Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Why does this whole thing feel like the 2016 general election all over again
People (mainly woke media and twitter) turned new Star Wars into an us vs them thing, them being (Nazi alt-right bigots). If you didn’t like new Star Wars you’re a racist and misogynist regardless if you have valid criticism of the films and directors. There are really good takedowns of the films that are unbiased and have a ton of views but are mysteriously not mentioned by those needing clicks and pushing the toxic fandom narrative.

We’re constantly going around and around in a circle arguing because we are massively divided due to social justice idiots.

Edit: The only one I saw in theater was TFA and I didn’t like it much. When all the drama started coming out after and with TLJ I noped out of watching anymore Star Wars movies or whatever. I won’t see this either, maybe when it’s on Disney+ and I’m bored but I read the spoilers and it’s so bad.

What's clear to me is that Rise of Skywalker is going to be a once-in-a-generation or even once-in-a-lifetime trainwreck

We can add Rise of Skywalker to the list of movies that was catastrophic to the movie industry next to Heaven's Gate and Waterworld.

Honestly those 2 movies are light years better than TRoS and Michael Cimino and Kevin Costner can at least write and tell good stories far beyound JarJar and Roundhead. It's the $$$ that will cause heads to roll and I am gleefully polishing up the axe blade.

Soon you'll start hearing stuff like this:
"Rise of the Skywalker finally rips off the facade that we've been doing our best to hold up for decades: Star Wars was never really that good and always a silly story about space wizards fighting with laser swords."

It always was, though. The only really good one was Empire. The first was pretty good and Jedi came it and sort of okay. Then the next three were pure trash. So out of the six first movies only two were even better than merely okay.

I know that Rogue One gets a lot of shit ... And I'll be the first to say that there's SO much about it that should have been changed.

I'll also be the first one to say that this Vader scene could easily be seen as "pandering to the fans." At least ONE of the directors for Disney Star Wars had the fans in mind, though. This scene is still fucking rad. Too bad Disney decided to change most of Gareth Edwards' movie.
Why didn't Vader just forcepull the guy with the plans back to him before he got away? It really took him a long time to dispatch all those people in his way with a lightsaber when there was probably a more expedient way to go about his mission.

I dont usually like to nitpick movie scenes but its just funny to think that all the events of the first movie could have been avoided entirely had Vader just stopped fucking around and got a move on.

Anyone know how to archive these and put them on the Farms? I am sure Disney will get around to trying to take em all down, but the letter they write nool will be fun and by the time we get rid of em it won't even matter.

then upload it to mega or something

To be fair, Star Wars is mostly terrible(like Star Trek). It has the potential for greatness when the stars align.

But, as a whole, it's mostly garbage...

I mooched off a family member's Disney+ account and finally watched The Mandalorian (half-way through the available episodes,) and...

Ugh. I love it. It isn't perfect, but I love it. It's exactly the kind of thing I've wanted to see out of Star Wars since years before the buyout. It's like Filoni reached into my brain and extrated everything he needed to write perfectly targeted fanservice. It's getting my hopes up and I hate it. I can't wait for the new movie to temper my expectations back to realistic levels.
Has it been brought up that this and Fallen Order (which I should note really needed a few more months of QA and clearly got late-development gameplay changes after the devs got around to playing Sekiro) released now explicitly because they needed IP that didn’t blow ass in people’s minds before this turd came out?

Having Ian McDiarmid regurgitate dialogue from the Prequels ...

I can't! I fucking can't! LOL.

This would have worked if it was revealed Palpatine was working behind the curtain at the end of Force Awakens, and then in The Last Jedi he unleashes all those Star Destroyers, and then this movie is about putting the old coot back in the ground.

Of course there is still a shit ton wrong with this entire premise to begin with, but it would at least have some redeeming features and more importantly actually be coherent.

I'm just gonna leave this here.

Actually, I'm gonna go one step forward and place his original image here:

If you sperg about how SONIC'S ARMS ARE NOT BLUE, you're autistic. If you sperg for 1050 pages about how DISNEY WARS ARE NOT STAR WARS, you are an educated scholar of contemporary pop-culture.
