It's also the year he started braying on about a "superior future", as he latched onto that particular rhetorical device as part of how he characterized the 2012 election. Obama was the force of vision for a superior future of progress and math and science vs Romney, the avatar of prudish tea party conservatism and anti-lgbt bigotry.

I'm pretty sure his parents both died later, but I contend that something happened late in 2011/early 2012 that broke a fundamental component in Bob's brain that sent him from your average neckbeard sped towards whatever he is today.
Midlife crisis? I mean, optimistically that was the halfway point of Robert's lifespan.

8-Street Fighter 2... Raul Julia meme movie. If you like Street Fighter there are tons of better movies and series to watch... nothing really great, but way better than this dumbass movie.
He's actually not talking about the Raul Julia movie. That was just called Street Fighter. He's talking about this:

Which is actually a pretty good Street Fighter anime flick. Sure, the plot is paper thin and so are the characters, but it's chock full of cool visuals and fight scenes, and the animation is great, especially if you prefer the old school style of hand drawn anime.

Robert probably just likes it because he'd fap to the Chun Li shower fight scene when he was younger.

Oh boy Bobby wants everyone to know it’s his birthday today
Yes this is totally something internet reviewers do and doesn’t look sad at all.

God Damnit... I also like this movie... okay Robert, you can have this one.

I really should watch these videos before shitposting... but I can't watch his shit anymore, either I skip around or I don't watch at alll.

Haven't watched the new one, but the Sonic one wasn't too bad if you pretended he has throat cancer.

I feel you bro. I can't stand to watch any of his videos either. It's not just his banal opinions, but his terrible presentation and smarmy, sped up line delivery that are just unbearable to me. He sounds so smug about every sentence when he has absolutely nothing to be smug about. The fast forward speaking also feels like he's trying to rush through so you can't catch anything stupid he says. It's like a gish gallop, but instead of a bunch of sources it's just a manchild pulling sperg out of his ass and presenting it as fact. It's tiring to listen to. But in this case @Toxinophile specified Street Fighter 2 and the 1994 anime in his original breakdown. I immediately knew which one he was talking about.

His mom is still alive. He occasionally talks about her(a). His dad died in late 2017(a). His grandma, the one in his book, died on June 17, 2012(a). Slight tangent, twitter shows the grandma tweet as having 56 direct replies yet neither twitter or the archive show any of them at all.

Of course, he's also on Twitter today, complaining about being on Twitter.

He got convinced by left leaning propaganda that the conservatives were on the decline.

I can recall around that time have a similar perception of progress. That the squabbling over race and sexuality and that most Americans had a live and let live attitude when it came to social issues.

And if your only interaction with the world was through Twitter, it would seem like everyone was progressive and only a few old white people were holding us back.

Bob’s a lemming with delusions of grandeur. He’s following the trends of the previous decade, and he’s angry that his promised future isn’t coming true.

Wow I can't believe some "editorial" would actually quote Hitler.

Like he is literally saying "these people are morons, get rid of them" in that quote.
