Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Been wearing disposable gloves at my work place now. I don't care if it won't kill me, I'm not getting this shit and spreading it to my loved ones.
I work with the elderly and I’m super scared of spreading it to those people. As precaution, I’ve been washing my hands all the time. I hope you’re doing okay. Just remember to not stress yourself out too much.

Not too much. I can't not worry, but I'm just doing what I can to prevent getting infected and trying to relax. Got the gloves for when I handle cash and receipts, I have a big fuckoff bottle of sanitizer I use about once an hour and after taking the gloves off. And that's just my personal initiative. The place I work at is mandating everyone hose down and swab the desk at the start and end of their shift. Houskeeping loaned us a bottle of their heavy-duty shit for that.

To play devil's advocate for the normies for but a moment, I can't exactly blame them for initially scoffing about corona. There's been what, half a dozen false alarm pandemic scares over the past couple decades or so where something seemed like it was going to be the next black plague but didn't even get halfway close (at least on a global scale)? That and as it has been discussed, people haven't had to deal with a tragedy of this magnitude since 9/11, so the populace is soft, cushy and generally not used to hardship. And that's even before factoring in the media brainwashing everyone with "It's just the flu" up until less than a week ago.

So while the stupidity on worldwide display is inexcusable, let us take a moment to remember the reasons why that is.

The evolution of this thread is fucking hilarious of people showing up in waves.

First Wave: People following this situation since day 1, Posting lots of ground zero footage and reports on Chinese quarantine and lockdown response with solid scientific information being posted.

Second Wave: Doomsday preppers of all sorts some big some small sharing tips on recipes and what kinda stuff they need to stock up on some even bragging about how they were gonna be the next survivorman hunter with their stockpile of guns and ammo while having little to no experience actually hunting anything outside of KF reaction score. Lots of vids posted about panic buyers. This wave of posters cluttered the fuck out of the thread.

Third Wave The Current One: Lots of new accounts from people whom never posted in this thread talking about the inconvenience of the virus, Super political cock measuring about Trump either doing a good or a bad job. Saddled in-between that there are a few religious nut cases who act concerned about the virus but still go to a crowded church and post bible excerpts complaining when people make fun of their religion.

I miss the first wave days that is where I learned the most and had the more interesting people posting good information now I got to slog through like 50-100 posts every time I log on to get to the good posts in the middle.
Lol damn, I didn't even realize that it wasn't even until page 97 that I first posted in here.

Remember how a church started South Korea's outbreak? Ohio has an exception for religious services in their mass gatherings ban.

What could pawsibly go wrong?!

The best thing any church could do, is just conduct services via livestream.

Wonder if anyone else feels the same about this -

I just can't find myself to have any sympathy for normies complaining about the hoarding on toilet paper.

These assholes were the same idiots we tried telling a month ago that it would be smart to stock up early on supplies and ignored us and said, "lol, it's just a flu bro."

I'm seeing SO many comments of people bitching about the toilet paper hoarding, it's starting to piss me off. No fuck there's hoarding, it's because there's panic, and what did we warn two months ago? That the biggest threat wouldn't be the virus, it would be the people fighting over the last roll of toilet paper.

Tried to fucking warn you
Yep, same here, on social media, people are rolling ove the floor laughing at hoarders and i'm like, dude their reaction is only to be expected. What did y'all think was going to happen....

Also, my toiletpaper was used up anyways, I needed it. I can't be accused of panick buying.

I am just going to pile on because I am mad. I am mad on the internet. This disaster is entirely a creation of the CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY. Nobody here or anywhere should disabuse themselves of this. The fact that you need to hide in your home. That you are afraid for your children. That you are watching your retirement savings get nuked. It is all the fault of the CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY.

the CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY has fucked us. ALL OF US. they knew about this disease in December. Maybe even November. And what did they do? They put the doctors who sounded the alarm in Jail. When faced with this catastrophe they lied to themselves and the world until they could not lie anymore. And then they have the brass tacks to blame America for it. The sheer unmitigated nerve of these arrogant insects.

The CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY has brought a disaster into our very homes and we are told we need to turn the other cheek? For what reason? Fear of racism? Fear of upsetting the global order? That we cannot even call this epidemic what it is? The CHINESE CORONOVIRUS?

I am tired of listening to the propaganda from our communist journalists, and I am tired of the spineless ineptitude of western governments. This disaster was caused by CHINA. it is the CHINESE CORONAVIRUS. and it is as bad as it is because of the CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY.

And they need to pay for it.

We did it to ourselves. The only concern anyone has ever had about things made in China was "THEY TOOK AIR JOBS!" Well now they're taking our lives, and it's our own faults because we allowed our leaders to do it to us. We have been comfortable and fat.

We loved our cheap stuff and-- wait, there's lead in the paint on the toys? Ignore it. They're poisoning our pets? Ignore it. No ingredients list on this thing I'm taking internally? Ignore it. Animal testing? Ignore it. They eat and torture dogs and cats? Ignore it. They harvest organs from prisoners over there? Ignore it.

Supply line? What supply line? Who cares! This isn't WWII! Shut up with that stuff and don't make waves! Nothing will ever happen! MUH CHEAP STUFF!!! The world is laughing at us yet again because everyone loves to see the rich fat kid fall and spill his ice cream on the sidewalk. It was our own leaders, greed and complacency sticking out their foot to trip us.

A NEWBORN baby in England has tested positive for coronavirus — the world’s youngest victim.

The child’s mother had been rushed to a London hospital days earlier with suspected pneumonia.
Seems symptom severity is proportional to age, but in the case of a newborn I'd still be worried about him not pulling through. Those fuckers keel over about as easily as goldfish.

This is so messed up. I feel so sad for the child and his mother.
I hope these 2 will get better in the future.

Is vomiting one of the symptoms? I've been having a weird sore throat, no coughing, for the past couple of days and I'm hoping I just got normal sick instead of the meme disease.

Could go either way, really. Don't travel much but I live/work near some stupid motherfuckers. "Just clean more bro, he called a national emergency just for more funding lol"

Fuck bros I just want to stay home (:_(

That is a tabloid.

Aren't there manual ventilators? Like those blue bag things. Not that it's piratical but I would think family members would glady volunteer to manually pump there loved ones bag.

My immediate guess is that those would very quickly become de facto virus launchers

I mean theoretically, but since vomiting is one of the least common symptoms, and coughing and fever are the most common, you're a statistical anomaly if Corona-Chan is sitting on your face

Recently I heard from some studies a few days ago that children 's immunity system is very strong, unlike the old and already sick people' s immunity system.
It is, but newborn's lungs tend to be very poorly developed, so that's what would worry me.

Edit:
Respiratory infections have been known to influence cases of SIDS.

A newborn is believed to be the youngest person in the UK to have caught coronavirus.

Fuuuuuuck! I had heard on my local news that pregnant women and babies while at a slightly higher risk should be okay. I should have taken it with a grain of salt I suppose.

I give birth in two fuckin days and this scares me so much. The hospital I'm going to already is limiting guests I can have along with visiting hours, screening people before entry and seems to be taking good measures to protect people, but this doesn't help ease my anxiety.

Sorry for the TMI I just haven't seen any info about newborns or post partum mothers regarding Corona-chan until now and I've been kinda scared.

:(
