A breaking news story just came out.

They're urging Costa Mesa to lift the ban.

Man, the optics of this just looks like they are going way out of the way to put people at risk. What the hell are the Feds doing?

Travis AFB update

  • The QZ fence is the same, except t's just wide open in front of the main hotel's entrance with no discernable barricades of any kind.
  • Still no casually noticeable security to prevent escapees.
  • More people are hanging around outside within the 'fenced' QZ, sitting at outdoor tables, one was riding a bike, most just kind of milling around.
  • The quarantined people outside are all wearing masks all of a sudden. I FUCKING WONDER WHY.
  • There was a base fire truck and base fire department vehicle near one of the QZ entrances, lights flashing, no idea what they were doing. Just kind of standing there talking at that time.
  • Zero news vehicles detected at the gate, but now the usual SF vehicle is facing the entry road when it's usually more off to the side. The press has likely been shooed away entirely.

a man on an LA subway train ranting at an Asian woman, saying “every disease has ever came from China.”
Yeah... No connection between China and diseases at all.

I don't know why they're not looking for bigger areas to house them in the desert. At least the desert towns are more isolated which would at least make it easier to do a quarantine. None of Orange County is decent for a quarantined area. It's way too populated.
The crazy part to me is that they wanted to move a large number of people in and they didn't even check to see if the building is up to code or good enough. But no- lets just stick them all in a place that's run down.

After I heard about what happened in Milan and the empty shelves, it makes me worried about Corona hitting the US. This is some apocalyptic shit.

And people are really playing the "don't be racist" card because others don't want to get sick. Unbelievable.
Totally believable. The west has gone soft from decades of peace and prosperity. These soy filled, hormone pumped chickenshits fully believe that every ill they perceive is the result of evil, bigoted nebulous ideas, all while sitting in their "safe" urban bubble of progressive ideals.

A nasty plague will wake then the fuck up when their urban, hormone fueled utopia goes tits up with quarantine and rampant illness. Same way anti vaxxers get woken up when the whole family is quarantined with the fucking measles and they lose one of their kids in the process.

The modern liberal west is in need of a good ass-raping, and Corona-chan is going to beat Islam to the punch.

was this posted here yet? probably fake but still creepy.

can any of you moonrune-speakers read the comments and see if it's BS or not? seems fake.

This website says it's fake. Not sure how reliable a source they are though, for all I know they're being fed CCP talking points. I hope to god the video is indeed bullshit, shit's straight out of a horror film.

I don't know if anyone else has posted this yet but here is a piece from the New York Times exploring why men and women are affected differently by the Wu-Flu
Why the Coronavirus Seems to Hit Men Harder than Women
A stew of biological factors may be responsible, including the female sex hormone estrogen, which appears to play a role in immunity, and the fact that women carry two X chromosomes, which contain immune-related genes. Men, of course, carry only one.

Virus-hit China set to postpone parliament for first time in decades
https://news.yahoo.com/virus-hit-china-set-postpone-parliament-first-time-031746737.html (http://archive.vn/3Tm0n)

China is expected to decide Monday whether to postpone its annual parliament session for the first time since the Cultural Revolution as the country battles the coronavirus outbreak.

Top Communist Party leaders including President Xi Jinping attend each year's gathering of the National People's Congress, which rubber-stamps bills, budgets and personnel moves already decided by the party.

But much of China has ground to a halt in the battle against an outbreak that has infected nearly 80,000 people and claimed more than 2,500 lives.

Many top officials who would normally attend the meeting are consumed with tackling the virus in their home regions.

And Beijing has imposed quarantine measures on those arriving from other parts of China, a practical challenge for a gathering of nearly 3,000 delegates.

Then there are the bad optics of China's leaders arriving in face masks for a meeting that is highly stage-managed to present the image of a Communist Party in perfect control of the country.

The NPC's Standing Committee meets on Monday to discuss whether to delay the session, which was due to start on March 5.

Ling Li, a lecturer on Chinese politics at the University of Vienna, said postponement was "very likely".

"If the situation is not significantly improved by Monday, then a decision not to postpone the NPC conference would be unreasonable and signal a desperate effort of the authorities to keep up the appearance of political normality, which is not there," she said.

The gathering is used to portray the government as answerable to the people's representatives, but its deliberations are pre-determined well in advance and the whole event is tightly choreographed by the Communist Party.

Nevertheless, it generates global interest as a glimpse into China's political and economic policy priorities for the coming year.

Despite its highly choreographed nature, the NPC meeting can still herald important changes.

The 2018 session approved the removal of presidential term limits -- handing Xi a potentially lifelong tenure.

With Mao Zedong as the meeting's chair, the NPC first convened in September 1954 in Beijing, where delegates passed the new constitution of the People's Republic of China, five years after its founding.

The legislature met almost every year after that for the next decade, but paused during the decade of political turmoil ushered in by Mao's Cultural Revolution.

It re-convened in 1978, two years after Mao's death.

Since 1985, it has been held each March -- and on March 5 specifically for the last two decades.

But everyday life has been paralysed by the virus and unprecedented measures to contain it, including the lockdown of tens of millions of people at the epicentre in central Hubei province.

Zang Tiewei, a spokesman for the legislative affairs commission of the NPC Standing Committee, told state-controlled news agency Xinhua that delaying the yearly political event was "necessary" to ensure "attention is focused on the prevention and control of the epidemic."

Dorothy Solinger, an expert on Chinese politics at the University of California at Irvine, said it would be a "smart move to postpone."

"Look at the message that sends," she said. "We (the government) are putting all our effort into combatting the virus. We don't have the time to hold these meetings now."

The virus also deeply impacts some of the session's most hallowed rituals, she said.

"How could they present the mandatory NPC upbeat accounts of the progress and positive prognosis of the economy and other achievements in the midst of such uncertainty as they're facing now?"

man what a tool. Looks like he lives in a low density area, with a walled off big house and an intercom. More money than sense, it seems.
Boston Mayor Urges Sony to Reconsider PAX East Absence Over Coronavirus, Says it Plays Into 'Harmful Stereotypes'
Only one Boston resident has been confirmed to have the disease.

It’s been less than a week since PlayStation announced it won’t be attending PAX East in Boston due to “increasing concerns” over COVID-19, otherwise known as the novel coronavirus. Now, the mayor of Boston has reached out to Sony to appeal to the company, urging them to make a decision based on “facts, not fear,” and urging PlayStation to not play into “harmful stereotypes” about Chinese people.

According to WCVB (via Eurogamer), Boston Mayor Marty Walsh has sent a letter to PlayStation CEO Kenichiro Yoshida, saying to the gaming company president that the risk of individuals contracting the COVID-19 in Boston and Massachusetts remains extremely low. Walsh also stated in the letter that anti-Chinese and anti-Asian sentiment and misinformation have played a role in the increasing fear of the COVID-19 in the United States.
"These fears reinforce harmful stereotypes that generations of Asians have worked hard to dismantle," reads Walsh's letter. "They trigger our worst impulses: to view entire groups of people with suspicion, to close ourselves off, and to miss out on the opportunities and connections our global city provides. Boston is united in our efforts to dispel these harmful and misguided fears."

Walsh specifically urged PlayStation to play a role in pushing back against these fears.
"As a large, international company, you have an opportunity to set a good example," Walsh wrote. "As a leader in technology, you can show that you are motivated by facts, not fear. As a leader in gaming and culture, you can show that you believe in connection, not isolation."
So far, only one Boston resident has been confirmed to have contracted COVID-19. That resident, a man in his 20s who attends the University of Massachusetts and returned from recent trip to Wuhan, the Chinese city at the center of the outbreak, has since been kept in isolation in his home where he is currently recovering.

Since COVID-19 appeared in Boston, Walsh has started a social media campaign focused on easing the fears of the city’s Chinatown’s business.
PlayStation has yet to publicly respond to Walsh’s letter.
An increase in racist comments and attacks has been linked to increasing fear over COVID-19. A viral video recorded recently shows a man on an LA subway train ranting at an Asian woman, saying “every disease has ever came from China.” Similarly, another video recorded at a Super 8 in Plymouth, Indiana shows a man denying a room to two Hmong men over a similar fear. Other video footage shows a man attacking an Asian woman seemingly for wearing a face mask, a common accessory in Asian communities long before COVID-19 arose.
As of February 23, COVID-19 has killed approximately 2,442 people in China’s mainland, with a total of 76,936 reported infections, according to Aljazeera. According to CNN, United States health officials have confirmed 35 cases of COVID-19 in the country. The highest concentration of individuals with COVID-19 appears to be in California, with a confirmed eight cases.
PlayStation and Facebook (which owns the Oculus VR brand) similarly also pulled out of the 2020 Game Developers Conference, which is hosted in San Francisco’s downtown district from March 16 to March 20, citing the same concerns over the coronavirus.
“We have made the difficult decision to cancel our participation in Game Developers Conference due to increasing concerns related to COVID-19… We felt this was the best option as the situation related to the virus and global travel restrictions are changing daily," Sony said in a statement. "We are disappointed to cancel our participation, but the health and safety of our global workforce is our highest concern. We look forward to participating in GDC in the future.”

PlayStation not attending PAX East also means that a previously planned demo of The Last of Us Part II will not be available for the public.
The outbreak of COVID-19 has interrupted other gaming events as well. The Overwatch development team has announced it will temporarily relocate its Chinese teams to South Korea, and Nintendo confirmed the outbreak will impact Animal Crossing: New Horizons shipments in Japan.

Looks like the mayor wants Boston to become the next Wuhan, all in the name of anti-racism. Madness.
You're not supposed to drink your own kool aid bat soup! This is some disturbing levels of "some of you may die but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make". The further loss of credibility of authority and media figures is going to be staggering
Canada is fucked now.

Passenger aboard Air Canada flight to Vancouver from Montreal tests positive for COVID-19

Air Canada has confirmed that a passenger aboard one of its flights from Montreal to Vancouver on Valentine's Day has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.

The airline said health authorities confirmed the case on Feb. 22, more than a week after the flight. Air Canada says it's working with public health authorities and has taken "all recommended measures."

The Montreal Airport Authority told CBC News that it had not been informed about the case by either Air Canada or B.C. public health authorities, but it also wouldn't expect to hear if they did not feel it was necessary at this stage.

The plane departed from Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. The airport said it doesn't know how long the passenger may have been in the airport.
Would someone think of all the poor chinese spies immigrants in canada?
My prediction and bet is that it won't spread to Southern Italy. Or Eastern Europe.
I think letting all those cumans settle in the 15th century is going to bite hungary in the ass
From two of Dr Campbell independent sources, a doctor has died a week ago in Iran from the coronavirus, he was tested at it's latest stages, infecting probably all of the patients he treated and then some because he kept working for weeks before getting seriously sick and dying.

His sources also told him the Mayer from Tehran's District 13 was infected while attending the friday prayer with 10,000 people, wich also includes traditionnal sitting very close to each other, cultural kissing of the face and shaking hands...

Numbers out of Iran are vastly under-reported knowing all that...

Iran is done.

Well... Looks like we got a problem, Israel :

Hmmm, yeah, we definately have a problem there :

Hold up. Pilgrimage? There's a very interesting disease vector relating to SK and a church going around. Are these yahoos spreading it all over the globe?

The amount of people supporting this is scary.

Great idea, if you aren't sick now, hug a bunch of strangers, that'll do the trick. Didn't he watch the old infomercials about stds?

"Dear Sony President Shuhei Yoshida. Please reconsider not attending the conference in Boston. You should think about the fact that it could be Anti-Asian racism that is infuencing your decision."

So I'm hearing monday Shanghai Paypal's offices are expecting to have 70% of its workers back. Be interesting to see just how many people show up or if it even happens.

If Xi gets people back to work (at gunpoint) it may be the eye of the hurricane. The media will crow about how everything is back to normal and the crisis is past. Til a week or 2 later, when China cases grow exponentially and they start dropping dead in the factories and offices by the hundreds.

After I heard about what happened in Milan and the empty shelves, it makes me worried about Corona hitting the US. This is some apocalyptic shit.

And people are really playing the "don't be racist" card because others don't want to get sick. Unbelievable.

I gotta admit, the time from initial cases, to spread, to runs on stores happened a lot faster than I had expected in a Western nation. Does not bode well for burgerland.
