All that aside, Phil should know that contracts tend to be very specific. He tried to play off the whole Laveria/Pultavi thing like "They didn't have my name listed, so they had no right to my stuff." Nevermind, he was earlier talking about jerking off them for everything he could, even if they had paperwork messed up; thinking he'd be able to get things his way if things went south.

I really think that part of DSP lore gets understated a lot.

DSP legit admitted to fraud. He said that he fully expected Laveria to uphold their end of the contract but if things went bad that he could bail because his name was misspelled.

1) No. If your name is misspelled on the contract and you still agree to it/sign it in good faith, the contract is still valid. So the best case scenario is the business degree still rendered him stupid.

2) Even if that's not legally fraud, that's still shady as fuck.

Phil and Kat sleep in separate rooms. If that isn't the gayest shit I've ever heard, I'll eat my hat.

Before you say there is no proof, there is more proof they have separate rooms than proof they share a bed.

I know of a few that do that, but they are happily married and that's usually due to a legit snoring problem. I don't doubt DSP has a legit snoring problem based on his post nasal drip, so the separate rooms thing might not be a big piece of evidence. Then again, we have many other pieces of evidence.

other streamers get by because they constantly have new people coming into their lives and tossing shekels around.
In addition to streamers who are growing, even if their customer base is stagnant other streamers may only have 400 average live viewers or average video views like DSP but their customer base is multiple times 400 people.

other streamers know that there will be lulls in donations
and that people who like to donate will donate at certain times of the month
you're not going to get the same amount of money every day
or every month
it comes and goes, it's part of the job

phil expects 400 bucks everyday
phil expects the same 200 people watching his stream to give him 2 bucks everyday nonstop

i was going to put in "he doesn't want new people" but it's kind of weird
if someone big enough raid him, he shits himself and closes stream
but he's fine getting tons of new people by playing a hot game
i don't get it

Out of sheer curiosity, where is the proof they are not sleeping together? Not doubting you just wanting a place to verify that claim is all.

Phil calls Kat's "office" her "room" and people sometimes mistake this to mean her "bedroom"

Phil has also mentioned at least twice now that Jasper (AKA Casper AKA Felix) has woke him up at 5am - 7am by jumping on the bed. During these complaints he never talks about Kat waking up or being beside him in bed even though she apparently works a full time job and would need her sleep also.

The two photos that Phil posted of Kat in her "office" playing Skyrim are taken from a low angle. Meaning he's not standing behind her, and whatever he is sitting on is lower than the average chair height. This could mean that she has a bed in the corner of the room but theres no solid proof of that... yet.

Because it is a threat. Calling Phil a cult leader is giving the man too much credit, but he's a true narc and must defend his ego at all costs in front of his followers. Random people might come into the stream and, not knowing the rules of engagement might make a masturbation/gout joke and get the "ack ack ack, idiot" treatment to go with their ban.

However if a big streamer comes in with a hundred viewers of their own, he runs the risk of said streamer or his followers ribbing him and losing control of the narrative. He wouldn't be able to mock or ban and lord knows he has no gift for banter. He's terrified of other "alphas" coming onto his turf and looking like a bitch in front of his crew, so he has to pretend he left the stove on at home as he leaves the area.

Doesn’t get that money right away so it doesn’t exist in his head for some reason?

Idk why he just memory holes the money he gets from the first stream. i wonder if it’s because he knows there might be different people at the second stream to bait out some sympathy money
He's not the only one. Trolls like Tevin and his donators think the same way. If it isn't tips, it doesn't seem to count as "real money". So troll away with them cheers, it doesn't matter..

Man this grinds my gears and admittingly it's a dumb that it does, but you see it all the time on twitter "hahaha Phil only made $20 today" when adding in cheers/subs it could easily double the number or more, depending on the day. All they'd have to do is add "in tips" to the end of the sentence and it would be true. People like @EddyB43, @SoapQueen1, and @actually either currently or in the past take the time to do the work, it isn't hard to quote the number.

I am very interested in watching Phil play Pokemon Snort and Shill. We all know how Gamefreak dropped the ball on this game #Gamefreaklied. With Phil auctioning off the naming rights to the highest bidder I expect him to hype this game up while trying to fight his urge to shit all over Gamefreak and Nintendo because that is the trend on Twitter. It should give us the perfect cocktail of clown mode, shilling, and grumpy Boomer gin fueled rants. If the handicapped Wailmer don't splash the cash on the Pig we could be knee deep in gold dust.

$200 in subs proceeding into a slow night?

It's almost like his viewership doesn't have infinite money. Bullshit life bug, IMHO.
Tevin brought this up during his last restream of DSP, he said, "it's a bad idea to push for contributions through two different platforms at the same time and think it's going to work." Phil should have picked one between subs or PayPal. He's acting like he's a bigger streamer that can pull in more money and it's not the case. He hovers around the same yearly total for the last 3 years so it safe to say that he's plateaued for the time being. That situation probably creates a little bit of uncertainty in Phil's mind.

Regarding DSP's dismissal of bits, that is because back 2017 he was pulling a lot more money through bits. People would stack up the free bits and throw it at DSP, now I think that the effort isn't there not to also mention that Twitch has change the rate of bit earned with ads. Tevin pointed it out that DSP was pulling nearly 50-100 daily during the first half of 2017.

The only thing that matters in DSP's world is daily tips, top cheer and sub count. Everything else he would like to be MIB flashed from everyone's mind. The problem is his prolonged prestreams and repetitious rants. Which if you dare quote those you are taking him out of context.

Been lurking here for a month or two but this new Phil arc interested me.

I didn't even say anything too obvious. It was along the lines of "Hello chat and phil".
Banned instantly of course.

I still don't understand why DSP has a total tip goal of $200 between his two streaming sessions but splits that goal heavily weighted into the shorter, later, stream? He'd psychologically do 'better' at reaching that daily total in tips if he had an earlier stream tip goal total of around $133 (for nice integer of 5 numbers, let's go to $135 for the early four hour afternoon streams) and the remaining $65 (or $67 is he's going to split it exactly based on time streaming percentages) it seems to me. The math is the math in the books no matter how he hits or doesn't hit the goal but trying to get paid a raise to essentially $50 an hour in tips just because he's streaming later seems like a questionable tactic. Of course asking to get paid an average $34 an hour in tips for every hour he streams will still be laughable but won't lead to psychological frustration late at night as often on his part when he fails to hit the goal leveraged against the late stream.

When Kat was sick last year she was sleeping downstairs on the couch, supposedly so she wouldn't get Phil sick. If they were sleeping in separate bedrooms, what would be the point of going downstairs? Phil has also said that he stays up super late after a stream so Kat can get as much sleep as possible before he crawls into bed with her and inevitably wakes her up. This has lead to situations where he falls asleep downstairs after the stream and Kat has to come get him (the story of he had a "bad dream" and jumped up, turned around, and fell on his knee).

Though I suppose we only know all of this from what Phil has told us through his life stories so take it with a rock of salt, but I don't think there are separate rooms, unfortunately for Mrs. Burnell. I guess a house tour video would prove or disprove all of this conjecture.

If there ARE separate bedrooms, that means either 1) Panda had her own separate bed in her "office" and Kat is sleeping on that same bed now or 2) DSP, after spending tax money to fly Kat in and move her in, ALSO spent money to buy her a mattress to sleep on in her "office"

How is the pokemon naming auction house even going to work? My boomer ass hasn't played Pokemon a while but you top out at six pokemon for your party, one of which is the starter which I get the feeling scrubs who don't get the meta tend to hang on to, I know I did. They're exclusive/rare, came with a great move set and by virtue of being your first tend to be the highest level.

That leaves five other slots that will be in some flux through to the mid game, but as the game goes on it becomes more and more annoying to grind those level 20 wild pokemon up to 40, assuming they're even worth exchanging for whatever you have in the first place.

I guess I'm curious how he'll balance his greed against the health and strength of his party. That is assuming he doesn't try to auction the names of pokemon he'll send directly to the computer, because that would be especially exceptional, even for DSP. There's also the potential problem of him naming his prize.. fuck, Makrow? after some sped for $200 only to run into a modern-era Ho-Oh 30 minutes later.

I wonder if he's thought any of this through.

There’s no reward for hitting the tips goal, so it’s literally just a “I’d like to make this much money or I’ll bitch about it later” goal. So I don’t think he cares enough and I’m assuming he thinks there’s a completely different set of people watching the night stream in order to drum up sympathy tips

Calling it right now: He's going to auction off every single Pokemon's name even if they are just box trash.

You don't have to include your starter, unless this is something new in Sw/Sh. Your starter comes at the beginning so they start getting XP right away which makes them carry the rest of the team as they have a head start on leveling up. I could see it making sense (which doesn't mean DSP will do it) to have the "main team" get picked and named by the top contributor.

But he's a creature of habit so he's probably going to do the Minecraft route of wait til the end of the stream, top contributor gets to name a Pokemon, tell him through e-mail which one you want named, and next time we play (who knows when that will be) remind me and I'll go nickname that Meowth "Jasper" or what the fuck ever your $200 bought at the Name Rater. This will of course come with the ever-shifting end time of the stream "ok we end when I get to the pokemon center, oh wait I gotta save, oh wait we got a 50 bit cheer, oh wait I haven't talked to this NPC yet, oh wait I need to buy items, okay everyone, NOWWAITAMINUTE"
