If I'm not mistaken, the Monica "force kiss" story wasn't in Tammy Denbow's affidavit.

With Funimation, unions aren't the issue here- their dubs of the Black Lagoon OVA, Bayonetta: Bloody Fate and Afro Samurai were unionized, though the first one only by default as nearly everything done in Canada is unionized through ACTRA, and several of their other dubs manage to have actors who worked on unionized stuff, i.e. their dubs of the Code Geass and Eureka Seven movies or on the Dragon Ball franchise.

The real issue would be the cost of getting someone that high profile as Cree is to do it. It's why they don't try getting more LA or Vancouver actors outside of the ones they know or have worked with regularly.

I want to disbelieve this because this is Ron Toye. The man has absolutely no self awareness. He would declare a blood feud that would last generations against Vic. Anything positive about Vic would have to be torn down and destroyed with cries of "MY FIANCEE!"

Unless he has done some introspection, some realization that the damage to the anime community was his fault. That this whole thing spiraled out of his control and the collateral damage is large.

It sounds like damage control so Vic won't put his ass millions in debt.

Except Ron is the one putting himself into debt by not settling. This is all self inflicted wounds. He could easily stop the driving force behind a this.

He did legitimize Manjaw so it's too late to stop that mess.

The point being, Ron is the problem and refuses to admit it.
