Thankfully, Chupp can't Chupp up the appeals. There's three lawyers on the panel, so even if one of them is a Chupp, it's unlikely the other two are. Also helps that at least four of the lawyers have overturned Chupp (either a normal appeal or through a writ of mandamus) so there's a good chance at least two of the lawyers will see the trial judge's name and sigh to themselves "Great, what did Chupp do now?"

Also, concerning Quinn, the evidence shown thus far strongly suggests he's an abusive piece of shit. But imagine, if the wife had been Amber Heard'ing him this whole time, and the people mobbed an innocent man into getting fired. Hory sheet, my sides will leave orbit, and will only be topped if Chupp loses his mind and reverses himself sua sponte this week.
Writ of Mandamus?

IANAL.

Writ of mandamus is basically a note issued by a higher authority to the judge saying "you fucked up, now go back and do it right this time"

Sua ponte describes an act of authority taken without formal prompting from another party. basically the judge does shit on his own.

That seems to sustain the theories that Michelle was abusive in the relationship.

She *looks* like the type that would use her pussy as a weapon, and withhold intimacy to gain power in a relationship.

That being said, it is much different than someone being entitled to another person's body, but weaponizing your sexuality to control someone else, especially if you're in a committed Christian relationship with that person... is pretty despicable.

Knowingly putting your SO in a position where they are forced to be an incel or make shitty decisions seems more like entrapment.

I don't condone being unfaithful, it should have been a point where Vic said enough was enough and dumped her ass before he got to the point of hiring hookers. I'm not a fundie christian though, so I don't know how incredibly poor it'd reflect on him to abandon a relationship like that.

All in all, both sides done stupid. Michele simply seems to be a bitter cunt because her power trip didn't castrate Vic.

Sua sponte means unprompted. If Chupp makes a ruling reversing his TCPA decision without any input from Vic, that's sua sponte. If Ty submits a motion to reconsider and then Chupp reverses based on that motion, that's not sua sponte.

A writ of mandamus is basically a stern order from a higher court telling the lower court to correct some mistake. Generally, you hand out writs for a severe error that can't be appealed normally and threatens the ability of a party to get justice. It's basically a bitchslap from the higher court.

Two of the judges in the 2nd Court of Appeals, Gabriel and Sudderth, were on the panel that handed down In Re: Dakota Directional Drilling, and Gabriel in fact wrote it.

This makes me :optimistic:
Also, I learn something new every time I come to this site. It's amazing. lol

This part of the religious side is...complicated. In the eyes of God or realistically, leaving her would be the best resort as religion is not linked to marriage. In other words, you can be single and still believe in God and follow his ideals. God is a merciful being and that's why Jesus was created to be sacrificed. Unfortunately, the church takes these ideas and often goes further with them. It doesn't matter what church as long as it sticks with traditional methods. Because Vic is a male, breaking a marriage would be faulted to him by default for his unfaithfulness. Probably a slap on the wrists and after an act of prayer be forgiven. It's not that big of a deal though but Vic would be blamed for it.

Been a while since I've gone to church so I could be off. I just know they are more accepting of that than they are of gays. That's a whole different can of worms that we'd be going off topic for.

I don't know what flavor of Christian Vic is, but breaking off an engagement isn't sinful in and of itself. Extramarital boinking is, but not an end all be all.

Hindsight's 20/20, but Vic probably should've just ditched and gone back to banging consluts.

Hopefully the Beard chick is a good fit for him. I still stand by position that Vic, at his core, is a lonely guy.

It'd be interesting to know what the circumstances were. Just, morbid curiosity.

But from a relationship counselling perspective, this kind of a breakdown happens when one or both of the persons engaging in the relationship are withholding their commitments to the relationship.

It's why so many relationships that are based on hook-ups fall apart later on, when the lust dies off. Because without a foundation for the relationship, things fall away. If the relationship was built on sex, and one party suddenly revokes that, then it creates a point of frustration.

Then you see it evolve into unfaithfulness. Usually because of a communication breakdown or an impasse. It's exacerbated when the party that suddenly revokes that intimacy is doing so because they found an alternate way of getting that intimacy and their partner doesn't have an outlet, that tends to drive resentment etc.

Admittedly, aside from the fiasco Vic has with the DB cronies, I'm interested to analyze the interpersonal connections to see how all of it broke down.

While I'm curious, I doubt will ever find out; if it was Michelle's fault that the relationship went sour, Vic wouldn't place the blame on her or make excuses for himself. Though something tells me that Vic tried to make the relationship work before it went to cheating.

It's both of their fault, make no mistake. Relationships are a two way street, but I do think she is far less innocent that she's expressing herself as being.

I'm certain based on her scathing e-mail that she's an alpha personality and she was in a power-struggle, absolutely hating that she was always second to Vic. Hence, her continually bringing up how she thought they were "equals" etc.

The only "power" she had over him, because it's very likely he had the finances over her, would be sex. So, my guess is that she would withhold sex as a punishment or a power-play, and berate him etc.

Vic is also an alpha personality, and is likely guilty of not doing enough to make her feel an equal in the relationship, though it's not exactly clear if that's the dynamic they agreed to at the start of things. Vic's convention appearances would have him travelling around the USA and parts of the world, and I"m sure Michele couldn't simply up and leave with him, if she held a steady job. So, it's likely she wasn't feeling her needs were met, found someone on the side, and punished Vic when he was home.

All speculation, but based on her attacking points of her e-mail, this is a very common scenario.

Some things I'm getting while listening in on the Toy Bounty Hunter's stream:

After @EriMin discovered she was in a legal document and was subsequently blocked from contacting anyone involved in AWA she went scorched earth on her own social media, deleting everyone from the con scene, save one person whom Faisel has also screwed over and who also doesn't like Faisel. We only have one side of this, but Faisel seems like a shitty con owner.

Funimation's booth at AWA is about "8 times" larger than the others.

Faisel doesn't like Vic, and Erica thinks it's as petty Vic being Stan's guest.

Erica always had to cap Vic's autograph line, he was that popular.

Also interesting. Erica is speculating Michele Specht could be patient zero. Vic broke up with Specht, and only after they had broken up did she find out that Vic cheated. Once Vic was slated for the director's job and moved to Texas, Michele saw the HanLeia tweet, mentioned some words to Monica Rial, and sat back to watch the fire.

Vic's constantly late unless tard wrangled by a strong handler. He also apparently can't say no, he makes his handlers be the "bad guys".

If that bespectacled, mustachioed, prominently-eyebrowed guy is Stan, he kind of reminds me of Groucho Marx.

And I'll have to wait a bit more I think because the video is acting screwy.

Beyond the whole alpha thing, according to Erica, Vic apparently helped Michele get her apartment after they had broken up.

This TBH stream is very interesting, actually.

Full disclosure, I did not read the long tweet thread of explanation, so if this is exceptional response, then whatever. But from the original tweet, his "rimshot" was on the comment about Vic having botox. I'm neither offended nor amused by that, it's just a "huh, well that happened" kind of comment. But was anyone on the farms commenting or complaining about the botox joke? My understanding is the guy was being called a tard for all the creepy lead-in to the "joke".

It'd be like saying, I snuck into Monica's house and hid in the closet in her bathroom for a few hours until she came home to take a shower. I watched through a crack as she filled the tub with water and stripped down to take a bath. And when she got in the tub, all the water dumped out.
(because she's fat, get it?)

I mean, whether or not you find that joke funny, all that lead up is creepy as hell if I supposedly really actually did that.

His strange story leading up to his punchline was indeed poorly executed. It did seem a bit disjointed if you look at it in its entirety. So, I can understand why some would raise their eyebrows in confusion. He really didn't need to say that much to get his point across. barely knew what he was talking about... but I only saw it as a jab. A very poor one. It was so terrible that he had to go out of his way to explain it to a kiwi. Which is incredibly sad. For people who say they don't really care about us on the Farms... they sure like to put in a lot of time and effort to address us. This individual is truly exceptional.

Do you even hear yourself sometimes? Its not even just the block chain. Vic has suffered the same thing. You wonder why he's barely on twitter at all? Because he can't handle all negativity garner around him. All the insults of being sex pest, predator, and pedo (all of which you yourself have said). Why did you think he wasn't at the TCPA hearing besides he didn't need to be there? Its packed in a room who despise his very existence and wouldn't care if he died right now. Look at lawtwitter. They hate because he's using their profession as a way to "silence" victims or that he's mad they said mean things to him. These people are debating on making billboards showing he's a sexual predator and should be treated as an outcast or shamed for the whole world to see. Also newsflash Vic's been doxxed too.

Because her way of "healing the community" is going into her comfort zone and not actually trying to make peace with anybody. Instead of being a brave woman she's being a coward. She knew from the day she talked about healing she meant without Vic being in it. Vic knows, Nick knows, we know. Have you taken a second to understand Vic's feelings towards this. No of course you haven't.

1. Same thing has happened to Vic and he doesn't use a block chain.
2. The "healing the anime community" bullshit is what Monica called for. So it is more of a KV thing.

This stupid piece of human garbage will never understand the most basic of things...

Speaking of Michele... She definitely seems like a woman that is out for blood. That email was just filled with venom. It does suck that Vic cheated on her, but things are looking like they run a bit deeper. If someone neglects their partner, they are going to be more inclined to seek out affection from others. I can understand as I had been in a really bad relationship in the past. When two people can't mesh, things go south really fast.

Anyone have an inkling of who @EriMin might be talking about that answered the door with the hand towel covering his junk?

EDIT: Also, can anyone think of any narcoleptic VA's for the other story they were talking about?
