He just died playing the SNES Kirby game. That is all.
kirby super star? where did he die at?

He literally does it because people complained about it. It didn't used to be a multiple times daily event.
*antagonizes his chat for fun*
NO ONE HAS A REASON TO HATE ME DOOD!!!

I seriously didn't think it was even possible to lose Gourmet Race
you can come in last on each race AND STILL WIN and phil somehow LOST
holy shit, that is fucking pathetic

I'm late as hell to this, but that "eating out vs not eating out and that it costs the same rant" just blows my socks off.

Why was he so quick to anger for that anyway?

Phil: Guys I can't afford to eat out, I need more money.
Everyone else: Spend less or make meals at home.

That's why Phil was so angry. He doesn't comprehend home cooking because the most he ever makes is 1 recipe of terrible ass sauce and everything else is 15 dollar chicken tenders or meal kits.

Speaking of the sauce... he hasn't made it recently since Kat started phasing it out.

that and when phil says "I NEED MONEY TO EAT OUT" he expects ass pats and sympathy
to have someone say "no phil, you don't need to eat out, or eat expensive bs. you can eat cheaply at home" is horrible because they're telling him "no fancy restaurant tendies"

Try to explain to a spoiled kid that going to restaurants but not order appetizer and dessert is still not proper saving.
He's this kind of guy who spends way too much money on expensives, but gets smug when he chooses the slightly less expensive version. The fine whine was reduced, dood. The caviar was in sell. It was very cheap, dood - but there was no need to buy it in the first place.

of course i'm eating healthy dood
this is a nacho SALAD and the coke is DIET, okay?

There's a whole thread for that if you're interested in further reading.

I don't think DSP is that complicated. I think he's a deeply insecure man on a number of levels who came to prominence through very little action on his own part and has been watching that prominence fade for a long time knowing the lifestyle to which he's become accustomed is threatened as that happens. I think he's a lazy, shallow person to some degree but that his insecurity paralyzes him from making decisions that would improve his life and forces him to cover himself with lies and bravado.

All this to say that I don't think he's worth pitying. Mental illness is a terrible thing and people who have it deserve help but when they start beating up on the others around them on account of it while simultaneously refusing to get help then I lose the will to empathize with them. Phil's been foisting his livelihood off on others for ten years now. He's facing a bankruptcy hearing next week despite all the goodwill he's been shown by countless people and his entire "career" has been characterized by consistent greed and spite toward his fans. To me that's the single aspect of him that puts him beyond sympathy. You could give this man a million dollars and then ask him what his favorite Final Fantasy game was and he'd treat you with the same contempt he'd show a pile of dogshit he'd just stepped in. He will never show gratitude or humility and for that reason I will never care how depressed he actually may be. He can fuck right off the edge of the planet and I'm pretty sure it will continue to spin for everyone else on it.

Completely agree in regards to this assessment.

Phil is a very average and mediocre individual. He has no particular trade skill that could make him stand out; no expertise of any type; no unique discerning qualities either. He’s the “average guy” who got lucky with the early days of YT and came into an inordinate amount of money that he completely mismanaged and 11 years later, he’s on the brink of losing it all.

His story is really not that special. If anything, DSP represents the quintessential mediocre American male who fucked his life up. The main difference is that his fall from grace has become a public event. A consequence of shouldering your financial responsibilities and obligations onto others.

What stands Phil apart from most people is the amount of energy he dedicates to convincing himself and others that all of his self-inflicted wounds are the fault of others, never himself.

This level of psychological dissonance is indeed unique since most people are able to critically look inward and ask themselves the very simple question: “Where did I go wrong?” Phil, so far, has been unable to ask himself this question which could offer him a new paradigm to judge and gauge what he has done wrong and take the necessary corrective measures to fix the utter mess his life has become.

A life of solitude and crippling debt is mentally exhausting. His underlying (and hidden) alcoholism as well as gambling addiction issues demonstrate that he has no coping mechanisms that do not involve escaping the reality he’s built for himself.

He’s stuck in a situation that is going to make the rest of his life incredibly difficult and uncomfortable and for someone as averse to effort and hard work, DSP finds himself in the worst situation he could possibly want to be in.

He’s not doing well, psychologically and physically. These 11 years of avoiding responsibilities have finally caught up to him and we’re seeing the results of such irresponsibility.

This and a lot of other "psychoanalytical" posts around Phil reek of projection and insecurity.

I mean, the average guy gets an average job with an average income. If our dear Philip can't even do that, then he's bellow average.

This is the shit I love to see after a long hiatus from the farms and seeing DSP's life crumble into hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt and a not so well hidden alcohol and gambling addiction. It's good to be back right on the brink of his hearing to talk about how we got here from that chubby little fuck back in the late 2000's, so I won't waste any time.

DSP's loves to go on and on about he's a success story, someone to look at and learn from. I can only agree on that by saying that everything DSP does is the epitome of how not to be an actual human being. A sulky, "depressed", angry little man, going on and on about how invisible people ruined his life and there was nothing he could really do, dood (You know, besides getting a job). I swear to god his boomer rants, which are the best parts of his streams and no one can prove me wrong, is the prime example on how he loves to blame everyone else for his problems because us, little kids, made him move across the country and take out 14 credit cards.

I feel like when he constantly goes back and yells about trolls being no-lives, losers, idiots, conspiracy theorists, etc; it's a mild bit of projection himself. He had every chance to "phase out" streaming and get a part time job like he talked about when he first brought up his bankruptcy(hell, he talked about it when he came back from his wedding), but he chose not to cause getting a job would mean "the trolls win". I suppose so, I guess. Have fun saying you beat us on your sinking ship, Phil, I'm so jealous.

With this bankruptcy, as well as all the discrepancies in it(shoutouts to actually with the DSP financials forum), we see that even in this "life and death" situation, he can't be upfront and honest to anyone. He'll even lie under penalty of perjury and put words in other people's mouths just to one up us, the shitheads with no lives. These last few weeks have really taken a toll on our boy Phil. He's attacked his own fans for being idiots and not just listening to him, he doesn't understand what the fuck Confirmation Bias is, and he tries to nervous laugh the fact that a once fan called him out for lying. You know, the thing that he can't stop doing.

God I can't wait until those 2-3 paypigs depart for other, less boring streamers. In the meantime, I'm sensing another boomer rant coming in really soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

Ironic because I always think the same when DSP does it to others. He loves to say everybody else has no life, everybody else doesn't understand how life works, everybody else must have bad relationships or no relationships at all, everybody else is mentally fucked up, everybody else lacks morality, cahmmen sense and/or ethics.

I disagree that DSP is the ahverage American male, he's below ahverage at best. He's only been propelled forward because his parents are enablers and have spoiled the little pig his whole life and his downfall is only being prolonged (the ahverage dood would have hit the dirt by now) because he has a gaggle of mongs circling him and feeding him dahllars he doesn't deserve. He's the definition of a participation trophy recipient, he literally doesn't do fucking anything to earn or deserve his paypigs yet he's insufferably entitled about it all.

Speaking of the sauce... he hasn't made it recently since Kat started phasing it out.

I completely forgot about those SAUCY SUNDAY streams where he would have to leave every ~30 minutes to stir his precious sauce, and he tried to hype it up by calling it SAUCY SUNDAY, like him having to constantly take breaks from the stream was some exciting thing. God, fuck off.

He was so full of shit during that rant too. *Sarcastic voice* "Uhh if I'm running errands all day I have to eat!" Pack a lunch d00d. Takes 2 second to make a PB sandwich.

"I'm talking about getting a basic meal dude. Like it'd be the same cost to buy it at the store as it would at the restaurant. But it's not like I'm getting a $30 meal with an appetizer and dessert!" Again, bullshit! We've seen your instagram Phil.

And he talks like we've all forgotten his mashed potato matriarch exists, so his meal + whatever she gets while they're out EASILY surpasses in cost what he could buy and make at home.

Repeating myself here but he's just like a big hairy baby. He doesn't care about practicality or being frugal, he just wants a treat on his day out. Window shopping all day is hard work!

taco salad at taco Bell is one of the unhealthiest menu options

Ummm, no. So I guess I have to explain this to you.

*Snort, condescending look into the camera*

Taco Bell *Pause, lean in ban, back to rant*

Couldn't LEGALLY call it a salad without there being some nutritional benefit. But you wouldn't know that because you're just a dumb fuck kid, okay? Moving on.

Oh, we got a 12000 bit cheer from Papavera, thank you Papavera.

Don't forget the annoying bottle crunch and the ACKACKACK

I remember first it was Kat helping stir the sauce (which he never let Leanna do), then it was Kat making something with store bought sauce, now he never mentions the sauce.

I legit think Kat cucked him out of his special sauce.
