KK probably told Ruin to make her frumpy in TLJ to make sure her self-insert, bland, parent group approved Mary Sue wouldn't get mogged by a side character with bigger tits.

There was supposedly going to be a scene where they had to get dressed up and Finn discovers she isn't frumpy, but it got cut for time. If so, JJ might have left her looking like a granny as another middle-finger to Johnson.

Anakin is so bewildered by the nightmare that he eventually just makes up that his wife dies in childbirth to explain away his emotional state.

Jon and Lawrence Kasdan. Jon says Lando Landonis was "meant to be pansexual" and "you can clearly see fluidity within Landonis and Billy Dee" while Kasdan Sr. said Landonis's behavior towards Han could be considered "flirty". The DisneyEU goes a little further into this from what I understand and it is a fact that he's fucking that pile of metal shrapnel he calls L337 and found all the guests at an alien party both female, male and eldritch to be attractive. L337 is also an awful current year replacement to a droid sidekick Lando used to have in old lore who was not his lover. Disney-Lucasfilm even retold one of their old stories but with L337 replacing it.

This is something that had been mentioned a lot during TFA and even more so during TLJ to the point where it was put in TFA merchandise and the TLJ dictionary. Showing that none of this shit was planned and that Hidalgo's guides mean jack shit to the Story Group. There is no communication going on at Lucasfilm. The Attendants shit and JJ's revelations for IX also throw a huge wrench into a lot of Disney canon, including Wendig's crap and EA-Battlefront II's shitty Operation Cinder storyline, and quite possibly the nu-Thrawn novels too.

In the OT it's literally designed to look like every other fucking YT-1300 light freighter, which is one of the most common craft in the entire galaxy. The Falcon's in a whole other tier though, being armed to the teeth, much better armored, and with massively overclocked engines. It looks like shit because the best way to stay off the Empire's scopes is to give them nothing to suspect to begin with.
