...uh... what does Australian politics have to do with an international epidemic? and its not just australians doing it either.
What the fuck is this whore on about?
So what should Scott do? Give everyone free butthole paper and noodles? It's not just the Australians. It's been happening across the fucking planet.
I guess if Americans do it, it's Trump's fault. If Bongs do it, then reeee Brexit.

I'm pretty sure she'd be called a horsefaced sheepfucker if it was aus/pol/, or it's just an unfortunate hashtag.

It's also funny because I've witnessed panic buying toilet paper myself, and I live in a Liberal area. So is this thot suggesting that we don't trust our own party leaders?

Someone give her the virus so she can shut the fuck up.

Time for some horrible news.
Henan province has a record of 12 days without any new patients diagnosed with Coronachan, city of Zhenzhou is at 19 days.
This is all about to change because of one "super carrier" named 郭偉鵬 (Guo Weipeng, I'll call him Guo, or whatever chink racial slur that spurs into my mind).

This guy has been travelling all over the fucking planet to spread the virus. No, not China, the planet. He has so much disposable income it seems. He has now been arrested by the officials of Zhenzhou.
View attachment 1182893
So 1st of March to the 10th, in the short span on 7 days, he took the plane 6 times and high speed rail twice.
Zhenzhou > Beijing 690km
Beijing > Abu Dhabi 6000km
Abu Dhabi > Milan/Milano (Italian city) 4600km
Milan > Paris 640km
Paris > Milan 640km
Milan > Abu Dhabi 4600km
Abu Dhabi > Beijing 6000km
Beijing > Zhenzhou 690km
So basically, this chink took a massive detour to Paris from Zhenzhou and back to Zhenzhou, in the short span of 7 days, he travelled 24,000km, or half of the fucking globe.

The author comments "one city a day, is this guy fucking human? He flies better than a bat."
So the head of the police department speculates on this route, maybe it's because plane tickets are cheap and he's there to see whatever gayass ball-related sporting shit, to which he contacted the virus, in Italy.

He knows he got the virus, and yet chose to fly back to China using this autistically laborious route, potentially exposing thousands of people across the globe to the virus.
So what does he do when it carries the Italiano flavoured coronachan back into China, after showering it on different cities? He starts to hide the virus and roams the city.
View attachment 1182899
This is basically his routine on the 9th. Circulating the city, and buying some bullshit TCM junk, whatever roots of some dumb plant.
The police called him and asked if he's been outside of China to which he denies, called his mum and was met with the same denial. Seems like lying is pathological in his family.

The police got worried and decided to pay this slant-eyed bat a visit, he was covered in sweat coughing, claims it's due to the TCM rubbish he's been eating.
View attachment 1182900
So let's see. The company he works at is now back offline. The entire building is now quarantined. 24 people who had close contact with this slant are now quarantined. However, the people who contacted this bastard in Beijing and obvious abroad is unknown.

Here's the guy:

Lots of non-cursing colloquial slang plastered on this thing's face. He's being called "Virus king of Zhenzhou".

The same goes with that 2 families, 8 people that returned from Italy:

So yeah, watching some stupid niggers and white trash play with balls is more important than global health.

The post then talks about how the wuflu is a combination of SARS and AIDS, as it will attack one's immunity system and lungs. It then ends with paying respects to the deceased.

Another 6 returned from Italy and was diagnosed with the virus that they knew they had:

They worked at some Italian restaurant, broke the law to fly back and will be punished, hopefully.

Here's people voicing their anger:
View attachment 1182913
"Use some war-time laws, execute him! Put your hands up if you agree!"
"Please share this to raise awareness, hope people from Zhenzhou learn about his movements and protect themselves".
"Does Beijing airport not test people returning? It's scary if true!"
"I heard they are serious about it, but some dodge it by eating fever suppressing medicine"
"Why wasn't he registered after arriving at Beijing, and traced?"
"Guo you virus king, you wanna kill everyone in Henan, is that what makes you happy? Prosecute him, we must do it! Get his entire family prosecuted!"
"What are the virus prevention people doing, he should have been quarantined the moment he got off the plane, there's exploits that must be fixed"

I hope he eats a bullet. 1.4 billion - 1 = 1.4 billion. There's enough to execute.

Edit: Apparently this guy is also a law enforcement professional. Maybe a cop or something. Nice... very nice.
if I were a conspiratorial person, I'd suggest that this is a convenient way of China explaining illness of a "contained" virus.
yep, "not our fault, we contained it, it's this guy's fault."

I think the funniest is people panic buying giant 25 and 50 lb bags of rice, even though they maybe eat rice once a month. Like, if you would never eat this normally, why would you buy enough for a Japanese family to stay supplied for weeks? At least think a tiny bit about your purchases.

Out of solidarity with the East-Asian shut-ins?

I am kidding. Actually you are right. This is not a particularly rational response. There is a lot you can do with rice but in general westerners would be wiser to stock up on canned goods, especially familiar foods like soups.

If you are a genuine quarantine situation then rice is useful to "bulk up" soups so that you don't have to go out for fresh bread. But no you do not need massive quantities of it.

I would also stock up on canned beans. But make sure that you rinse them well. And wrapped cheese like string cheese.

Just my opinion. In general foods like that bulk up ordinary meals, it makes your food dollars last longer.

Contained virus?
As far as I know, it's only the dipshits at Hubei calling it "contained" back when it first surfaced, nobody in the rest of the country and the world believes them. Maybe I missed some kind of major article? If China now claims it's contained, then they are lying. It's in a downward trend but that's China only.

It's pretty obvious that someone carried the virus to Italy from China, or whatever route with China being the starting point. Nothing is contained.

Also, it's a good thing that the virus is now at least controlled in China. Not contained, controlled. The virus is controlled.
50% of masks are among many other sanitary items that are made in China. Now that China is kind of back to work, masks can be produced for the world.

I've been sick for like over a month and was told I had bronchitis a while back. I haven't been sleeping much/eating well because I've been catching up on work, so I guess that doesn't help. It def used to be worse but I still have a consistent low-grade fever & a cough.

Call your doctor and explain your symptoms. It will ease your anxiety and they will tell you if you need to go to the ER.

Upper respiratory stuff can hang on for a long while, unfortunately. It's important you get lots of rest and drink those fluids. If you have to do something, make sure it's relaxing and low-stress. Watch a funny movie, read a good book, take a long nap. Only work if you absolutely have to, and even then do it in small spurts in between resting. The more you push yourself the longer the illness will stick around. Source: been there, done that.

Not a doctor, but I'm old enough to have gone through a lot of illnesses. It sucks to feel awful for so long, but you shouldn't go to the hospital unless it's an emergency.

I was talking with a couple of Chinese nationals just yesterday who were claiming that in China they pretty much got it contained to Wuhan. And Chinese people in the US tend to be more skeptical of China than Chinese people living in China.

Weld enough entry gates to apartment buildings shut, run a fleet of mobile crematoriums 24x7, and we'd have it under control too.

Thank you to their glorious leader Xi for the shining example.

Hungarian goverment is starting to freak out after the opposition has been freaking out for some time.

Media somewhat nervous, local population still utterly sure that it can not hurt whites. Italians are considered browns here.

15 confirmed cases, mostly Iranians students under police enforced quarantine. Muslims scum of course tried to escape the hospital.

National emergency declared country wide, not seen since the fall of the previous ruling Union.
Ban on large gatherings (100 indours, 500 outdoors) and universities, cinemas and the snob favourites, theatres.

Elementary and High schools are still open and will remain so unless a child gets sick or further developments of such nature. This is expected to happen in a week or two.

Reasoning is that the virus appears less dangerous to kids, they would have to repeat the school year, they would go outdoors if sent home.

Religious ceremonies are not yet banned, but like schools this is expected to change when the situation gets worse.

The article is autistically worded, and either Schengen is suspended, or it is suspended towards Slovenia and Austria. (It states that Schengen is suspended including Austria and Slovenia too.) Another article cleared it up, only Italy and Slovenia effected.

Also, no Chinese, Iranians or Italians allowed into Hungary. Hungarians returning get the 2 week quarantine.
They are also watching for roundabout ways like China-France-Hungary or Italy-Austria-Hungary routes.

Politically, Orban loves sports and economy, especially the taxes it makes.
But he always had a good sense as to what to do in emergencies, he reacted first to the migrants too. He already said that the economy will take a solid hit, so I hope he is trying to prep people for tough measures.

Also please take the bread recipes to the cooking thread. Plus rice lasts way longer than flour and is less appetising to mice and most bugs.

Time to rant! Situation in spain shit the bed. If you are in madrid GET THE FUCK OUT NOW. No it's not 'cause corona you need to get out 'cause the mayor's an idiot!

So after Sanchez shat the bed by backstabbing Italy and the populace reacted by rightfully calling him the spineless traitor he is the PSOE has gone full fearmonger to try to save face, and now they say they want to quarantine madrid, completely, from land and air. Further the right has decided to fearmonger even harder, because god forbid we don't have a dick measuring contest for once. For once however the right isn't dangerous, they're creating a needless panic but not actually taking any actions for real so they're areas are fine outside of the doompreppers. On the good side, now the business council has pretty much been told to shut the fuck up and sit on the corner with the dunce cap so hey that's one less source of annoyance for us.

Yeah, remember when I wondered what kinda parallel universe had I woken up in where the political caste didn't suck? We'll seems I woke up in my usual universe this time. Kinda hoping I can go back to that one, things weren't shit in that universe, I liked that.

Anyway. Thing with madrid is, as I explained before, they are the one part of spain that can actually hurt if it escalates. Their air is bad, their density excessive, and their traffic stressing as fuck because while other cities have roundabouts madrid is a roundabout with a city in it... I'm not kidding btw to solve its shit ass circulation they built the M30, a giant roundabout highway surrounding the city all traffic comes from and diverts to. Which has helped the time it takes to get to places but also exhacerbated the number of accidents and stress epidemic, and as someone who lived there for a time I can see why, the idea of "giant highway roundabout around the city" should not need to be developped to know why it sucks!

Anyway, point is, they're surrounded by rural areas with reinforced healthcare systems. The prior idea to send non emergencies there was the right one, it made sense, it worked and even if an outbreak happens it's much easier to cordon anywhere else, spain is low density, we can stop villages much more easily. Now you'd think that since the idea is good, has been shown to qork in the past. It's part of the protocol and is the only way to save the most lives the government would just keep doing it. Well we'll have to see! I know for a fact the ISCIII is begging them to not be morons and not quarantine the city. But the PSOE ARE morons, that's their defining trait. So if you're on madrid, take vacations now. I'll update with wether or not they actually do it. The south is still great and I still recomend coming here. Shit's smooth as always. That's precisely why screwing over the areas that can't take it is so moronic. A little solidarity goes a long way. We were raised under that principle. Seems our politicians weren't. And I find that fact disgusting. Specially when the actual spread of corona hasn't worsened at all, in fact in the northern outbreak it's gotten relatively better (still growing but more slowly than expected), so they're just doommongering and going full moron to try and save face because they realized that, as I told you before, spaniards don't stand by when people need help. And we don't take kindly when our government forces us to. And now they need an excuse.

Van Badham whinges for The Guardian Australia as an opinion columnist.

I don't really need to explain shit beyond that.

Cases in Denmark up to 442 today from 282 yesterday. Still doing very limited testing, so this is either a sign that we're really good at finding the ones who have been infected or its a lot worse than the numbers indicate. Either way our government is being embarrassingly slow at doing anything so I'm only expecting it to accelerate from here.

Can confirm, this is good advice. Also take extra vitamin D if you aren't already. I think it works better at helping fight off illness than vitamin C, and we all know how much that gets pushed.

I'd argue rice is a good staple anyway. It lasts forever, it's cheap as fuck, and if you get the enriched kind it has a good amount of nutrients. It's a good replacement for something like bread in your diet, which doesn't have a very long shelf life. see also: dry pasta.

tbh I'm not sure how can you not like rice anyway, it barely has a flavor. but pro-tip if you somehow don't like rice: try cooking it in a broth or curry powder, so it absorbs it while it cooks.
(disclaimer: i might be biased because I love rice, idk)

For a world running on UberEats, rice and dry pasta are still manageable. Water, heat, mix in one or two more ingredients.
Meal requires you to know what to do a lot more, and for many people now is not the time to start a magical cooking adventure.
Sounds to me like we need to go on the deepest of dives into Kay's Cooking. For survival education.

It's probably their Chinglish.

The virus isn't contained at all. Hubei (not Wuhan) and Zhejiang are the two biggest hotspots. If they think contained means "the majority falls under", then that's right in the "Chinese" sense, they are right. However that's not English.

Contained and controlled both synonymously mean "控制" in Chinese. However, the two aren't always exchangeable in the English language. It can lead to confusion.
The better Chinese phrase for the virus being mostly "contained to" a specific location in the physical sense would be something longer and more precise, such as "絕大部分患者都在湖北省 [most patients are in Hubei Province]".

The way you put it makes me think of contain in a physical sense, since it's followed by a location. Wuhan or otherwise, the virus is under control in China and only China. Those FOBs either wanted to say most patients are in Wuhan or the virus is under control "even in Wuhan, where it's the most severe" therefore...

1583946208321.png

He could not control his anger.
He could not contain his anger.

The virus is controlled.
The virus is contained.
I think this causes unnecessary confusion, as get different meanings out of the last two.

I wouldn't say they are strictly wrong... non-native speakers of English (grammatically wrong, should be "the English language") do have better grammarrr.
Even if we give them that, then the virus is really only "contained/controlled" in China. It's pretty much out of hand when it comes to the rest of the fucking world. China has been fighting this virus for 2 months, it takes time to control a virus like this.

Additionally, even if it's controlled, there's always people that slip through... ie my longer post up there.

Rice is also cheap as fuck, which is important if the kiwi is not a first world kiwi. Do not sperg about taste. This is not about the culinary arts, but sustaining oneself in an emergency.

Rise in cases in the UK for the second time now
