of Jerry's videos I agree with (even though E;R's video's on the show are better). Steven Universe is agruably a better and even more popular show, without a predecessor series to build up hype with, and Sugar has been far more straight forward with lgbt in her show then LoK, so much so it's The queerest show on tv. And i'm happy with that and more of these articeles cause I know that Jerry is seething as a result of it. (weirdly enough I haven't found any articles about steven universe like that LoK one i linked.)

just like how lets say, If sonic 3d Blast had another character isntead of sonic as the playable character, that 'kind' of game would porobably had a 3 part series at best. it was a good game,the music was great and the controls weren't that bad. the problem is they slapped sonic onto something that clearly isnt sonic. It didnt control like him, the visuals were even weirder than whatever CD was going for and the music even didnt sound like typical 90's era sonic music. Its a good stand-alone game, but not a good sonic game.

I do think Legend of Korra is shit. Actually took me a number of reviews (postive and negative) and a full rewatch with my own thoughts to come to that conclusion (not enough iq to come to that myself). I don't think I'm quite there with the one retard who's comment Jerry pinned as it was both a transition (kek) for me and I had problems with the show from the start that I couldn't accept (Amon being the first big one).
Even then Jerry's video is not the best one taking the piss at it. (Again, E;R did do it better). Still think everything else Peet has done is shit as well. At least he admitted to hating korra from the start (and missing the point of last airbender's ending completely, though thats a different vid) but steven universe only started to get shit from bismuth onward?
Characters like Ling and Tenzin did deserve a better handling from bryke (both peet and E;R said so, but the latter first so by years, (though I seriously doubt Jerry watches his vids)).
Peet's stance on Zaheer and in a latter vid "freedom fighters" is general is retarded as fuck, just as his wish that bryke had brought more nuance to kuvira and that "9 things not to do in avatar" list (even though i really hated that dark avatar bs).
I feel like I covered anything that mattered to me in that regard (probably too much).

I highly doubt that his parents affected him in any negative way (aside from spoiling him). From what we've seen of Jerry's parents, they seemed genuinely nice and very caring of his well being (only to be aggressively rejected as a result). Keep in mind that the only source of where we heard that his parents were supposedly abusive to him is from Jerry himself and, seeing as this is the same guy that's known for being a notorious liar and thinks that doing homework is abusive, it's best to take that info with a grain of salt. From what I can tell, what caused Jerry to act this way was a combination of his parents not discipling him well enough and getting into the Social Justice Kool-aid. Giving us this hateful person that we see today.
