I realize I’ve been posting here way too much, but after doing some browsing when I stumbled upon this and wow. Who knew a show this optimistic could attract some depressed fucks:

It's a cartoon for CHILDREN. Kids don't give two shits about mental health. Kids want to watch a hopeful story with adventure and fun characters.

This show, man. Ugh.

Maybe that’s why kids don’t watch this stuff! They’re probably gonna get bored or something and then watch something else. This show is weird I tell you.

Hasn't it already been established that kids hardly watch this show anyway? Its audience consists more of teenagers going through their snowflake phase and full-grown man/woman children.

I just wanna say.

Greg got done dirty the whole show. He was the best character, had the best songs and got treated like crap the entire time.
The worst part is that Greg was practically a saint compared to everyone else but there’s still more suffering for him to go. Meanwhile, the Diamonds got away with literal murder with a slap on the wrist. Even when characters try to do good, literal villains still end up with the better deal.
I love the show, but I have always find it funny how a whole planet of homicidal and mentally ill space ladies got saved by the down to earth wisdom of a white middle aged dude. I dont think thats very feminist, Rebecca.
What’s funnier is that it hasn’t gone unnoticed. There are some serious radfems out there that decry the show as faux feminist for having a male main character and criticize Sugar for not making Connie go “yasss kween slay” on everyone.

80s Hair Metal saved the universe once again.

I think the show was best when it was about space stuff and the gems, Gem Harvest was great because it actually showed the problems when two different cultures clash. And it had a nice message about tolerance and trying to understand the others point of view. I think that also got some people from the far left mad because they wanted validation from a kids show about how you should never listen to the other side and violence is perfectly acceptable as a means to an end.

That is the part that made me start to hate the show.

Farmer with a legitimate beef about two aliens from a hostile world squatting in his farm is put on the same level of EVIL as actual Genocidal Invaders from said hostile world.

Did you forget he's canonically a joo

You know what I don't understand? Apparently White rules homeworld, Yellow is army/tech, Pink is... army? And Blue is supposed to be a diplomat. A diplomat. When they just go and genocide planets on the regular and consider organic life retarded. That's not even getting into the huge backspace (widely regarded non-canon) one of Sugar's lackey's did when the implication that the diamonds were genocidal of intelligent life.

You are not wrong, but at least it wasn't "old white man" is bad for no reason, he had valid points and it was up to the gems and Steven to try to convince him in a non violent way.

When they just go and genocide planets on the regular and consider organic life exceptional. That's not even getting into the huge backspace (widely regarded non-canon) one of Sugar's lackey's did when the implication that the diamonds were genocidal of intelligent life.
I also wonder about gem society in the context of a vastly populated universe. I mean, most of their weapons seem to be made to subdue other gems and not organic life. Of course, gems would be more powerful than most organic lifeforms, but other space empires would have created weapons to deal with them. But I think it was the right call to keep things simple if they were not planning on a very long run and didn't had a big budget. Imagine how complicated things would have got if they introduced another sentient race.

Bruh, i really hope she will be delusional enough to make herself a meat sausage

I find it hilarious when people troon out and suddenly their entire life revolves around the fact that theyre trans. Being a tranny isnt a personality trait. Wasnt he in a zine made by lesbians for lesbians not that long ago? How do you suddenly go from being confidently a lesbian to being a trans man?

I still don't buy that. Just because Steven is based on her brother, doesn't mean she can just give Steven his ethnicity. Pink ethnically is a gem alien and I don't recall Greg or his family participating in any Jewish customs.
You're entitled to your opinion, but I feel it fair to remind you Greg's surname is "Demayo" but he had it legally changed to Universe. So maybe they're Jews, but the Jazz Jennings sort of Jew.

This has actually happened with other lesbians like Nowacking and Rhea Butcher. I guess being a lesbian is too mainstream so they went trans/non binary?

On one hand, the altar used for Ruby and Sapphire was based on a chuppah. On the other hand, Greg and Steven have eaten hotdogs and pepperoni pizza while Andy planned on giving Steven a salami for his birthday. So it’s kind of up to interpretation.
Hasn’t stopped Tumblrtards from making anti Semitic accusations to others though.

Arguing about Greg's Religion is the most autistic thing I have ever seen.

Edit : Plenty of Jews don't follow Kosher rules.
Here’s something that will really get the autism going; according to Sugar, religion doesn’t even exist in SU’s world, so that makes their Jewish connections even more ambiguous. For what it’s worth, Andy’s last name is a reference to the animation director from Gem Harvest more than anything else.
