That's your first mistake right there. The Mandalorian is literally the only Star Wars project I care...
Granted, that is exactly what they try on their marketing for their movies, too.Amazing how such a basic fucking concept as "character does cool shit unexpectedly = character gets popular" was lost on the rat goons who genuinely thought and still seem to genuinely think all they need to do to make a character popular is to tell people the character is cool and popular without doing shit to back this up in the movies

Its more embarrassing then that

It's not a sci-fi series, it's a lifestyle series. A dark stainless steel oven coordinates perfectly with our $400 Darth Vader dutch oven, or the $450 Han Solo Roaster.
Soooo Geek Chic!
Give it another 5 or 10 years and it will pass.Whenever I see shit like this, I realize that nerd/geek culture going mainstream was a fucking fatal mistake...

More like like it will pass because the appeal behind it is gone, so they will just move on to the next niche thing to exploit and try to force it into normies.
Yep, and then nerd culture can go back to the nerds who will rebuild it.
I wonder what will be their next big thing to infiltrate and take over.More like like it will pass because the appeal behind it is gone, so they will just move on to the next niche thing to exploit and try to force it into normies.

I'll agree that the movies are bad, but the thing is there's still soul and passion in it; you can actually feel the potential in the films that could not be manifested due to Lucas being bad with working with actors and dialogue.Let's not exaggerate the state of Star Wars before The Mouse bought it. Lucas fucking ruined the franchise with his atrocious prequel films. People like to claim the PT are ackshually great compared to the ST. No they aren't. They're awful.
You could say live action SW was at least still restricted to the films, and that would be true. But the brand was damaged long before Disney overpaid for it and decided to fuck it up in a slightly different way.
Mandalorian is kind of it, along with MAYBE Rogue One for some of you. Kind of.
I mean we get that anyways now, they just stole all the "Best" Nerd shit and tell us we are "Incel Nazis" when we we say "hey you are turning Star Wars into trash you Rich Yuppie Poser"Back to good old "Hehe, nerds, playing your games and watching your stuff. Go get laid! Heuaha!"
So is Rey going back to her home planet because they need her? This is the difference between a breakout character and a poochie.
I played the DS port of that game a long, long time ago. I kind of liked it, and honestly, him managing against Vader wasn't the most confusing bit for me: it was him managing against Shaak Tii. With Vader, Starkiller had Force Lightning, Vader's greatest weakness. With Palpatine, he sort of won, but basically got as far as Windu did: maybe halfway before Palpatine starts breaking out the superheavy Force shit as he realizes shit is hitting the fan. His betrayal angst sort of makes sense, but not really. He turns a bit too fast.Question, my fellow tard brothahs, talking about something that has some quality to it.
The Force Unleashed
What are your thoughts on it and Starkiller's character?
It came to me as I wondered about their games and how the character of Starkiller could be seen as a "Gary Sue" since he defeats both Vader and Sideous (even having the option to kill Vader, tho he canonically decides not to). Personally I never minded it but it does make you wonder if his feat of defeating Vader and Sideous wouldnt be going too far, Galen had shown natural potential with the force when he was a freaking toddler (he fucking force pulls Vader's lightsaber from his grasp like it was nothing) and being trained by Vader himself by being put under constant torturous and life threatening conditions would definetly give him a natural edge against him. The problem is that I never felt like Galen was truly trained that much by the dark side, he should have ended up as something like Darth Maul and yet Galen was capable of changing sides and even "becoming a Jedi" somewhat (which for me just felt like they were trying to force a light side ending). But with all its flaws, I do enjoy the game for what it is, especially for the time it came out (no wonder the new game is trying to copy it).
Now to quickly talk about the sequel
Nope, I dont like it, felt forced as hell and the starkiller clone felt like cheap plot device to bring him back but "not really", the first game ended on a tragic bittersweet note that added to the universe at the end, Galen's family icon becoming that of the rebellion was a nice touch and Vader accidentally helping the rebellion (while a bit forced in my eyes, seeing a patern here?) had that nice touch of dramatic irony. The sequel dropped most of these things and its far too short...and thats it, there isnt much to talk about the sequel, it was pretty much the last significant game Lucasfilm did it before Disney bought them, anything else was cancelled or was stuck in development hell.
Back to good old "Hehe, nerds, playing your games and watching your stuff. Go get laid! Heuaha!" instead of "Omg, Im so like the underdogs! I like this when NO ELSE does! Im very special! And geeky!"
I wonder what will be their next big thing to infiltrate and take over.
To think this is what Disney drones were most optimistic about.
