We need more diversity in a possible world ending virus reaction team. Not the most qualified. If we're all going to die then goddammit lets be equal. BTW my state medical adviser is a troon. Very professional though, can't blame her for that.

Saddled in-between that there are a few religious nut cases who act concerned about the virus but still go to a crowded church and post bible excerpts complaining when people make fun of their religion.

I miss the first wave days that is where I learned the most and had the more interesting people posting good information now I got to slog through like 50-100 posts every time I log on to get to the good posts in the middle.

Understandable, because things are happening more and more quickly now. Likely to be that way for a while. I don't try to read every prior post when coming in for the day, maybe a page or two before. All that can really be done.

Absolutely it's better than nothing! It does need a bit of training, though. And oxygen.

Yesterday I raised the question of a thread for providing advice beyond merely telling people to buy lots of beans or whatever, relating to how one can survive in a pandemic where there basically is no longer a functioning medical system. I think there was only one good, pertinent response relating to positioning one's bed, practicing deep deliberate coughing, etc.

Have you seen the Facebook group, BTW? Please tell me what you think of it. It's linked in my post history a few posts back.

italy's numbers:

1328 serious
1439 recovered
that's almost the same death to recovered. holy fucking shit, it's basically fucking ebola except it's now spread globally and there's no way to stop it and we're still in the early phase where hospitals and medicine exists. once shit get's really bad the hospitals will be filled and medicine will run out then the deaths will be even higher.
