Not even at the party's nadir in the 2012 primary were Republican politicians in places like Spokane or upstate NY (red enclaves in heavily blue states) mass defecting to Democrats. Even during peak Trump hysteria during the 2016 election it was only NeverTrumper media pundits officially changing registration, the politicians outraged about the party's direction voted Hillary at the top and Republicans downticket. I fail to see how this isn't somewhat shocking, at least in the sense that's its relatively rare.

As for how the dems hurt the poor personal experience in how government programs incentivize laziness, single payer house holds and laziness gained from living in a big city. There is also simply looking at the lifestyle of the poor in blue cities and how they stack up to the more red suburbs.
I get the difficulty there is a lot of misinformation out there because it is a political subject and every newspapper wants to tell you that it really isn't that good. They've spent the last four years telling you garfield is a monster and how he is destroying the country so anything that is positive or even middle of the road can't be stated or they would have to admit they are wrong. That being said be skeptical of all articles regardless of the sight once again a thing I've noticed is that most republicans understand fox/brightbart and any other right wing news source are biased where as dems tend to think their news is balanced.
Like I said earlier please come back to this thread, just make sure you have something to challenge us and not just hyperbolic jabs you could hear from any late night comedian we need to make sure this doesn't become an echo chamber.

Messages like these always remind me of how much the media kept talking about the "dangers" of Joker coming out and causing another mass shooting from the right/incel/gamer/etc., which never happened. Very clear that they were salivating at the idea of people dying so they could write a bunch of "gotcha" articles about whatever group they could tack responsibility onto. These people are always so blatantly gleeful at the idea of people suffering or possibly dying to score a perceived win against something they don't like. I'm just disgusted every time these people fake like they actually care about human suffering so they can shove their political opinions and get woke brownie points, they just crawl out of the woodwork when the bodies aren't even cold yet. These guys would probably cheer if the world slipped into another depression like the 1930s because they could yell about how they were right about drumph as massive amounts of people starved and struggled to support their families.
It's probably quite lucky that Trump has built up the US economy so much since taking office that it can suffer more blows then when it was under previous administration. I can only imagine the impact it would have had on the US had this happened earlier.

I think the average person realizes that Trump had nothing to do with Corona Chan and the current effects, compared to Bush and Katrina the internet response wasn't strong enough to fight off all the media manipulation or the blatant realization the mayor of New Orleans did fuck all. Right now, people know it's China's fault, and to an extent the stupid Italians. All Trump has to do is emphasize he's been fighting China for the past three years because a situation like right now would happen and there's no real response to that but Orange Man Dumb, New Yorker cover yass qweeen slay. At this point I expect them to turn and say with their blinders on "Why didn't Drumpf fight China even more he could have prevented this!!!"
When you have people like Warren deliberately making a political game out of this with her PR stunt of a bill in the senate or the ramblings of AOC about Mike Pence being tasked to do the rather standard team leading, people not in this twitter cult realize this is just another iteration of the desperate attempt to get a recession going just like what happened last year.
And that's what really pisses me off in this whole thing, making it near impossible to get information without it being aimed at doing maximum damage to Trump for blatant polticial gain, or going full on doomer.
