I know it's probably not true but I've always chuckled at this very idea. What if Miles is ACTUALLY doing what Monty wanted and Monty was just a shit writer who never had the time to sit on an idea to think it over before he died? Imagine being Miles turning Monty's plot ideas into actual episodes because you felt some obligation to adapt a dead man's ideas into his creation.
While Monty was not an amazing writer we can see from the first two Volumes he WAS in control of how he told stories. Not great but he could improve. One thing that I'm a firm believer in is that Monty didn't actually have a set plan for future stories and that all the talk of "Miles writing out Monty's plans" are bullcrap. Monty flew by the seat of his pants and while he may have had ideas I doubt he had a concrete plan for multiple seasons like some people claim. And even if he DID have plans Miles threw them out so he could warp RWBY into his own ego fueled personal project. The complete disconnect from the seasons Monty had any involvement in vs the ones where Miles had complete and total control is jarring.

I get what you're saying, but let's not speculate just yet. This week has been largely uneventful mainly because Vic spent the bulk of this week on a film project, plus Columbus Day weekend is coming up. My gut feeling is that we'll find out sometime next Tuesday onward, but if I'm a betting man, I would bet Vic will pursue appealing. Again, it's Vic's decision, so I can't 100% guarantee it, but I just can't see him not appealing.

And even if Vic doesn't appeal, Nick said that all bets are off and he will disclose everything he hid, maybe even the leaker and the VA's who hated Monica all along. Or as Ty would like to call it, "mutually assured destruction".
I wonder how much of Monica’s face will melt off when she starts crying buckets at those who stabbed her in the back.

She'll probably deny everything on Twitter, on some "We're all cool, everyone!" "Don't worry!", while Nick probably has someone who is close to Monica's thesis on why they can't stand the woman.

I want to know if they did anything to root the leakers out or if it's on hold with the merger shake up. For all we know after the merger backend business is done the leaker could have been one of the ones laid off.

I completely agree with this. At this point everything good about RWBY has either been retconned into oblivion multiple times, been ruined by Miles and Kerry's incompetent writing, or completely dropped. Not to mention the completely meandering plot that makes it feel like every season after Volume 2 is completely separate and only connected by hopes and prayers. Then you have all the nonsensical lore Miles keeps trying to push that only serves to muddle the story even more than it already is. The show is so far beyond salvageable at this point it's not even funny. The only way you can salvage it without a full reboot is to do one of those in universe reboots where you just erase years of the story because of how bad it is, but that's really not ideal. I mean maybe you could have salvaged things after the mess that was Volume 3 (though you'd have to spend years just trying to fix all the problems it created) but once you hit Volume 4 things pretty much hit the point of no return. At this point they have literally years of bad writing that has killed the popularity of the show and you just can't save it at this point. It really says something that I've seen fanfic writers actually talk about giving up on trying to be canon compliant with their fics given that every season will retcon everything that came before and made it genuinely frustrating. They settle on writing AUs simply because canon is such a mess.

Miles is the main factor in all this going to crap. He's been an arrogant dickhead for years and never took a single bit of criticism to heart, only attacking anyone who dared say he was anything less than god's gift to man. Even his half assed "acknowledgement" of criticism from Volume 5 went completely ignored because he didn't do ANY of the things he said he would. He promised to do show don't tell better... then in Volume 6 dropped an episode that was nothing but a giant exposition dump of awful lore that just served to make the entire conflict the show is now based on look even dumber. And that doesn't get into how it seems they're only putting in important plot points and villains' motivations in a freaking databook and not in the show itself. RWBY is dead and I wish they'd just let it be.
This is why if RWBY was to be saved, i.e. rebooted, they'd have to go back not so season 1, or episode 1, but back to the drawing board, back to brainstorming on how to structure the plot. You don't have to do some big brained writing and themes, just don't have the plot shit itself by the words "logic dictates...". One of the things that frustrated me about RWBY, besides of the shitty writing, is it had so much cool stuff and potential that they didn't use to the fullest or at all.

But as said, thanks to Miles nothing will change.

Seriously, we really need a thread to contain the RWBY sperging.

I located an old photobucket of his, which contained, essentially some random shirtless, and..other'ish semi-naked men.
Never found any good context for them, or titles that would indicate why he saved a bunch of pictures like that.
Perhaps he likes having options, closet bi? I mean he is married and has kids, there is no proof he ever done anything gay aside rape-dubs.
#JusticeForDende

Someone suggested it could come from an old myspace and it was simply moved over to photobucket but I don't know if that...makes any difference?

I think Monty just wrote whatever he thought was cool down and didn't really think about limitations for the medium. From the sound of it V3 would be 8 hours long if Monty had his way.

So they are trying to clean up and process plot points from previous volumes while moving forward.

Also the theory that each of the volumes has a season associated with it. (1:Spring, 2:Summer, 3:Fall, 4:Winter.)

So I just saw something that came to my attention, wouldn't counter suing been, IF they were truth, the Vic lawsuit, that they could actually provide the evidence to support their claims? Just something that sparked a thonk moment. Now we all know why they didn't, but it feels like this had been a topic that was COMPLETELY avoided till now.

I had a thought recently...

What's gonna happen to the FMA dubs? Are they gonna scrub them and replace Edward's voice with someone else?
probably late but no. that would require a lot more money unless they went with some d-tier VA... which would lead to copies of the blu-ray stagnating in shops and warehouses and fans ignoring the new dub on TV after the first few episodes.

tldr: no because its too much work for far too little reward.
