The Mandalorian is literally the only Star Wars project I care...
That's your first mistake right there.

Amazing how such a basic fucking concept as "character does cool shit unexpectedly = character gets popular" was lost on the rat goons who genuinely thought and still seem to genuinely think all they need to do to make a character popular is to tell people the character is cool and popular without doing shit to back this up in the movies
Granted, that is exactly what they try on their marketing for their movies, too.

Its more embarrassing then that
Why is this a thing, who thought this was a good idea?
This is like something straight out of Spaceballs, however even the fucking flamethrower made more sense.

"How to make Authentic Star Wars Blue tard cum -The Vegan way- With Beloved Star Wars Director Rian Johnson"
If that guide starts with "First, we grab this hack by his fat neck and shove him face first into a blender..." I'm all in.

It's fine.

There is plenty to nitpick. Blaster power level varies depending on plot, both IG-11 and Mandy get shot to no/minimal effect, stone pillars provide effective cover from heavy mounted weapon that pierces blast doors like paper. Both IG-11 and Mandy stand out in the open to 12-24 hostiles firing indiscriminately and don't get shot(IG-11 takes a few hits early on, but the vast majority is Stormtroopers letting the Rebels go to track them to their base combined with late stage space-syphilis and heavy hallucinogens bad aim). The trackers seem to be just magic people detectors, complications are brought up that don't seem to matter at all since they can just home in on the target just as easily as the one with full details.

It sets itself apart from anything in the franchise. Lots of "I get that reference" imagery, spread across multiple planets. I think to it's benefit. Other than the Mandalorian lore not fitting in with old or current canon, its allowed to tell it's own story with out stepping on the toes of the source material Disney seems to have been happy to smash with the movies. There are little tidbits that give us an idea of the shape of the galaxy post Battle of Endor that is more than the movies gave us any indication that there was any story prior to Kylo.

And for those that watched the clip posted a couple pages back: Mandy shoots IG-11 because they have different bounties. IG-11 was solely termination of the target. Mandy's very seriously wanted it alive, though was willing to pay for it dead. The payment is of special Mandalorian metal that his people need for tradition, very personally valuable.

Whenever I see shit like this, I realize that nerd/geek culture going mainstream was a fucking fatal mistake...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the 2000s was the sweet spot for nerd culture because it was juuuust mainstream enough, but not too mainstream.

And back then it was all about the 18 to 35 male demographic, not "wine moms"

This is the difference between a breakout character and a poochie.

Let's not exaggerate the state of Star Wars before The Mouse bought it. Lucas fucking ruined the franchise with his atrocious prequel films. People like to claim the PT are ackshually great compared to the ST. No they aren't. They're awful.

You could say live action SW was at least still restricted to the films, and that would be true. But the brand was damaged long before Disney overpaid for it and decided to fuck it up in a slightly different way.
I'll agree that the movies are bad, but the thing is there's still soul and passion in it; you can actually feel the potential in the films that could not be manifested due to Lucas being bad with working with actors and dialogue.

On top of that, the side media was mostly good. Most of the games at the time were actually really good, and while I don't give too much of a fuck about books, they still were on average... well average. Plus Tartarovsky's Clone Wars was actually HOW to make a good product in the prequel worlds.

With this shit?

Mandalorian is kind of it, along with MAYBE Rogue One for some of you. Kind of.

Rogue One is decent because it's only 2 hours long. I simply can't believe a TV series of the same quality as Rogue One or even TFA can hold any interest for more than 4 or 5 episodes, it's just too soulless for a TV show. It would be ok for a movie, maybe.

Back to good old "Hehe, nerds, playing your games and watching your stuff. Go get laid! Heuaha!"
I mean we get that anyways now, they just stole all the "Best" Nerd shit and tell us we are "Incel Nazis" when we we say "hey you are turning Star Wars into trash you Rich Yuppie Poser"

Question, my fellow tard brothahs, talking about something that has some quality to it.

The Force Unleashed

What are your thoughts on it and Starkiller's character?
It came to me as I wondered about their games and how the character of Starkiller could be seen as a "Gary Sue" since he defeats both Vader and Sideous (even having the option to kill Vader, tho he canonically decides not to). Personally I never minded it but it does make you wonder if his feat of defeating Vader and Sideous wouldnt be going too far, Galen had shown natural potential with the force when he was a freaking toddler (he fucking force pulls Vader's lightsaber from his grasp like it was nothing) and being trained by Vader himself by being put under constant torturous and life threatening conditions would definetly give him a natural edge against him. The problem is that I never felt like Galen was truly trained that much by the dark side, he should have ended up as something like Darth Maul and yet Galen was capable of changing sides and even "becoming a Jedi" somewhat (which for me just felt like they were trying to force a light side ending). But with all its flaws, I do enjoy the game for what it is, especially for the time it came out (no wonder the new game is trying to copy it).
Now to quickly talk about the sequel
Nope, I dont like it, felt forced as hell and the starkiller clone felt like cheap plot device to bring him back but "not really", the first game ended on a tragic bittersweet note that added to the universe at the end, Galen's family icon becoming that of the rebellion was a nice touch and Vader accidentally helping the rebellion (while a bit forced in my eyes, seeing a patern here?) had that nice touch of dramatic irony. The sequel dropped most of these things and its far too short...and thats it, there isnt much to talk about the sequel, it was pretty much the last significant game Lucasfilm did it before Disney bought them, anything else was cancelled or was stuck in development hell.

I played the DS port of that game a long, long time ago. I kind of liked it, and honestly, him managing against Vader wasn't the most confusing bit for me: it was him managing against Shaak Tii. With Vader, Starkiller had Force Lightning, Vader's greatest weakness. With Palpatine, he sort of won, but basically got as far as Windu did: maybe halfway before Palpatine starts breaking out the superheavy Force shit as he realizes shit is hitting the fan. His betrayal angst sort of makes sense, but not really. He turns a bit too fast.

Back to good old "Hehe, nerds, playing your games and watching your stuff. Go get laid! Heuaha!" instead of "Omg, Im so like the underdogs! I like this when NO ELSE does! Im very special! And geeky!"

Big Bang Theory is the cancer that spread into the nerd/geek culture and infected it from within and spread without check. Any episode of that show is literally cringe for me to watch it. I hate it so much and all the cunts that ape that mentality who are nuthugging all over any shit Sheldon does.

If they did a BBT+Star Wars cross over I would sign off the internet as that would be insufferable beyond words.

I wonder what will be their next big thing to infiltrate and take over.

Table Top RPG's and Miniature War Gaming. Already they are infecting Games Workshop and we've already kissed off WOTC and Paizo in the RPG industry as too far gone to save.
