Chris's excuses for being unemployed / pretending to be overworked megathread

This thread is making me extremely sad, but really opening my eyes that there is a certain point where mental illness and shit completely takes over your life, and you have no choice but to slowly rot and die and never gain the humbleness to accept help from others. I think Chris is really fucked in a sense towards the point where it's not really him anymore, it's his deterioration in his mind that's in full control, leeching off his brain like a parasite, and any semblance of autonomy and self is completely on auto-pilot at this point.

It has taken a toll on me to watch Chris degenerate from a spry and horny young lad to the slow-in-the-minds that he detests.

Its funny how Bob was a successful engineer who had two kids both who became Doctors and accomplished something then there is Chris. Chris has at no point needed to accomplish anything, he never knew discipline. Because of this I genuinely believe he feels overworked. The furthest I've ever gone is because I was pushed past what I thought was my limit.

Bob came from poverty in a household with 4+ children. He was also drafted into the military. Then you have his fascination with collecting. He’s not dissimilar from his son in that regard, the major difference being that Barb was present and Chris was basically left to be raised by TV, toys, and the internet. Of course he’d never want to work hard; he already lives (well, before Bob died) a comfortable lifestyle where he gets everything he wants, from both Barb/Bob and his followers. He’ll only do something if his livelihood is in jeopardy, and even then he’ll expect others to do all the heavy lifting for him like The Captain or whoever made him tell Sockness to go back home.

Barb was not a good wife nor was she a good homemaker or mother. And neither Bob nor Barb were young or motivated enough to take care of another child, let alone an autistic one like Chris especially during a time when resources and accurate information for families of autists were barely emerging. However there are many examples of people with autism who are around his age and doing much better than him, even ones who seem like they are ultimately lower-functioning at base level. Chris is and has been low-functioning because his parents didn't put any effort into his socioemotional development which is the most important aspect for a child with autism- they did exactly what should never be done and gave him whatever he wanted, defended him even when he was legally wrong, never challenged him, bought his friends, neglected guiding him through his emerging sexuality and what is and isn't appropriate, and basically left him to his own devices. He was shacked up in his autism den, which itself was housed inside a filthy and cluttered hoard controlled by a mentally ill narcissist, for the entirety of his young life. This would affect any child negatively but children who aren't re.tarded have a little more wherewithal and resilience which can aid them should they decide to clean up their act as adults. Chris is definitely to blame for a lot of his problems but he was totally failed by the system and by his parents. He obviously wasn't so far along the spectrum that he was non verbal and chimping out like a wild flabby ape every two seconds. He had some potential which is why Chris-Chan is such a sad example of what not to do with a disabled kid, especially now that he is a basket case troon with no idea where reality stops and Cwcville begins.

How fucked must there house be? I know it’s always been a pigsty but with Chris being so “overworked” you know none of that includes maintains the house and babz needs a zimmerframe to take a shit so she ent cleaning up shit.

He's pulled weeds you know. But seriously, 14 BC is still pretty fucked up. They had a second chance after the fire, but unfortunately those two horded it up again, in addition to getting dogs that aren't trained. I think the most Chris done is just moved boxes to his old room. Everything else is still the same.

For people speculating on Chris' tugboat, perhaps a little clarity would help here.
Yes, he might see a minor increase in his tugboat when Barb dies. MIGHT. The reason being is that if someone else is sharing your expenses they'll actually lower how much you get paid, whereas if you're on your own completely they'll give you slightly more.
SLIGHTLY more.
With SSI, it only matters if you're paying the majority of housing expenses, not who you live with. I'm not sure if Barb still is, if so, then he'd be getting like 2/3 of max SSI. I know Chris is on SSDI, I have no idea if that works differently.

Also, as I always say about this, getting a job is the worst thing Chris can do at this point. The time for him to maybe see if employment and getting acclimated to society passed like 15 years ago. Now, it would only endanger his SSDI which is foolish, with the best being that he works and gets absolutely nothing out of it since his paycheck would be taken out of his SSDI.

Autism sucks. Powerlevel TMI ratings, I have it and am on SSI. There's good reason why I can't work. I piss everyone off with how socially retarded I am. I don't recognize when I'm behaving improperly. I've tried being the mute guy in the backroom typing on a computer, I still piss everyone off. Chris is even worse with his dilapidated current state. He belongs on disability and quarantined from society.

I want to rate as agree and power level. Damn it Null, make dual ratings a thing.

In the end, Chris wants everything this way, or at least it is his own fault.

Be careful ye who fight demons, lest ye become one.
Chris was always a "slow-in-the-mind".

There's good reason why I can't work.
Yeah, keep telling that yourself.

I agree, the best reason for Chris‘s continued unemployment is that a boss can instead hire literally anyone other than Chris.

One quick internet search is all it takes. Everybody gets searched, I just assume that. Input his name and BAM! do you really want to hire a drama bomb waiting to happen? Nope, next.
