It's low hanging fruit. What they
really want to ban is male sexuality, at least male heterosexuality, or at least be given some form of editorial control over it. But they can't get away with it yet.

So then, what's next? Lets say... figurines. They're a little creepy, maybe vendors shouldn't be bringing in X rated ones. Ok, well, this one's only R rated, but it probably shouldn't be around either since it's kinda offensive. Well, ok, we obviously can't ban the official merch, but these 3rd party ones and generic anime girl ones can make some people uncomfortable, so ban them, I guess. Figurines? Ban them, I guess. Then artists, posters, wallscrolls, etc. It "encourages the male gaze." "It's demeaning to women." "It objectifies the female characters." Yadda yadda. It's always the same talking points, over and over again. They come in at any low hanging fruit they can, because to
force people to change to be a little closer to the activist's politics is the real goal and their socio-political fetish. They get off on making you a "better person." They get off on "fixing your hobbies." They're not going to stop, because to them it's a literal dopamine addiction -- stopping brings withdrawals. And besides "they're on the right side of history."
They've laid out the playbook fairly effectively. You can see this shit in various stages of completion in the hobbies they're infesting -- Vidya, for example, with demands that sexy female characters or male-only main character games be de facto forbidden by just
losing their shit over any creator that doesn't agree or obey. Comics has them purging every sexy woman from the big 2 and others they get their hooks in, replacing them with female tropes they
think men should enjoy instead. Tabletop has them constantly trying to push changes to 30+ years of Warhammer lore to make it more "inclusive."
It's always the same. Change. Change something to appease us. Just one thing. Please. We'll stop calling you names and trying to destroy you if you just change one widdle thing! Promise! But it's never just one thing, and the second you capitulate you find yourself swarmed with twice as many because you just informed them that their pressure worked and all you did was make everything more comfortable for the people demanding the changes in the first place.
One of their biggest fuckups is they always think they have more control and support than they really do, because SJWs don't human very well and mistake the silence of the majority for the majority agreeing with them. So expect them to spring this shit on the cons before they have complete control.
