Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

We're going to see the worst of both worlds as a supposedly pro-business deregulating Justice Department lets film companies go completely hog fucking wild and do things like force theaters to take multiple films if they want the one that actually makes money. But instead of using this new power to make money which any rational robber baron would do, they'll instead ram absolute woke bullshit that nobody wants down the theaters' throats.

They may actually just start buying the cinema chains, or opening their own competing venues. The Justice Dep't. is considering doing away with rules dating back to 1949 that prevented that sort of thing.

Justice Dept. to Abolish Movie Distribution Rules Dating to 1949

Weird that the Hollywood hating Trump Administration would move forward with something like this, but there you have it. Assuming it happens the Democrats won't say boo, b/c of how dependent they are on Hollywood money and publicity.

...Daisy Ridley and JJ won't shut up about Kylo and Rey's relationship. I can only assume that the higher ups are forcing them to tease this despite previously denying it since they realize that's the only reason the Twilight-tie drones want to watch this shit. This is Star Wars now. ITS FUCKING TWILIGHT.
I told you so, and I told you so since fucking December last year.

The rush of vindication is beautiful, and it's even better that I got a response from Bacca, to whom I will say: Reagan was a shit president and as much as I hate Disney Wars for its stupid injection of idpol dogwhistles into it, I also hate injection of right-wing politics into media critique. Substitute "SJW" for "Republican" in your response and watch in amazement as it transforms into any tweet from any SJW from any time.

Yeah, good luck with that I guess if they want to choke out theater chains more than they already do by forcing them to show their movies with no other choice.
God forbid people get sick of their garbage and go watch a movie at a competing chain that shows non Disney shit.

Its so surreal really. I mean you could argue that Anakin and Padme's awkward romance was Twilight-tier, but it never caught on and was rightfully criticized, but then you have this Reylo nonsense which is the only thing idiots are praising Disney shit for while creaming their XXL pants over the thought of them even touching hands, and the fact that Reylo is based on a "romance" that never really existed until a shitty shirtless scene in TLJ just makes people's obsession with it all the more retarded. Same with FinnPoe fags. This shipping nonsense is what makes up the majority of the active fanbase now and its sickening.

Chicoms own AMC. Amc might buy out some smaller studios

See, but that's the thing. I always see that SJWs will accuse and lambast people for exactly what they're doing, trying to cancel them for exactly what they're guilty of. I guess the problem is where right wing ideologues may have had the megaphone a couple decades ago, now it's the left wing. That's my guess, but I think the difference is they have always had the media on their side. Walter Cronkite said it himself that you couldn't be a journalist without being a leftist. So I'd have to side with Itchy on this again, as often as he likes to use the phrase "uneducated SJW savages" in every blog post. It's repetitive and might be annoying, but I'm betting you agree with him anyways.

Last night I made a bumpersticker:

The great thing is, you can use this if you are an OT person, a prequel guy, or, you can just use it ironically to let folks know even the prequels were better than what is trickling out of Mickey's diaper now.

Anakin and Padme's romance to me feels like it was supposed to be awkward. It wasn't portrayed as the GREATEST ROMANCE TO EVER STRIKE THE GALAXAH but it was important to the people in it. Meanwhile this Reylo shit is spouted out by shippers as the thing Star Wars was meant to be all along.

Remember that all these characters are blank slates. These people don't actually care about the romance, they just insert themselves into the role of whatever fantasy with an actor they want.

Just because one side is doing this shit doesn't exactly justify the other side in doing the same thing. The history of the American political system has been the left and right screeching at each other over jack shit, and understanding this and not falling into the same trap is the only way things will progress. Do people remember the Religious Right from the 70's to the early 2000's and even in some places today? The people who would scream "think of the children" just as loudly and angrily as the modern SJW? The cancer's on both sides of the body but that doesn't exactly excuse being cancerous yourself.

To get back on track with Star Wars, and hopefully to leave any and all tardfights over politics in PMs, it seems to me that the only fanbase for the Nuquels are shippers, so I think that TROS will crater like TLJ did, since Ren will get kicked into a hole and die. It's hilarious, TROS is apparently still undergoing reshoots and redevelopments. It's the 20th of November, it's thirty days to release and it's still not done yet.

Solo lost money outright

We can assume it did as it tanked badly but what are the actual accounting numbers to show on paper that it did? Disney would NEVER release them as it would give assholes like us talking points to prove what a god awful shitfest that movie was.

I'm not especially when QuarterPounder puts out a video like this saying that people who were getting PAID to see the movie still walked out as they said it was utter trash:

Star Wars DISASTER? Walk Outs Reported In Rise Of Skywalker Screenings

See the attached graph. I don't have any numbers for merch sales, and if I did, I'd think it'd be a similar result to the movies (see WCBS's pile of videos showing stack upon stack of unsold toys)

So like if I could get JJ to have Started Rey and Kylo it would have went like this

So Han and Leia were like Cool Siblings/Aunts/Uncles /role models for the first generation to be divorced

They had a hot passionate romance during the war but the peace....Leia being a politician and Han being her pet war hero husband. That couldn't ever work. Thats how Ben starts off wrong. He stayed with mom [So he could force train with her at least in the begining] but he wanted to be with his Dad [who was his hero. Who he externalizes as the good side of himself] he views Leia as more cold and calculating. She wasn't but thats how stuff can get twisted in his mind as a kid.

Han comes back and takes him to train with Luke. Leia never talked about the war or her dad or darth vader or any of that. So his his Dad telling him about who he was and how he became the man he is now makes him stoked to go off and train with Uncle Luke.

Luke has been reluctant to restart the Jedi Order. Han gets offended Luke doesn't want to teach Ben and Luke tells him to calm down. He says he "kindof" understands how they Jedi keep failing. Their connection to the republic is what leads to corruption seeping into the Jedi order. So Luke is afraid of repeating the mistakes of the past. However he reluctantly agrees with Han that things will only be worse for everyone if Ben doesnt get the proper training so he agrees.

Ben hears all of this and it increases his dark thoughts for his mother and his own dark thoughts about himself.

Ben and Luke become like Anakin and Obi-Wan. legendary heroes of the galaxy. Pressure on Luke to restart the Jedi order grows and ben now a more confident learner speaks up "Isn't fear of the past ultimately the dark side clouding our judgement?"

Luke agrees to restart the order and the first mission in this new Jedi era begins with Luke and Ben with Snoke

Snoke finances the rebirth of the Jedi order and plot goes more or less how JJ does it.

Rey is the opposite. Born into Squalor and suffering she always does the right thing does the good thing....and NEVER does the wrong thing. Even though her whole life she just thinks "its just so easy....just one little push." Whereas Ben Started off good and crumbled because everything in his life fell apart and became a insecure and fragile man. Rey is a resiliant heroic figure who just needs some one to tell her "Embrace your feelings"

See the attached graph. I don't have any numbers for merch sales, and if I did, I'd think it'd be a similar result to the movies (see WCBS's pile of videos showing stack upon stack of unsold toys)
I'll try to find the stockholder report. Toy division lost 40% during the Solo period

If the Kiwi Farms thread here had total control over Star Wars, things would be very different. We've thrown actually good ideas at each other for years now, with the barest bit of effort.

A random collection of houseplants and gerbils could make a better Star Wars than Disney.
The Gerbil Collective is the modern day Kubrick you fucking mongoloid, don't diss them by comparing them to Disney in that manner!
I mean its not hard to give Kylo good and compelling [and more importantly Operatic] motivations and drives
Which makes the utter failure of Disney, JJ, and KK to do so all the more hilarious. I used to think that this shit was sad, but I realize now that it's fucking funny. Pride follows before the fall and this fall is a fucking hysterical one.

Also they like the meta. if you were a #80skid the original trio is kind of like your parents. So this is about confronting the greatness and the humanity of your parents as they go from being all powerful heroes of the galaxy to people fighting their last battle with dignity

Han, Luke, Leia, and Lando all needed a great going out moment

I swear if this was a long con meta work by George this would be his greatest piece of pottery, a piece of ceramics work to rival that of the Gods. Think about the fucking layers we have here.

The old order is subverted by the expansionist, corrupted Empire. (Lucas sells SW to Disney)
"It's like poetry"-> Just as Luke emulated Vader thematically (until meeting the Emperor, where Luke was able to resist), Disney emulates Lucas (except for meeting the fans, where Lucas was able to create)
An old order of peacekeepers and followers being scattered and declared enemies of the state by the new order (Old fans called racists)
Fanatical, faceless soldiers marching on for ideology, unaware or uncaring of the atrocities they commit (Stormtroopers)
A resurgence of the old order, brought about by hidden loyalists (the bombing of the movies, spreading of antiDisney points)
A hero falling to become a bitter, dark shell of himself (Hamill emulating Vader, or LUKE emulating Vader).
The falling out of a romance (Padme's heart breaking, Leia and Han's marriage breaking).
A sinister force manipulating everything for their own ends, undone by their hubris. (Disney, Palpatine).
