On the note of the Street Fighter anime, Bob has said that the unedited version with the shower scene was a holy grail for him in high school. Which is sad since I'm about the same age and even in my weeby high school days we cared more about the fight scenes in said film

Bob made an appearance on Daily Wire, getting mocked.

Blob Simpman does not produce, he only consooms.

Second, no one has this weird bias against the left and the "drama school dorks". Stop looking at everything through this high school lenses... and not even real high school, 80's John Hughes high school, where people resented smart people just because they were.
I'm a Brit and just assumed US high schools worked like in the movies. Why does Bob have such a hatred for jocks if they aren't real?

While I'm sure that he would be more than willing, how much can she expect to get out of him, really?
Depends how much she knows. She might expect weeb-bux, but Bob has been talking about being broke recently.

Is it just me, or is Bob starting to suck Chinese cock too much as of late? He's retweeting Naomi Wu all the time, and now he made an entire video about some random Chinese movie no one will ever give a shit about. I also remember him constantly praise China for all the advancements in the name of the superior future.
It might be either my confirmation bias, or Bob thinking of getting himself a new audience.
It's possible, but I think it's more likely he's thirsty for Wu's attention and hopes that maybe she'll retweet one of his videos, or he's just idolizing China and making videos about it.

7.DOA: Dead or Alive
( A silly but fun movie + Eric Roberts)
I'm surprised Super Mario Bros and The Wizard aren't number 1, but the inclusion of Dead or Alive is as surprising as it is hypocritical.

It's obvious Robert put it on the list because of his yellow fever (he says it keeps the "visual appeal"), but one of the few times Bob genuinely made me angry was when him and Jim Sterling (along with others) led the charge to get Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 banned in the west because of that "visual appeal".

I don't know if Bob owns a PS4, I think he was selling one as part of his junk sale, but I won't be surprised if we learn he has the game imported from Japan, because that would be the cherry on top of this hypocrisy sundae.

My guess is that he was picked on by someone who played some sport, took refuge in movies, and just saw that as reality "yes, all jocks are evil and bully the smart kids because they are stupid". Would explain his massive ego, as I'm sure even the kids that think dodgeball is a sport made fun of Bob, so he must be extra smart if everyone is against him.

Any assumption I could make about Robert's life growing up would be based on reading heavily between the lines of his book, but he comes across as someone who was a complete sperg dweeb, kind of an asshole, and someone who felt like he deserved to be considered cool.

I can easily believe that there were times when Robert got mocked and you might even say bullied by the cool kids, but considering his personality I don't think he was blameless in this. I'm willing to bet that Robert would butt in on people's conversations and try to hijack them to make them all about him and what he liked. A lot of socially awkward teenagers have this problem, but in Robert's case he also doesn't know when to shut up, has a massive ego, and handles rejection very badly. A lot of the "bullying" he received was probably kids just trying to make him go away and leave them the fuck alone so they could talk to their actual friends.

And we know from his book that Robert was alone a lot in his teenage years. He was probably the kind of guy even other nerds avoided because every conversation always had to be him showing off, talking about Mario trivia or whatever else and not really listening to anything they had to say or caring. His loneliness combined with his worldview shaped far more by pop culture where jocks were usually depicted as evil bullies than real life experience, and his jealousy of them for being popular when he deserved it so much more than them dammit, was probably the potent combination that made him how he is today. He started assuming those cool kids were stupid and evil just like in the movies and their rejection of him was horrible cruel suffering the likes of which homeless people and third worlders could barely hope to comprehend. He then proceeded to nurse this grudge forever.

TL;DR: It's envy.

This was the first reply I saw and I legit lol'd.

You know I hate to be a sperg and go offtopic but I just realised while rewatching Joker that the scene where Arthur watches murray make fun of his standup act fits perfectly with bobs muted horror and seething tardrage when he became the laughing stock of breadtube tier twitter leftists a few pages back...

3.Ace Attorney.
(the director is awesome, and this movie is awesome too.)

If MovieBob's such a Miike fan, I'd really like to know his opinions on Visitor Q. See how long his opinion that "the director is awesome" lasts.

It's a good movie, but it has a lot of very "problematic" elements played for humor. I can't imagine he'd be able to get through it.

Ah back when the Stepfather could pass as normalish
As I remember Jim was a massive coward about it and bob was a cunt, I wasnt really surprised by Bobs response in any context.

Bobs refered a lot of times to anger management issues and having to go to therapy (which he sabotaged), it's very likely even in non-hostile situations you're talking about a guy with a hair trigger temper and explosive results. Frankly such people are a nightmare to deal with as a teen because the ebb and flow of friendship is unviable, I've seen plenty of nerds/metalhead/outsiders with this attitude since counterculture draws them in to people who'll begrudgingly tolerate their bullshit.

Imagine having a friend who when you tease him about Mario being shit he won't speak to you for a week-that's probably bob in highschool.

This guy is trying really hard to be a cultural ambassador for Chinese movies but failing, based on the videos I've seen. What an odd time to start being one anyway, considering the Hong Kong movie industry hasn't recovered since the early 2000s and is in danger of losing it's identity thanks to Shanghai and the CCP and the mainland Chinese I know are embarrassed by the output from their home countries.

There has been one or two very influential and popular films in Hong Kong in the past 10 years. I'm thinking in particular of The Way We Dance. This film was notable for being an indie production, on a subject that is neither political or overly commercial, and neither kowtowed to nor antagonize the Mainland. The film, however, was so popular that it was regarded as one of the pop-culture landmarks of the 2010s. But don't expect Bobby to sympathize with a bunch of young street dance enthusiasts. They are likely jerky jocks.

Bobby likes Wong Jing, and there have also been a bloom of Wong Jing like films (politically incorrect "sex comedies" with lots women showing their assets) such as Vulgaria and Due West: Our Sex Journey. These films were borne from the cesspit of Hong Kong internet culture (think the HK version of 4chan). Bobby might impress Naomi Wu if he review one of these.

I would be surprised if Bob is aware of the movie's existence, since he, like 99% of movie-focused Youtube channels, only watch movies that have large marketing budgets and don't really go out of their way to discover movies outside the Hollywood/RT bubble.

I assume it's pre 2000's Wong Jing like God of Gamblers and not From Vegas to Macau, which I would consider to be just as bad as the likes of Epic Movie. I would be impressed if he reviews the Sex and Zen movies and go through the history of Category III HK movies but doing so involves research, and I don't associate Bob with research.

Robert explains why he willing exposes himself to opposing opinions despite having a complete intolerance to them:

Robert DESTROYS small brained detractor who suggested that there are more important issues than creating jetpacks:
Silly detractor, don't you know. Robert needs a jetpack as he could lose legs to diabetes at any time now and will likely use said jetpack as a replacement for them.

Some sperging about the Dems and politics. "Elizabeth Warren would be president is she was a man", obsoletes, Bernie sperging and more:

I am legitimately astonished that he trotted out the "stolen from me" language. He can't be unaware that it's his most dunked-on comment since "What would Mario think of us?!" during the height of Gamergate. It suggests this is what he honestly believes, which in conjunction with the "garbage humans in need of necessary evolution" rhetoric only makes him look like an ever-more deranged psychopath.

A Chinese movie I saw a while back that I really enjoyed was Our Times. It's this sprawling romantic comedy that has some Nicholas Sparks drama but also a lot of genuinely funny lines and some surprisingly good fight scenes (the main male character is a brawler delinquent, and they go full kung fu movie with it). So I looked it up and...
Taiwanese.

He really does and he really is. Robert has a massive sense of entitlement for no justifiable reason and unlike most people with this mindset, he can't hide his power level about it.

I don't buy this stolen superior future for a second... And I'm not just talking about the quirky "muh jetpacks, Star trek future", but the whole Urban centered economy led by the brightest and diverse minds of our generation, you know, the fucking Lisa Simpson speech.

Robert doesn't give two shits about that, the only tangencial thing he has for this "superior future", is that he counts himself as one of the enlightned ones that will usher the new era... but only count, because he knows he isn't going to do shit. Even his outrage in defense of minorities and the marginalized comes across as staged and over the top.

Nah, the thing Robert is upset is that he just turned up 39 and his life ain't what he wanted it to be. Meaning that he doesn't have the sucess, the money or the women he desires, or any woman at all.

And that is a fairly mundane thing, everybody thinks their life sucks and they deserved better, in our heats of hearts, everybody is egotistical like that, but everybody knows that complain about this is also just about the most childish and lame thing to do, and Robert also knows he can't blame for the things he is acctualy mad about on anybody but himself, even though under his breath he rpobably blame others for his personal failures.

But, as we know Robert can't let shit go, and worse, he has nobody to lean on his frustration. Compared to most, he has nothing, no wife, no kids, and probably will stay that way till its too late to change anything. His "job" seems to be a dead end, whatever popularity he had on the internet seems to have reached it's course, he is too old to reach for any new audience and his productions reek of laziness and amateurism. He aspires to write books and scripts, and yet has made no moves to reach that gold, he is still living in his hometown, on his tiny apartment, hanging with his brother.

Combine that with his self reported anger issues, and there you go. The issue is, he can't rage about how pathetic he is, he can't openly whine he isn't living the life he deserves and that is what it makes Robert fascinating and repugnant at the same time, because we can all see, and even understand, that behind this self-rigthous lashing outs he makes on twitter, is only meant to hide his personal failures and egotistical frustrations.

That is because he is a deranged psychopath.
