but my confusion is the same as other’s; if it is the case that he had the date pushed back, how was a rescheduling done in advance with no public notice?

My question is does Khet even KNOW whats going on here? There's no way in hell she would be okay with something like missing a court meeting and playing hooky to go out running shopping errands unless of course, she actually doesn't care and is looking for an out, maybe?

Maybe I'll move speculations to the designated thread but holy shit. Imagine if he kept this whole thing in the dark to her so he could continue rackin up debt to spend on her just to keep her around because no way would she still stay with a man -500k in debt.

You think she has a lot of options? She wasn't exactly Victoria's Secret material on her wedding day and a diet of mashed potatoes and Taco Bell won't do a gold digger approaching her "best if used by" date any favors.

Like another poster said phil is in deep denial, he thinks he will get out of this fine and its just another bump in the road for the ultimate underdog. His honest brain knows how fucked he is but he lives in his delusional head 99% of the time. If he were honest with himself he would be lashing out and way angrier, but he lives in his own bubble and dodging this was because hes not even close to accepting how fucked he is even if he ends up getting the bankruptcy through.

I wonder if he's even told his parents about the bankruptcy proceedings.

Took a few weeks away from Phil, come back for his big day at court only to find out that he didn't even bother to show up! Holy shit, what a fucking coward. I shouldn't be surprised by anything Phil does at this point, but he always manages to find a way. He's putting this off for as long as possible because he doesn't want to face the consequences. Nothing can happen to him if he keeps putting it off, dood! He should be taking this seriously and be on it, instead he's being his usual lazy, delusional self. I really hope the hammer gets dropped on him.

The more I think about it the more I think Khet's the detractor here. What could be more important than a court-ordered hearing? Saving his marriage. He told her and she flew off the handle, d00d, he had to stop her from running right out the door. It's not fair they're trying to ask him unnervingly precise questions about his business expenses, he was delayed in the service of true love, d00d!

Does this mean he'll have to pay more for his lawyer, due to the re-scheduling? Assuming he no-showed without warning.

What if he didnt show up because he saw so many people at the courthouse, and he thought all those people were trolls, so he bailed thinking it was an army of trolls going to attack him? But in fact it was just lawyers, civilians, and other non-detractor people just going to work.

I wouldnt be surprised since he is so paranoid about us detractors. Remember when DSP said we were going to invade his home when he got married....oh wait it was just all of us making up funny gay op stories, like going into his house via the sewers lmao

Given his substantial income, if he was willing to sell his house and his Condo, then the appreciation in the value of his house would cover a substantial amount of the total debt. Not everything, he would probably owe $40-50k. However, on Phil's income this is a manageable amount of debt. Pay off the unsecured loans first.

The primary issue will be that he is not going to have the credit to get another mortgage, so he will probably have to rent. This could be a blessing or a curse, he won't run the risk of negative equity, but price appreciation won't be there to save him next time.

That's my prediction anyway, they will be forced to downsize, which is something Phil should have done years ago.
