Chris has bigger problems too, but he's never really had to face serious consequences for his actions so he simply doesn't care about them. What is debt besides numbers on paper? Mewtwo is less abstract to him than debt.

I'm aware of what the Idea Guys did, but I'm not entirely sure I agree with your idea that chris is just saying this just for the sake of his fantasy. Chris is petty and childish, and we've seen his eel-like way of lying about anything and everything if it means getting what he wants or just feeling like he's the most powerful person in the universe. His ego won't allow anything else. And he's already admitted to being tricked and blackmailed, why say 'yeah I was tricked' then pretend like he wasn't?

He already stated that he became trans to become available to lesbians and straight women, so there's a lot of disingenuousness about his trans status, so why shouldn't there be the same about his bisexuality? Personally I'm inclined to believe he thinks 'Bi' means he likes straight and gay women in the weird mental gymnastics that only Chris can pull off. He's only maintaining this because of the massive internet ass pats he gets from weirdos like MKR and his other white knights/we'ens, and the ability to morally grand stand and pretend like he's being persecuted for his sexuality and trans status is exactly the kind of think chris would want.
