Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

So it looks like the early movie screenings just finished up.

And people are rightfully upset. Not due to the lack of competent writing, professional integrity, or common decency to the trilogy's legacy...okay well some of that's sprinkled in here and there, but it's mostly because they killed Kylo off.
I'll be editing and adding more as I find them.
...I'm sorry, they K-worded someone. Apparently kill's a slur now. Also people are using autistic k-pop stanning to mess with the algorithms and make the hashtag trend.
k-word?! k-word?!?!?!?!?! bwahahahaha

I post this without comment:

It's fucking pointless anyway. Kylo is dumped in a hole and Rey dies. Kylo revives her, then he dies.
You could cut that out and replace it with: Kylo falls into the pit and dies, Rey barely survives.

But we needed the sappy "Rey is revived by the power of LOOOOVE" bullshit.

I think what the idea is: Kylo achieves what Anakin could not. He saved, someone he loved, from death.

But, since it's probably poorly executed, it comes off as an afterthought. Not to mention, there isn't much of a relationship between Kylo and Rey. Well a relationship that would feel organic or romantic in any meaningful way...

Aaaaaaand the full idiocy of the "Chewie winds up getting nothing but a fucking medal after losing literally everyone he ever loved or cared about" plot point just hit me

Jesus christ.....and the worst thing is that i guarantee whatever fucktard wrote that part was probably feeling ultra smug about how clever he was for referencing chewie not getting a medal in ANH

The cry of how it's the audience's fault, and not the studio execs or writers' or directors' or anyone else's fault continues.
You're just supposed to uncritically ingest the slop, morons!

All of the bootlickers in the media class defending The Product, The Brand and the Holy Prophet Profit, (and all of the nerds and goons who do it for free) be it cape movies, Star Wars, the latest "empowering" go-girl nonsense make me think of that confessional booth scene in a certain filmmaker's early dystopian movie.

Seriously, from the filmmakers perspective killing off Kylo is just a pointlessly dumb move.

doesn't really matter. the way nuwars is handled you can bet your ass luke suddenly has a lost daughter somewhere or han banged some other chick and left him/her too just like kylo because once a deadbeat dad always a deadbeat dad. and of course han's offspring will be a skywalker too (don't think about it).
and that's if they don't make that kiss force-impregnate rey. can't have sex or even attraction in a kids movie!

Nah, get the guy who did the Ghostbusters remake to do the entire trilogy. That way, the series will be crashed, with no survivors.
feig doesn't suck royally when he makes nonsensical women movies with 90% improv (I actually laughed watching some of them). so if that's what they're aiming for...
tbh at this point I would take melissa mccarthy as a fat jedi defeating the first order with slapstick and swear words over epIX

I just remembered something, is Ackbar's awful penis shaped son even remotely relevant in this? Do they even bother acknowledge Ackbar's death in any meaningful context? I ask these things despite that I already know the answers, but its just so disgusting to realize how shallow and superficial Disney Wars is.

Reminder that according to Disney canon, Ackbar was a shit father and his son looks like a mon calamari combined with a foreskin.

You know, at this point, Im so bitter and cynical about this that I asked this.

We want good movies and our great franchises but

Do we actually deserve them?

What I mean is, does "current year" society deserves good movies at this point? I say we reap what we sow. Our society doesnt really want good movies because you cant bitch about good movies, it doesnt FEED into the holy tier narrative. We dont stand by good values such as family, morality, religion and etc. We stand by degenerate freedom, extreme freedom with no restrain to the point no one knows what to do with so much freedom anymore but want to do shit like legalize pedophilia. Movies and entertainment NEED a good base for them to be built on. For example, George Lucas made both star wars trilogies that spoke about current times and exploring sort of a gray area with them (especially the prequels), he grew up in a post war (and even current vietnam war) america so he gave a story american society wanted, needed and deserved it. He wasnt preachy, of course, he still told a story first.

Today however? I say its the case we have TOO much freedom and peace. We need to artificially create new boogeymen to be scared of. We lack cause, meaning. And because of that, so does our movie and entertainment...they feel like they NEED a cause and current world significance when the story should always come first. Marvel just made a tranny kid super hero...was that because someone had a genius plot with a main character that just happens to be a tranny? No...its obviously another political move the masses will praise for being soo "current year".

So I ask you, my friends, do we deserve good movies at this point? Now yes, we did have some diamonds in the rough, like Joker...a movie that actually tells a story that just happens to reflect well on today's political climate in a mostly unbiased fashion. But we got so much shit to the point that I doubt Joker really compensates for it. I hope Joker brings forward more movies of its kind but the cynical within me doubts about it. I hate "current year" ... to the point I much rather we suffer much more for our "sins", I want it to be punished. When I say ''we", I obviously do not refer to people like us, those who actually bother to look beyond the edge of the picture society forces upon our eyes, insisting thats reality, I refer to the masses that allowed it to get this bad. As the joker says "you get what you fucking deserve" and I agree with that sentiment.
Now I want to be proven wrong so keep that in mind before you judge me. Its just something Im pondering at this point...

"Do we, the current year, deserve good movies?"

Update on the FinnRey shipper's "suicide attempt", hot and fresh from the shipping thread. She lightly bit her hand after claiming cutting herself was too hard.

Man the movie hasn't even been officially released and we've already got tumblrinas suicide baiting and biting themselves and shit :story:

God it's like the ADF suicide attempt all over again where all he got were bloody welts after scratching his fat belly really hard.

Actually...holy fuck I just remembered: ADF IDOLIZES KYLO REN. To the point of getting that stupid nose bridge tattoo to emulate the dumb mask. Sadly, given Philthy basically is literally just a sack of potatoes that does nothing but virtue signal on twitter these days, nothing will come of it, but damn this is going to eat him up inside to see Kylo get absolutely jobbed.

Aaaaaaand the full idiocy of the "Chewie winds up getting nothing but a fucking medal after losing literally everyone he ever loved or cared about" plot point just hit me

And then Han's ghost steals the medal and sells it for beer money.

If this was something they painstakingly added in reshoots then I wonder whether KK was autistically insistent on Kylo dying and Rey taking over as "uncontested hero and real true face of the franchise" and JJ was only allowed to turn his embarrassing death into some cringy and contrived melodrama in a desperate attempt to temper the shipper rage that was going to be thrown against him.

Seriously, from the filmmakers perspective killing off Kylo is just a pointlessly dumb move. You automatically drive the shipper untermensch into an enraged frenzy against you, you sever the last skywalker legacy and thus alienate any remaining fan who while not giving a shit about Kylo might hope for a movie set a hundred years in the future with some shit like Nu-Cade Skywalker so the franchise might yet survive and have a second chance, the normies dont get shit out of it, and hell none of the franchise haters will be won over by this.

Either that or this is just the most facepalm worthy "follow the original beat for beat" schtick and he is trying to have a nu-Vader sacrifice

Nahh, I don't think it's as much propping up Rey as it is cutting off any more Skywalker tales.

Rey is done. Any future signifigant stories are most likely gonna be big time jumps in either direction. The ST characters didn't catch on(they know this), so it's gonna be a clean slate I think..

They wanted to completely cut off the possibility of Skywalker episodes. I don't disagree with this. Though, I think you could have done it gracefully. Instead of chopping off the limb with a rusty swiss army knife...

Probably JJ being smug that he looked at myths and saw that people who kill a parent usually die.

What kind of stupid question is that? Of fucking course we deserve better. That's why we're getting it.
There's like a bunch of quality movies that came out this year.

Everything else we will feed to @bearycool and mock as is protocol.

Just a cynical question I thought of asking, and Im not saying we as us right here, im saying the indocrinated masses. But go ahead and ignore it, maybe it was stupid.
