General transgender discussion thread - Take the tranny related debates here.

I say that as a woman.

Good for anyone who likes them I guess, but in my entire life every time someone talks about football or whatever it's been men's.
The female teams need to wear sluttier uniforms so people will watch for the sex appeal tbh. It would piss off feminists but it would definitely increase the popularity of women's sports.

Actually, all tranny teams might be good for viewership. They have male strength and many feel validated when people ogle them so they'd have no problem wearing hooker uniforms lol.

Trans people are not anything like people with any intersex conditions. It’s a false equivalency used to a. lump them in with a group who have genuinely been treated appallingly by society and medicine so they can claim victim status and b. An attempt to put being trans in some sort of solid medical footing as a real thing with a biological rather than a psychological basis. (Yes I know psychology has its roots in biology but you know what I mean.) it’s like them riding the coattails of LGB to establish trans as a sexual identity and get all the same protections.

being intersex is NOT halfway between Male and female. It’s not being a bit of both. No human being has EVER been found who produces viable sperm and viable ova. Ever. The disorders themselves vary but the number of babies born where physical phenotypic appearance of sex is at odds with the actual genetics is tiny - it’s about 0.018%. Things like klinefelters are not true intersex disorders in that sense.

The trans lobby is also trying to get relatively minor things like hypospadias and PCOS classed as intersex (so that they can claim that a couple of percent of people are intersex,) and they are not. Intersex disorders are very specific biological errors where we know what’s happened and how it hard affected sexual development. There is no parallel to being trans, it’s not a feeling or an identity, it’s a specific mutation or chemical effect on a developmental pathway.
Intersex disorders say nothing whatsoever about being trans and it is disingenuous for the trans lobby to use intersex people like this.
Both trans and intersex people may want to transition medically once they are old enough to make that decision.

Both trans and intersex people can have penises (it's not the same obviously).

Defining sex only after chromosomes throw both trans and intersex people under the bus. It's technically possible to only throw trans individuals under the bus but thats also bad policy for several reasons.

The trans movement is far more powerful than the movement for intersex rights, intersex individuals may actually end up benefitting from the trans movement more than the other way around.

Trans individuals have also been threated poorly by medical professionals and this goes on today in the form of questionable HRT regimes.

You are not cis if you persue medical transition.
You'd be cisgender but transsexual I guess, although transsexual is probably a misnomer since you can't completely change your sex. There are men who insist they are male and still get breast implants and stuff though. See: sissy fetishists who want to take their fetish larping to the next level by modifying their bodies and many third world ladyboys.

Women's sports don't get much air time, unfortunately. And very few even go to watch the games. I watch a local college women's team sometimes and the arena is practically empty while the men's games are packed. So women's teams already get a raw deal. Adding troons to it seems downright cruel when you know they don't get the recognition or budget or press that the men's teams get.

I remember once like 10 years ago flipping through channels and finding a poker tournament on ESPN and a WNBA playoff game on ESPN 2, to give some perspective on how popular women's sports often are, and the WNBA is probably the most popular American women's pro league

Ironically, having trannies on their team might be good to get recognition and higher budgets. The media loves writing about troons and people who fund troons automatically get social justice good boy points.

Yes it hurts trans and intersex people’s feelings, but basing sex on chromosomes is only scientifically correct. You can’t really argue against scientific fact. Once the trans community provides any scientific evidence whatsoever behind their community, maybe you guys will have a better foothold to talk about defining gender and sex. Blatantly ignoring science in favor of pushing your ideology is just plain idiotic.

To be fair, if it was on ESPN it was probably the WSOP Main Event.

a Baby born with an intersex condition will get only the treatment it needs to ensure it’s survival and health. So for example if the urinary system isn’t functional that will be sorted. There’s no ‘weeel, kinda looks like a girl, chop that bit off and mark F.’ Several conditions cause quite severe abnormalities that can be fatal if not surgically corrected but medics aren’t picking a sex. registration of sex (not assigned, observed) can be delayed if needed until genetic investigation is carried out. Otherwise kids are left alone to develop.

intersex people are going to be damaged by the inevitable backlash because people are going to lump them in with trans. Trans activists are using the intersex community for their own ends.
Sex for the average human is determined by chromosomes. A tiny number of people have chromosome abnormalities so actually sex is defined by being of the class that produces small mobile gametes (sperm) or large immobile gametes (ova.) again that says nothing about trans people. Men who have fathered kids dont magically become mothers. The analogies drawn with intersex people are all false. Intersex people aren’t claiming they can change sex, they’re saying they have developmental abnormalities in sexual characteristics

I don’t think trans people are badly treated by the medical community at all. The opposite in fact. They are the ONLY group that’s threatened and bullied their way to creating an entire set of treatment guidelines based on what they want rather than clinical evidence.
It’s an adults right to do what they want with their body, but it’s grossly unethical for a medic to be prescribing blockers, hormones or SRS to people, especially minors. The collusion of the medical community here is something I find really disturbing and it’s going to be interesting to watch the backlash, lawsuits and prosecutions once this madness ends. Or maybe from the gulag where they put all the nonbelievers. Who knows

There has been a lot of unesserary cosmetic intersex surgeries going on.

There was a swedish documentary about FtM transitioning where they mentioned ROGD. Anyway i dont think there will be any major backlash, instead it will probabpy become normalized even more similar to homosexuality.

Where do you get that from?

This is a pretty interesting watch. Tavistock transing natal females - females that typically had "trauma" and "homophobic experiences". I.E sexual abuse victims and female lesbians.

I always find it fascinating how female lesbians are discouraged, but male transbians? FULLY embraced.

:optimistic:If the public ever wakes up from the trans craze:optimistic:, it'll be interesting seeing the repercussions for all these medical transition treatments. Like those mesothelioma or pelvic mesh ads, except for SRS or puberty blocking drugs like Lupron.
It will. It may not be soon, it may be half a century away, but people will be experiencing complications after years and years of taking hormones, making unnecessary body modifications, having surgeons make internal balloon animals out of penises or sew flesh sausages onto their vaginas... believe me, people are in for a rude awakening at some point in their lives, if they don’t kill themselves. And the lawsuits will be big I bet. And it’ll just be another chapter in the history books of the lunacy of the early-mid internet age.

I hope. :optimistic:

If this doesn’t happen at some point then the earth either was struck by a meteor, or we’ve sunken into an even more insane level of depravity as a society. (:_(

‘Front row seats to a medical scandal.’
No fucking shit, Sherlock.

They all claimed they were under such immense pressure they could not properly assess patients, in what they fear may be a 'medical scandal'.
One of them has admitted that looking back, they may not have given hormone-warping drugs to all of the children they diagnosed with gender dysphoria.’

Three year olds. Anyone who’s ever spent more than five minutes with kids will know that at that age they have no real concept of gender. They’re imaginative, often insist they’re in fact a T. rex for a week. Or a rabbit.
If you’re a medic seeing a child who is experiencing distress at their sexed body you know what the first thing you should think is? It’s ‘is this child being abused?’ Not ‘hey little timmy likes his sisters doll so he’s a girl, break out the Lupron.’

My coworker and I were talking about this stuff and he was saying how years ago when he was like 8 and his parents had guests over he decided as a gag to get some attention and laughs he put on one of his sisters' dresses and ran downstairs and started mincing around. The guests laughed their asses off and his parents (especially his Mom) were not thrilled. But... nothing fucking happened in the long-term because they just saw it as a kid being silly, even if they were embarrassed by it.

Fast forward to today and what are the odds that amongst certain parents and families their young kid doing something similar is an instant trip to some child psychologist with a degree in gender studies that affirms, yes, your rambunctious attention-seeking boy that likes making people laugh was actually revealing he's a trans-girl! Next stop it's hormones and puberty blockers that people with cancer are also using but don't think about it too much. Imagine all the attention trooning out your kid will get you!
