Tim Pool - 'journalist' who claims to be a sensible centrist & sucks Sargon of Akkad's wiener; Afraid of the Milkshake ANTIFAs

Should I try to get Tim Pool to do some actual basic journalism? I mean something legit and possibly interesting, not a trolling campaign.

My idea is to get him to report on this:

The point would be to see if he could find more information, and ramble about it on a video, like he has with this sort of thing before.

That's an attainable goal for a journalist, right?

Edit: does anyone know how to "mention" someone on Minds?

Edit: okay, I made a post: https://www.minds.com/newsfeed/1051593447562735616?referrer=vecr

It's not very good though.

Matt seems to be enjoying Tim Pool apparently blocking a critic despite the fact that Matt blocked Lauren Chen for winning the fight that Matt picked with her like a week ago:

Cross posting this since it’s pretty relevant for this thread. Some sped is wailing Tim is spreading Fake News knowingly to help White Nationalists
The first thing I noticed is that he’s claiming Tim had to have known this was fake news. However, Tim made this video on Dec 23rd and all the pieces denouncing Tim’s reference as false didn’t happen until days after the upload.
But I guess trying to frame Tim Pool as duplicitous in the White agenda is more important than being honest

If you can claim Tim Pool supports any ethnic agenda, it's the mixed race Asian one, haha.

I don't think Tim Pool's content is the height of journalism, but this sure is overblown.

Owen keeps getting banned every other lolcow statement.

Love the fact that Sam Tripoli recently shit on Owen for his alleged content "stealing" aka "staff writers" two weeks later in regards to both their podcasts. Not sure what the magician context was in regards to Owen but I can only assume.

Alright, Tim is in big trouble so he has to try something fresh to avoid YouTube cracking down on him.

Something like starting a livestream of an admittedly interesting-looking indie game and then just spending fifteen minutes randomly talking about the direction of his channel and how he's dealing with all this stuff on YouTube and just flatly ignoring the chat as they tell him "Play the fucking game, Tim". This is a train wreck. The worst part is that he will randomly click to advance the dialogue on the screen without stopping to read it aloud and sometimes it just skips like a few screens ahead (might be a glitch because it's an indie game or it might be Tim double-tapping shit, but either way the actual storyline is being skipped while he rants about nothing).

27:40 to listen to him suck his own dick as usual.

He made a thread about this a few days back on this twitter:

Beanie Man said:
Youtube has literally killed news on the platform Its a slow bleed though. Censorship, suppression, demonetization all force news companies to give up on reporting unless you're allowed special treatment like mainstream media

I'm going to be moving all my content to my main channel and launching a new show in the coming weeks to deal with the problems of Youtube

This means the new show will be mostly apolitical and if you want the news content you must manually check because Youtube shadowbans now

New show will deal with science and topical issues just not hard news. Will likely be lightly political discussing policy but mostly cultural politics, gaming, science etc.

the goal is to create a sustainable youtube friendly show for two reasons

For one i really want to
Two it will allow me to keep running my business and support the news

The current path leads to complete content collapse

The generalist podcast/show will be live and allow for growth while supporting the content youtube is likely to suppress so that it never completely dies

What people don't realize about Youtube is that they use tactics to suppress certain kinds of content.

Its not about chasing after views its the opposite, its about running away from youtube's ban hammer

I sometimes talk about UFOs and other weird nonsense. I talk about what I want to talk about.

These videos dont get a ton of views but it doesnt matter to me, I want to talk about it.

Youtube actively suppresses certain hard news and political topics.

We can see how they deal with journalists like @FordFischer and @Jake_Hanrahan

Its not about making content to GET views, its about making what I can make that youtube wont ban outright

Overtime it starts to become clear that the kind of content that doesnt get shadow banned so I have no choice but to put political banter on my main channel and all sorts of other content on my second.

This system cannot continue

Youtube will eventually just ban all politics

Because my content breaks no rules they just shadow ban certain topics

So to reiterate

New show, general content, science, topical, cultural politics
This will support news content which will continue on

About this video:

The fact that Andrew Breitbart used to be a liberal before be became a conservative was widely known. In fact, Wired referenced it in a write up they published following his death:

In 1991, Breitbart was a bored twentysomething from Brentwood, a ritzy entertainment-industry enclave in west LA. A hyperactive news junkie, he read several newspapers and watched several newscasts a day. A low-level movie production job had left him disgusted by what he saw as Hollywood's culture of limousine liberalism. He was miserable. "Kurt Cobain without the record deal," he says. "Just give me the gun."

While waiting tables at a Venice bar and grill, he got to know one of the regulars, veteran TV actor Orson Bean. Bean had a wild reputation in Hollywood. He had written a book extolling the spiritual power of orgasm and, even more shocking, was a die-hard Nixon man. Breitbart admired him as an unpredictable rebel, a raconteur, an independent thinker — the kind of guy Breitbart wanted to be. He started dating Bean's daughter Susie and eventually married her. Bean served as Breitbart's first mentor, encouraging him to cut against what both men saw as LA's leftie grain.

Breitbart found his second mentor on a lark. He had become a fan of Matt Drudge's online newsletter, a weird, irresistible mix of right-wing politics, conspiracy theories, extreme weather, and pop culture. In 1995, Breitbart emailed Drudge to see if he could help out. Pretty soon, his bylines were appearing on the report alongside Drudge's. Breitbart had found his niche.

Also, Boing Boing's Xeni Jardin has always disliked Assange, that's nothing new either. Here are some tweets from 2010 - 2011 you can go through:

Amongst other tweets, she wrote at the time:

Manning's getting life or worse. Assange? Groupies and a book deal. Mark my words.

Leaving aside case itself, Assange matter becomes litmus test for how ppl I follow here think of rape, & women. Much of that: a real bummer.

BB commenter: "Christ, what an Assange."

It was already clear back then she didn't like Assange much. This negative view Assange continued over the years:

Some more examples:
Has Assange taken credit for #OWS yet? (This was meant to be biting irony because Assange had tried to take credit for helping to spark the Arab Spring.)

Also: it is possible to be very concerned about some of Assange/Wikileaks' actions *and* be gravely concerned about the US govt's response.

Odd to see DSK & Assange with something in common: assault charges, + Internet commenters & allies reflexively chanting, "Bitch set him up."

(Note: DSK in this tweet is a reference to Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the then recently disgraced French politician and IMF director.)

Is that against TOS? (Essentially false advertising, since he didnt play the game properly like you described, and used it as a front to talk about other stuff?)

For a guy who asks for support in every single video, talks about how important that support it, it's pretty funny he will ignore what the audience wants and is telling him to do. Why not make a different update video and do the stream about what you implied it would be about? Does he feel that he needs to trick or force people into listening about that kind of thing? Silliness, silliness

ETA I scrolled through the chat and didnt see a whole lot of complaints, but I wont edit my comment to erase my assumptions/stupidity cause that seems snakey. I still think it is stupid to stream a game without properly addressing the game your playing. I dont see that as fair use, maybe it is legally, but your using it as a prop to take room on the screen, not to genuinely comment or engage with it.

tim is hinting that he gets major pressure from youtube right now.

The sky is always falling on tim, give him shekels and share his videos asap

Is Tim not a Democrat anymore??? He used to remind you that he was a Mixed Race Democrat every fucking time back when I used to watch him but catching up on his recent videos, he does nothing but scold them for their stupid decisions now.

If so, that's pretty funny even a Vote-Blue-No-Matter-Who like Tim turned his back on these people.
He finally jumped off the Bernie train and Tulsi won't return his calls so he's 'politically homeless'

TL;DR Im pretty sure Tim Pool stole his brothers business, Subverse, and his brother is trying to sue him now.

So Ive known for a while that Tim Pool's brother is a youtuber called Reactor. Well recently Reactor posted this Gofundme to his twitter, asking for help paying for a lawsuit but he didnt name the people he was trying to sue. When I read it I noticed it sounded a lot like he was planning on suing Tim Pool, his brother. Back in 2019 Tim made this video saying his brother started Subverse and that Tim joined him later on. then we have this PDF from Tims crowd investor page that shows his brother isnt there and a new guy has taken his place. Let me know if you guys agree that Im on to something.

Yeah, seems you are right. What he writes on the gofundme fits perfectly with your other evidence. So the only other explanation would be that he had another brand that he also let someone he knew take over, which seems very unlikely.

So I guess Tim jumped on his brother's pretty much dead brand because it was already established, website and all. Then he promoted it which made this Minds-guy interested in investing in it. So Tim now feels this is his big chance, and that it's because of all his work anyway, so he fucks over his brother and just takes the brand.

I can’t believe I didn’t think to check if Tim had a thread here.

While I generally like hearing what he has to say, the past few days he’s shown a lack of self awareness that I didn’t expect. His whole “we don’t need more restrictions of firearms, we need a registry!” opinion ignores the argument that it’s far easier to confiscate when there’s a registry, while at the same time saying that freedoms are being restricted incrementally. No shit, beanie boy.

He says that he’s okay with people blocking streets because “muh civil disobedience!” while he works at home, yelling at a camera about shit he reads on the internet. Of course it doesn’t affect him.

The video he did on the professor who sued because a school fired him for “misgendering” someone was pinging my hypocrisy meter off the chart, though. He said conservatives need to “grow a spine” and quit self censoring; maybe he can use a few naughty words and say the whistleblower’s (alleged) name in a video, then come back to that topic. He then says that you can just quit your job if you don’t like what’s going on there, which is quite rich coming from someone in his 30’s who’s single and doesn’t have a family to support. On that topic, he talks shit about single men like he’s some kind of alpha male, but again, single and no kids at 30.

Maybe I’m just MOTI, but he strikes me as the kind of guy who’d be cool with working at the Ministry of Truth.

Wasn't he looking to take legal action against the subverse game a few months ago? Very hypocritical if he stole the business in the first place
