Why would it be weird if Phil said "we have friends over so ending early"? Nothing sensitive could be learned from such a revelation and it'd actually be a positive event in his empty life.

So either Kat decided this against Phil's wishes, or it's something else entirely.

When Kat told Phil they're here he did a very awkward "bee noise" (I can't think of another way to describe it, I'm glad others noticed this too) """laugh""" and the look on his face was that of someone being forced to do something he really doesn't want to do. That along with his earlier complaining, it has to be he's meeting Kat's friends for the first time and the hermit is dreading the social interaction. Phil will probably sit there and goat laugh his way through it all, only providing 1-2 word answers when directly asked a question. I wonder if he actually changed out of that Sonic shirt or left it on as a passive aggressive way of showing his displeasure with the situation.
Still, I can't quite shake the feeling there is something bigger going on what with Kat taking 2 weeks off from work and in the middle of it there's this weird behind the scenes thing that Phil doesn't want to talk about in any detail. Wouldn't be the first time he's hidden something important to be revealed at a later date.

I’m also gonna bring up earlier during the pre stream when he was once again complaining about how much other content creators edit videos and how they have big teams in studios or whatever and talking about how things use to be when he was starting out and it just finally hit me

The dude is ultimately complaining about evolution and development of online video making, imagine if people in charge of phones or cars or medicine were as aggressively against advancements or growth in their fields like dave is? Literally everything about this dude is so toxic and problematic, the world would be a million times worse off he people in charge had half of his ideals and beliefs.

Can't remember if it was the first begging video or during the final days of Machinima but he told some story he must have heard in college about some business, maybe GE, were going to go under and the person in charge completely changed the companies direction thus saving it. The lesson was supposed to be about taking risks, thinking outside the box, and changing things up when they aren't working. Phil's opinion was the man's a coward for doing so. It was one of those moments that explained so much about Phil in one sentence.

someone from her family has moved in to help because phil is too busy working to do anything, it could be dave's parents, and his mother might be staying with them

there will probably be a thanksbegging tips goal for another reveal, but knowing dave, this could only happen after the birth to protect his family

his recent oversealous rants about the goose game, and john / howard is definitely frustration with what is happening, and it's suspicious that he's not buying new games, he's probably trying to save money to give the false impression of not being poor to whoever is visiting khet during her 2 weeks

I can only hope we hear about what's happening, and my last theory is dave being stressed cause no doubt his mum will walk in during a stream and scold him for being a lazy shit, or she will be heard scolding jasper cause he's untrained and locked inside 24/7

That would be a very suspicious timing, since if she was indeed in early pregnancy at that time, I would imagine that is the reason they married - I can't fathom any other, mind you, I couldn't fathom marrying Phil even pregnant by him. Except one month just doesn't seem enough to detect a surprise pregnancy and then plan a wedding - granted, one of the worst weddings ever, but still on the other side of the country.

i think that was DEBUNKED because someone wasn't taking into account some very specific thing phil applies for, im not an accountant so im not going to say im right, but i remember someone at least saying he pays like 2k LESS since he's married somewhere around that

It’s not just the evolution of the medium, but also he’s speaking of people who had the talent, and more importantly, the work ethic to improve on their craft. Also instead of buying useless shit (two condos, toys and dolls, leasing BMW’s), they reinvested into their business. They got better computers and hardware and were able to afford to hire others to help them out. Phil has no work ethic. I think this is a big reason as to why he’s been fired from nearly every job he’s had. He’s just ducking lazy.
