This incident escalated to where we are today.

3) Edwin Boyette became the person running Indiecron and started featuring non-CG books. WarCampaign, forever the zealots, felt that the website should ONLY feature CG content (they later planned to do this themselves). Boyette did not placate them. So, War Campaign did what they always do to those they find as enemies. Boyette got mad. REALLY mad. He went full tilt. As a result, CG creators began demanding their projects be removed from Indiecron.

Part of the Earthworm Jim license deal was that the book couldn't be part of any controversial movement.

EDVS insists that Comicsgate isn't controversial, since the main face values are 1. treat customers well 2. make good comics. He doesn't feel the antics of people associated with comicsgate colors the entire movement, or product, or philosophy or whatever CG is. And he doesn't feel that the hit pieces by anti-cg or sjw figures/media should be considered.

Google comicsgate and you're going to find a lot of dis-information. The perception, or false perception normies get about it, you can see how people might say it is controversial.

He tweeted out "Is Earthworm Jim anti-gay?" in relation to CG getting labeled as Pro pride/Pro gay/Anti christian following the Pride is a Sin tweet? Doug got mad about that. But Ethan apologized to him in a livestream. Ethan wanted the matter laid to rest, but Mike Miller started making livestreams about it and Ethan got mad at Mike for dragging it out.

Ethan keeps rejecting the title of leader, but he has very strong opinions on how he wants his circle to act. Mike has a tendency to straight up ignore any advice, really Ethan should have cut ties before it came to that, or not made the split such a big deal. I also think Ethan obfuscated being anti Pride Movement with being against gay. Which is a mistake noone should be making anymore with the constant attacks against "terf" lesbians.

As for Doug, for someone getting lambasted as being anti-lgbt, he regularly has more trans people on his show than anyone else. His detractors might call that as him being calculating.

I also think we've turned another corner in which Mike, Edwin and Doug's constant picking at the CG scab on Twitter and YouTube is becoming far more annoying than anything else. They're like those old reality TV quasi-celebs who would bemoan their lack of privacy yet curiously always seem to find a camera to cry into. Especially Mike, who is by any stretch a dude who makes VERY POOR LIFE CHOICES. For him not to realize that he needed to suck it up and pretend to like EVS for his own financial wellbeing is beyond tarded.

Wasn't Ethan bitching about doug not thanking him at comic con when the book had a thank you to Ethan. I'm not too sure about mikes exit since he was still around when wc was initially kicked out (which was ethan's smartest plan.) Edwin leaked some of the tribunal shit war campaign had with tug.

IDW was a spin off of Wildstorm. They have connections. If they can get even just Batman or Superman that would basically prop them up.

Considering the only qualifications to be a CG project is to not shove gay politics down the reader's throat and not treat the customer like dirt it's probably as much a CG project as any. But no, it's not marketed as a CG campaign. But is Cecil's for that matter? Zack did a livestream where he said CG is essentially just a few common sense principles. The thing with Zack is that he is 100% against Twitter and the associated drama. I know he's been trying to get EVS off of it for a while. If CG existed as only those principles and excluded the drama Zach would probably embrace the CG label again.

Frog and other opportunists who were already getting pushed out for a long time saw a group of angry readers, a business opportunity, and took advantage of it. I looked through some updates and in December she talked about how she found out her previous artist friend was fucking around for a year and only drew a small amount of pages and spent a bunch of money on useless shit. The new guy is on the up and up as far I know if this is the same Matthew doing official TMNT art. So she'll probably be back on track. She should probably ask Ya Boi for some advice on how to manage a campaign though, she seems really over head

I know 95% of this thread has devolved into "Notice how much I hate you, Frogboy!", but if you recall there was a time when EVS gave up a mainstream career in no small part because he was publicly supporting Zack. Maybe Zack is just a loyal dude.

Zack has often talked about how he enjoys GI Joe as a “loyalty fantasy” so I get the impression he takes his personal relationships very seriously. He treats EVS as a friend and, by extension, treats people EVS is friends with well.

Ethan has a good thing going for him with Cyberfrog. It’s a cool character that could have a lot of appeal. He just can’t see the forest for the trees and would rather stoke petty, boring drama than make kickass books. Zack’s motives seem to be the exact opposite.

Well, he's the one who infected cg and made it a personal fan club with tons of gayops, purity testing and dramawhoring. Half of us were long time viewers tried of him pretending to be innocent and people betrays him which he usually starts drama that makes people resent him. If he stopped the bitching streams when someone leaves cg and then maybe people would like him again. He's running cg like a one sided kumite.

If by no small part, you mean no big part at all. He fence road for as long as he could. Trump happened, and apparently EVS has always been a shit to work with. So he was on the way out, and he saw a life line.

Martina made a mistake early on by shipping stretch goal product before her book was done, which ate up a ton of her shipping money. Then her artist flaked on her after having been paid.

I'm not sure what I can do to help her at this point...Matt Weldon was helping her finish her art, last I heard, and she hasn't come to me with ideas for what I could do to fix her situation. If she did, I'd be willing to help out somehow. But she has to make some decisions of her own first.
