I think that the Mueller report was completely unfiltered, steaming dogshit and everyone involved in pushing it forwards and punishing all of these people on the back of the mountain of lies that Mueller and the FISA warrants put into place deserve to eat Prison Loaf for the next five to ten years. They knew that every single word of it was a lie, they knew that Michael Flynn did nothing wrong because they falsified evidence against him, and if they want to scream bloody murder about how unfairly they're being treated now, I don't want to fucking hear it after all the shit they've made everyone wade through for the last four years.

They tried to stage a coup, they tried to throw innocent people in jail, and they twisted or broke every rule in the book to make it happen, all while knowing that it was just vindictive, made-up bullshit. If Barr wants to drop the hammer, the only thing I ask is for enough time to make popcorn.

My personal theory is that these four prosecutors left out the fact that in their briefing to the DOJ, they recommended a different sentence than what they tried to hit Roger Stone with. 7-9 years for lying to the FBI is utterly fucking psychotic. In other words, they lied to their superiours about what they were going to recommend, and when they turned their backs they tried to slam Stone with every book on the shelf, rather than the lighter sentence they'd said they were going to use.

Whether or not I'm right, I have no idea, but it's really fucking weird to see all four of them hit the deck so hard that they made dents in the floor. They didn't even attempt to rationalize the sentence they handed down, they just dove over the fucking side of the ship and one of them flat-out quit his job entirely.

NeoConservatives were never conservatives so their defection makes but the likes of National Review have made it clear what their priorities are.
They don't see their job as preventing the country from going to hell in a handbasket.
They see their job as making sure the country goes to hell in in a handbasket in an orderly and civilized manner.
Not fiddling while Rome burns but managing the fire so it consumes one block of the city at a time.
It's just a good thing they've been stripped of all their power and influence.
