Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Apparently the comics have gotten so bad they are actually putting in ships made by fans and tracing miniatures for the art.

Is this common in comics? This just seems like really shoddy quality control.

It's especially impressive, considering that EckhartsLadder is one of the few SW-aficionados on YouTube whose been relatively positive regarding Disney's handling of Star Wars, at least in regards to the Last Jedi. For some odd reason, he actually came to like the movie after watching it multiple times. He's also you're stereotypical Canadian liberal, so Disney's politics align with his own.

Just goes to show how much clout The Mouse has lost.

All he needs to do now is take one step further and realize the movies have the same problem.

I'm glad BBT got canceled just to take away Wil Wheaton's last job that he'll ever have.

He was big into audiobook narration for a while, most notably narrating the Ready Player One audiobook, as well as other books. This is a medium that has exploded over the past few years. and it seems anybody with a halfway tolerable speaking voice and the right connections can earn a living, if not exactly get rich doing this. Yet he seems to have stopped pursuing this sort of thing completely. Or being invited to do this thing. Very odd.

FWIW, I'm kind of a fan of Ready Player One, but even I found his narration barely tolerable at regular speed. He sounded like a special education teacher instructing a class of retards on how to tie their shoes. But that's me. Nobody can deny the dude has fans, and I would imagine his voice attached to a book would be more likely to help rather than hurt sales.

I still believe the "Original" sonic design was intentionally bad to provoke a backlash they could "listen to fan feedback" about.
.

Hollyweird is not that smart and is barely lucky to complete Tic-Tac-To let alone a 4D chess move like that.

Honestly, not to power lvl but I intend to create my own comic series (if not brand) one day and Im wondering how we could possibly bring a rebirth to the industry because it is in despered need of a reboot with actual people that give a shit. Comics aint going anywhere but those assholes surely are.

Gesh, its almost listening the fans and having the guts to admit you are wrong actually pays off

Do it, write your own. I wanted to. I can write like a SOB but I can't draw to save my own ass from failing coloring in kindergarden. I write all the time about things and all it takes is a good solid story that resonates with your audience (People with Money) and you too can be as successful as Ya Boi Zack and @FROG .

Earlier this year Scott Mendelson was claiming that the Sonic movie counted as serious competition to hamper Episode IX's box office. At the time, I wrote it off as some next level shillery out of desperation to run damage control for the Mouse.

Now? That might've been one of his more prescient moments.

Even a broken digital clock is right once in a blue moon.

Hire some one. You can get stupidly good foreign artists for cheap. I found a britbong guy who could do soup to nuts on the art as a intro campaign for 125 per page

what in the world is a britbong and why does it sound like a sketchy devart person.

You know, I have realized it, wouldnt the plot of the force awakens have been way better if Starkiller base didnt wipe out the New Republic but rather the whole plot was to prevent that? Imagine how insane would be having the corrupt burocrats refusing to believe such weapon exists (even with evidence, showing that in a way, the senate is almost as blind and corrupted as the Old Republic's) and the resistance being the only ones that actually are willing to take preventive action (even with the "risks to trigger another major conflict that would lead to senseless waste of resources" ).
Han being a smuggler? Turns out its mostly a cover up, Han is studying the underworld to learn what he can about the first order and even finding out memers of the senate that sympatize with TFO and are messing with the evidence they were provided to fool the senate as a whole that there is no real threat. His divorce with Leia? All part of the cover up (or else who would believe that he would just go back to the smuggling business if he was still married to famous Leia Organa?). I do imagine Han enjoys being back at smuggling but he still knows that his nostalgia trip has a purpose.
Besides that I imagined a scary possibility...
What if...
The force users were fading from existence?

Think about it, imagine the title crawl talking about how force users arent being born anymore for whatever reason. The force still exists but its user numbers are dwedling more and more. So not only Luke is gone but the only major force users are dark side users (besides Leia but her force powers arent nearly as skilled as Luke's). Those who believe in the force (kind like that church of the force in the beginning of the movie) are having a crisis of faith
"The Force has abandoned us"
"The Force is PUNISHING us for abusing its gifts, the sith are gone but we still reap the consequences..."
Others believe that this is a test however
"The fate of the force in this universe is at stake, we must pass whatever test is it offering us..."

Another thing I think would have been for the better is if Han learned of a traitor to TFO being in Jakko, he heads there and meets with Finn (who I imagine is younger, around the age of a teen), but he confirms to Han that Starkiller base DOES exist and its preparing to destroy the New Republic as the ones that sold it out would be hiding away safely from its destruction...however, I think they get attacked by The First Order and end up splitting up (Han on his own and Chewie with Finn). I imagine while he is hiding and trying to blend in, he sees a girl trying to sell junk, the seller gives her way less than it was worth (to which Han just gives a "that asshole..." look on his face) but she gets understandably upset and demands more...the seller punch her in the face for daring to act like she herself is worth more. Han obviously grows pissed and tells the guy to pick someone his own size.

"Real brave, tough guy, try do that on a wookie and see what happens!"

The seller tells Han to fuck off, he shows him the blaster on his belt.

"Trust me, pal, you dont want to get on my bad side. You wont live to regret it..."
And Han helps the girl on her feet. She asks why he did it and he says who in their right mind would just watch that happen? She says that everyone does that.
"Well, where I am from, people tend to act a little bit better. But I used to be surrounded by all sort of scum in the past...I was kind of 'nerf herder'...not scruffy looking tho."

She helps him hide away from TFO and he sees how lonely and deprived her life style is. He knows he has to join up with Chewie and Finn so he tries to leave before they were totally gone. However he gets attacked by a TFO soldier after the seller from before sells him out (to which Han shoots him with his blaster when the soldier begins shooting), I imagine the little girl is screaming in terror during all of it. Han kills most of them but one catches him off guard and they begin to fight (clearly Han isnt the best at hand to hand combat, especially at his older years). The little girl cries for the soldier to stop and suddenly he gets pushed away from Han out of nowhere. Han uses this chance to grab his blaster and shoot the soldier in the face...he looks at the girl and see her shaking with her arm stretched out...
Han is in shock and asks "Wh-but...how? What...who are you?"
She weakly answers "R-re-Rey...." and passes out.

Man I just realized how long that was, this is starting to sound like a Star Wars Theory video "What if Ep 7 was better written". I did have more so maybe if you want, I can post a "part 2" later on. This isnt meant to be a fanfiction, more just me sharing ideas I think could have built a much better setting and narrative and I just gotten lost in it.

At least it doesnt destroy anything established before like the ST did.

Or perhaps the Light Side can only exist if the Dark Side does? Doubtless not canon, but no worse than some of the nonsense Disney has pushed.

Here is the thing, its the over arching mystery of the trilogy, why is the force "abandoning" the galaxy? Its something for both new and old characters to work towards while also stopping the first order (while its implied they or at least their supreme leader, has something to do with the force fading away).
And yes, this IS meant to be theorized over the trilogy so all possibilities are "possible" somewhat...unlike a certain Jar head who cant accept the fact his vision doesnt have jackshit against some of the genius theories people have came up with.

Unsurprisingly, I’m starting to get more excited for the fucking Sonic movie than Episode IX. At least Sonic looks silly in a fun way, while Episode IX looks boring as fuck.
Memes, @Godzilla@1989
Think about the memes!
The memes will be beautiful, although I am steadfast in my belief that Alfred Coleman should have been Eggman. In other scenes, his evil laugh is on point as well.

I wouldn't want him narrating my books in general but I felt like he was perfect for RPO. Who better for a book about obscure old nerd references than a living obscure old nerd reference?

Right before I woke up (sorry, poor choice of terms)...
Right before I dumped all Marvel nu-Wars products, the tracing faces had gotten REALLY bad in the main title. I mean, it was obvious that they were from OT screenshots. It's beyond lazy. And I'm beyond done giving them money!

In other words classic Yin&Yang?

Could also be used to give Kylo a purpose beyond just being an edgy Vader fanboy.
