He was doing a big project at the time, I think Scooby Doo, and his people didn't like that so they asked him to avoid the event due to liability.

Fans biting their idols is a lot more common than one would think. I think the most recent time it happened was Sebastian Stan at some comic con.

But Scott was pretty cool about it, just had to do what he had to do to keep the people who paid him happy.

Biting, licking, and groping male actors and band members is so extremely common that a subculture of it became as commonly accepted as twin threesomes. It's basically the same mentality as groupies, who would trick rock stars into thinking that they were adult women (while being as young as 13 in reality) and then try to get pregnant by them so that they could be married or famous somehow. There used to be magazines specifically targeted at groupies with tips and tricks about how to convincingly pretend to be an adult, and how to keep a rock star boyfriend. While it's less implicitly accepted to just trick men into sex anymore (I believe that's called rape by deceit), I can actually link to posts from people on tumblr and livejournal complaining not about VAs groping fans, but about fans groping VAs, and the observer being made uncomfortable by it. Or of posts where said fans gloat and cheer about how they grabbed on to some guy butt (in one particular case I believe it was two female fans who posed for pictures with Vic and then grabbed him inappropriately off camera right when the photo was taken, then giggling about him being uncomfortable.

I think people often underestimate how fans treat actors. Obviously people are much more wary around actresses, actors are a different story. Kit Harrington complained that random women would just outright grab his ass and crotch and felt free to do so. And that when he complained about it, it was treated as a joke. The guy's fucking married and women felt like it was ok to do this because he was Jon Snuh. Its not really a wonder why he went to rehab.

If you were married to a hot redhead and fat catladies constantly tried to fondle you with impunity I think you'd do drugs too.

I recall one story with Daniel Radcliffe saying something about a girl running up outside his hotel window and opening up a towel she was wrapped in (a Harry Potter one, I think) to show off her nakedness to him. While he was very underage. Any heart throb type actor always seems to end up groped and variously molested by their fans unsettlingly often. And then when they tell the story, it's always treated as comedy.

In fairness, they're fangirling over a 100 year old vampire who looks like a 17 year old, not over an actual 17 year old boy. The anime community is full of the reverse, and they're called lolicon. No one calls the police on them, they're just embarrassed by them.

A quick FYI to the kiwis with photoshop or similar skills out there. When I was looking at the redactions in the law document that contained the billing info, I did notice Casey ericks sideways billing documents had black boxes over them that could be removed like west-nile's. Unlike West Nile he had blacked out under it as well, before, scanning it in.

Minor. Froppy is a side character, but she gets very little spotlight at all, and often ends up doing things offscreen or shipped off out of the way during plots. She's disproportionately popular because she's waifu due to people being kinky freaks who like her being frog-like, but her role isn't beefy at all. At least not as far as the anime is at. It might change some time in the manga, much like how Uraraka used to be important in the anime but is soon to drop off into unimportance like most females in shounen anime.

For anyone wondering, the other two people next to her are Kyle Phillips (VA for Denki Kaminari from MHA) and Pearl Mackie (Bill Potts from Doctor Who).

I don't know how MHA's fandom is over in Britain but I do know Doctor Who's is insanely big. So this could very well be just a messy as fuck line that's meant for all of them.

I don't think it's run off, although I think it's also misleading to an extent, or badly organized, I wouldn't entirely rule that out. Taken at face value, this implies a line of about 20 people total (poster says this was taken halfway through, and there's probably around 10 people ahead of her, no way to tell if they're all in line for an autograph or if some are just hanging out with friends, considering the width of the line I have to assume there's at least some of that going on). A lot of the people in the picture are not in her line, they're in the other random lines. I assume it was more clearly dilineated, or at least easier to tell which line was which, on site, but in the picture it just looks like a massive blob of people in front of her slot.

Now, that said, if she had a solid flow of 10-20 people all day, that's solid work. And also, between Monica and Steve Blum was Pearl Mackie (who was in Dr. Who) and I'd expect her to be a bigger deal in the UK, where this con was. So if anyone was making her booth look good it'd be Mackie.

I think it's unfair to think of Froppy as worthless trash character. You could argue that Froppy in MHA is on par with Bulma in DBZ, it's just that DBZ is significantly more popular and has been around a lot longer. Although, a better analog might be that Froppy is like Ino in Naruto. She is popular in the fanbase and has a following but isn't a core character. The notable girls are: Ochaco (theoretical love interest), Froppy (sister type) and Momo (sexy girl)... and Toga (the Harley Quinn of MHA).

It's actually pretty hard to "position" character in MHA as the writter did a really good job giving each of them a good depth.
Froppy is definitively a fan favorite, but this anime have a lot of fan favorites, and people usually says that all girls are best girl in MHA.
She isn't part of the "main students" (group including the main protagonist, his love interest, his best friend, the angry rival, and the calm rival).
But Froppy definitivelly is amongst the most beloved "support students" (i would argue she's probably the 2nd most beloved support student).

The character isn't popular only for being a waifu. It's a whole package, cool design, cool power, good writting.

I think a lot of people believe that just because the legal age to do porn is 18/21 that so is the age of consent. it's a year lower in my country.

Even if it were true that Vic's new girlfriend is someone he cheated with, Steve Blum is married to the woman he cheated with on his last wife and no one cares. Monica's fiance beat his two ex wives and very likely may end up beating her, too.

You're both misattributing 'not important' as 'bad'. I don't personally care for Froppy because I find her flat, but what I mean is that her importance to the plot is almost nonexistent, and she gets shuffled offscreen very often compared to some of the other students. Iida gets more focus than Froppy more often, as does Momo. Froppy gets a lot of "and while I was off screen, I did something really cool! Unfortunately that means I was too busy to help the main plot". She gets more focus than Pinkie, but definitely is in the Ino category of "characters who do lots of stuff offscreen and are popular with the audience, but don't do anything important onscreen except during brief spotlight moments".

Anyway, my point is that although Froppy is really popular as a waifu, as far as what it means for a VA getting her role, she's not that important outside of the waifu boost. Hours will be short in the booth, and there's likely to be much fewer panels and such that invite her than if she were voicing Uraraka, Toga, or Momo.

But in the context of this case, we're talking dictionary (not legal) definition of pedophile, aren't we? I swear any of the claims being levelled at Vic fall into the 16-17 range, despite the fact that a few phrase it as "I was 17 at the time but looked like I was 12". In which case Shane being into a 16-17 year old is the same thing as Vic is accused of.
