Ohio finally got the test kits. Timon, help me out here.

Thank you. Go back to your pig of a boyfriend now.

Five are being tested. Ohio's time in the 0 confirmed zone draws to an end. It was fun while it lasted.

That's it.

I want off the ride.
The bats got real fucking tired of all the Chinks trying to eat them so they unleashed a plague on their country. And when those slanty eyed bastards started to recover the bats came back for seconds. Any enemy of the Red Chinese is a friend of mine.
Which european nation not named Italy will hit hardest? USA will be the hardest hit in the new world, because America is number one at everything.
USA!!! USA!!! USA!!!

It is time to recall all our troops. They will all be needed here in 2-3 weeks when the government starts shutting down areas of the USA, and people refuse to accept the quarantines. That Virus has 8 weeks until the end of the Flu Season to do it's worst (will still spread...), and 7 weeks in this country with it's movement of peoples assures success.

Silly to lock down neighbors, nowadays no one talks to neighbors, just grab the van and drive to the shopping center. Big tourist ships and walmart TP wars might be better targets for quarentine and enforcement response.

Looking at the story, the local NKVD eventually relented and let people come and go.

Just returned from the usual Saturday trip to the commissary. Some shortages of certain brands of bottled water, but others readily available. Little medium-grain rice, but saw two pallets of jasmine rice, which we don't eat. Shortage of many Asian products. Most of the smaller packages of toilet paper were gone, but plenty of the larger packages of TP. Didn't look at hand sanitizer since we wash our hands. Otherwise, plenty available.

You do realise that these videos are a load of shit right? They're not related to Corona Virus whatsoever.
It's Corona Virus. It may be novel/new, in the sense of it's strand, but it's not some new thing outright, people know how corona virus behaves.

Jesus christ everyone is being so autistic.... maybe the world should be cleansed.

More autism.

Not true. There have been numerous videos of collapse and seizures related to COVID-19. It’s not just any coronavirus. It is a highly infectious and invasive form of SARS, the big daddy of all coronaviruses.

I was following the “Harry Chen” Twitter with the juiciest leaks. There were a lot of these collapses and seizures.

The first vid shows the sheer number of ambulances involved in all this:

The collapses are so well-documented at this point, they’re basically a confirmed feature of the disease.

Again, my list of papers goes over this neuroinvasive potential of SARS coronaviruses in great detail.

Infection of humans with the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) results in substantial morbidity and mortality, with death resulting primarily from respiratory failure. While the lungs are the major site of infection, the brain is also infected in some patients. Brain infection may result in long-term neurological sequelae, but little is known about the pathogenesis of SARS-CoV in this organ. We previously showed that the brain was a major target organ for infection in mice that are transgenic for the SARS-CoV receptor (human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2). Herein, we use these mice to show that virus enters the brain primarily via the olfactory bulb, and infection results in rapid, transneuronal spread to connected areas of the brain. This extensive neuronal infection is the main cause of death because intracranial inoculation with low doses of virus results in a uniformly lethal disease even though little infection is detected in the lungs. Death of the animal likely results from dysfunction and/or death of infected neurons, especially those located in cardiorespiratory centers in the medulla. Remarkably, the virus induces minimal cellular infiltration in the brain. Our results show that neurons are a highly susceptible target for SARS-CoV and that only the absence of the host cell receptor prevents severe murine brain disease.

Transgenic hACE2 mice are mice that have been modified to have human ACE2 receptors on their cells, making them vulnerable to SARS in the same way we are. When the virus is introduced to them, it eats their brain, especially the medulla.

He showed the usualsymptoms of SARS--fever, chills, headache, muscle pain--but afterhospitalization, he developed vision problems, then progressively worsecentral nervous system symptoms, like restlessness and delirium. Acomputed tomography scan indicated brain damage. He died about a monthafter being hospitalized, and his brain tissue was examined and foundto contain the SARS coronavirus. The researchers also discovered a highlevel of Mig, a type of immune system regulator called a chemokine, inthe man’s bloodstream and brain, which may have resulted from thecentral nervous system infection. The researchers speculated that Migcould also have contributed to his brain damage by attractingimmunological cells to the site of the viral infection in the brain, where their inflammatory effects may have done more harm than good.

Victims of the 2003 SARS outbreak had a great deal of CNS infiltration by the virus.

The most characteristic symptom of COVID-19 patients is respiratory distress, and most of the patients admitted to the intensive care could not breathe spontaneously. Additionally, some COVID-19 patients also showed neurologic signs such as headache, nausea and vomiting. Increasing evidence shows that coronavriruses are not always confined to the respiratory tract and that they may also invade the central nervous system inducing neurological diseases. The infection of SARS-CoV has been reported in the brains from both patients and experimental animals, where the brainstem was heavily infected. Furthermore, some coronaviruses have been demonstrated able to spread via a synapse-connected route to the medullary cardiorespiratory center from the mechano- and chemoreceptors in the lung and lower respiratory airways. In light of the high similarity between SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV2, it is quite likely that the potential invasion of SARS-CoV2 is partially responsible for the acute respiratory failure of COVID-19 patients. Awareness of this will have important guiding significance for the prevention and treatment of the SARS-CoV-2- induced respiratory failure.

There is a high degree of gene sequence homology between SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2, meaning there is a strong possibility of many shared features between these two pathogens. Both seem to be capable of attacking the brain stem and/or causing cerebrovascular issues.

Remember, SARS-CoV-2 is basically just a version of SARS-CoV that is vastly more efficient at fusing with human cells.

Which european nation not named Italy will hit hardest? USA will be the hardest hit in the new world, because America is number one at everything.

Spain will be the only mainland europe nation using semi-accurate testing (hell we're the only ones that bothered testing the already dead) so numerically it'll be officially us.

In reality though? The question would be how you measure it. In terms of deaths per capita, I expect the balkans to slowly but surely start rising in cases, and I doubt most of their systems can handle it, specially after what I researched after our hungarian kiwis prompted me to, so unless a medicine is found before they start collapsing I expect them to go to shit. Kiwis from those areas please check my prior posts for my recommendation.

Note: I don't count Turkey as european. If you do, then those guys will get assraped harder than anyone else by a lot, but we'll never see the official numbers.

Italy will get Wuhan 2.0 update:

A Rumor from a buddy who is a Federal Policeman:
At 4 in the morning they will potentially lock down North-Rhine-Westphalia.

Stop. Coronavirus will not make everyone collapse in the street, eat their brain, their heart or their balls. Most people will get over it. It is bad because it is new, no one has immunity to it and if you're sick or have an underlying condition it can be very bad. The flu can be very bad for people with prexisting conditions. People get necrotising fasciitis from having minor cuts. People die from eating food with ecoli in it. You don't look smart and you aren't adding anything to this conversation that hasn't been posted earlier.

Folks, no need to get upset or get into a pissing contest with certain people. They are trolling. Just put them on ignore.

I shouldn't have to say this, but. This guy is retarded and has been shitting up the thread with him misunderstanding, and posting nonsense for the past couple of days.

Just ignore him.

Well then, let me refresh your memory.

His English is pretty bad and possibly machine-translated, so let me help with the translation.
  • The reported deaths from Coronavirus in China are only those where people collapsed in the street and died instantly from symptoms akin to viral encephalitis. They had seizures and could not breathe because the autonomic functions of the cardiorespiratory centers in the medullas of their brains were destroyed. The official death figure does not include deaths from pneumonia.
  • Every day, the PLA removes (from Huoshenshan "Hospital" alone, I would assume) between 200 to 400 patients with pneumonia who are not seen again. In all likelihood, their condition was fatal. It's not a hospital. It's a holding facility. It's a death camp. There is nothing they can do for these people because they don't have enough ventilators for this many people with pneumonia. They would need, basically, thousands of ventilators. This figure of presumed deceased may not include the hundreds of others who may be dying of pneumonia in other facilities. Remember, China was building 19 more of these makeshift hospitals.
  • Sudden death from fever is 30% of cases.
  • They're only diagnosing 5 to 10% of cases.
  • Army and party officials have higher survival rates because they're being tended to by PLA doctors who are very well-equipped.
  • Of those who have recovered, less than 50% are Chinese. In China.
  • They're no longer treating those with pneumonia. They're just removing them and presumably cremating them immediately. They're not letting their families see them, either.
  • The water supply is contaminated and only distilled or bottled water is safe. The virus can live in bodies of water for 14 days. There is a possibility that the outflow of the Yangtze to the sea is contaminated with the virus.
  • Of those who recover, 30% get reinfected within 2 weeks. The mortality rate doubles for this cohort.
So, basically, there could have been 2000+ who collapsed and died with neurological symptoms in China, and tens of thousands who died of pneumonia.

The reports from China indicated that crematoriums were running full-blast for weeks, cremating, oh, maybe 1200 people a day in Wuhan. One crematorium reported cremating 100 to 200 a day, and there are several, all working 24/7, full-blast:

As if that wasn't enough, they dragged in more cremating machines.

So, yes, the collapse from CNS infiltration is a relatively rare complication, but it's only rare in the context of tens of thousands of people dying of pneumonia, and potentially millions being sickened in China so far.

I agree, let’s go back to harrowing tales of the status of TP at the local grocery store or yarns about their brother’s girlfriend’s cousin’s dog groomer that believes everything WHO says.
