Yeah, I mean if you can't trust people who promote conspiracy theories about DA LIBS using airborne lasers to start fires, who can you trust? Trump proves his own quality of character and his ability to judge the character of others yet again.

The desert evergreens are still there because that kind survives fires, but look how the undergrowth is buned away because fires. I've lived in CA and Nevada, what is your point?

eta, noice blur on the "wreckage" so we can't discern if a granite coutertop was vaporized let alone existed in that arroyo.

Comobidity in Africa is a bitch though, they could be hiding numbers like others have:

Patient Diagnosis Cause of Death
Kwame M'busu COVID-19 Ate by lion
Mikwesa Ilunga COVID-19 Starved to death
they will stop testing after a few 100 cases because resources run out and they dont have hospital beds to begin with,

I'm terribly sorry if I'm late and gay to this, but has it already been discussed how India's numbers are, at the time of me writing this, so comparably low (332 infected and 5 deaths), while Italy and Spain for example are taking it in the ass, and not even in the Greek way?
I have spoken to several Indians about this over the past couple weeks, all Hindoos, and relatively liberal minded ones who do not support the BJP government.

Their opinion is that Modi's BJP is covering up the scale of the problem to avoid bad PR.

For myself? I doubt that. I think Modi, like his good buddy, is just relying on the lack of testing at scale, and the incredibly convoluted and corrupt bureaucracy of India, to obscure the problem. They don't need to conceal cases as long as they aren't confirmed.

My point is that if your President is depending on promoting tweets from submorons like this guy to further his goal (mitigating the fall of the Dow) then you have yourself a problem.

As if die hard Trump fans care what anyone says on Twitter. If Twitter disappeared tomorrow (inshallah) there would still be wackos hovering around Trump, it's what attention-seeking silly people do.

Total Worldwide confirmed cases 303.000
Total confirmed deaths 12 960

So today in the worst hit parts of the world Italy the worst hit and they reported record deaths of 796 as of 4pm GMT but it is most likely 800 at this point. Doctors dont know when it is stopping either and most of Europe is in lockdown but the numbers are getting worse. Germany are hiding the true numbers and not including deaths related to with comorbities. This is bad as no one can but only speculate how it will hit equivocal countries with similar demography e.g. Germany has a very similar ageing population to Italy as does the United Kingdom.

A doctor in the UK predicted that if prepared we will have 20.000 deaths which is good to an extent. However during this week several confessionals including this young woman went to twitter to warn younger people about Corona

Its pretty fucking bad and she can barely breath and her only issue was that she was a smoker. It is a hard watch to be frank.

The USA is starting to ramp up in deaths as Florida is also a write off considering they had spring breakers there also too in Australia. The US numbers even from a week are going to be bad as it is in all 50 states now and places like Texas are going to be hammered.

Africa is starting to get hit by it as the only continent with places left from what I can gather North Korea does not count LOL.

From what I can tell via the graphs;

We have an official 10% death rate and we are not even starting.

what a time to be alive.

Her only issue is that she's a smoker?

As if that isnt arguably the worst thing you can choose to do to your lungs. Even at just one a day they'll develop a smokers cough. It's literally the worst thing you can do to healthy lungs next to vaping and it's a decision the smoker made.

There is umpteenth evidence of the damage even casual smoking does to lungs out there. So saying she's just a smoker when it's a respiratory illness dosen't give it enough weight at all.

Edit; Also. It's around 4-5%. Not 10%. 4% of 303,000 is 12,120.

Trump is using his bully pulpit to promote misconstrued views of scientific studies to the population of feeble-minded people who actually believe he intends to accomplish his campaign promises. He is promoting the views of people who think it's a reasonable theory to suggest that the California wildfires were started by lasers from space (or 747s which haven't flown in almost a decade (or Predator drones)). He is promoting claims that only mentally handicapped people would believe, to the detriment of people who actually need hydroxychloroquine. Not even just regular grifters, but people who are actually friends with 'Baked Alaska'.

Do you think that perhaps people who actually could benefit from this drug, whether because it is an essential part of the treatment for their life-threatening conditions, or because it could be part of treatment when they do end up in hospital with coronavirus, should get priority access to it?

Trump doesn't.

>Italy has now officially more Corona-chan fatalities than Chyna

I'd be surprised if anyone, at least here, believes the official Chinese figures, because if you apply the American and Western European per capita infection/death rates to China, you'd interesting numbers to say the least.

Bayer donated millions of tablets, calm the fuck down.

The PP is in full blast blaming fernando simon for everything. I would be triggered but at this point I just feel deep seated disapointment. But let's ignore those dumbfucks, we got MEEEEEEEME RECAAAAAAP:

First one needs no explanation.

Second one. It's a roulette labeled "plans for the weekend", with a lot of different tipical plans (cinema, park, etc), the one at the bottom says "staying home."

And thirdly we got the president of spain here proclaiming that indeed Infidelity has diminished by 99.9%, and adding "always bitching about everything, damnit." (Obviously this quote is fake news.)
IMG-20200321-WA0020.jpg

Also here's a link to the caravan of emergency vwhicles stopping to pay respects on the hospital's doorstep. The one I mentioned some coments ago.
And now for not-so-memes. First up, a cop doing the round along the Plaza San Antonio of cadiz (capital) who decided to record it to show it's empty so people can know indeed we're all doing our part. Ending proclaiming he's proud of cadiz and its population. Semper fi!

And last but not least. I told you today the packages of aid finally arived. Well they indeed just got to the hospitals (I warned you when they got to the province level). And the hospitals one by one warned us when they finished recieving and organizing the packages (the "all's clear" so to speak), the hospitals all (without my knowledge dunno who organized it or when but I witnessed the result) decided to all use the same image. So first up the translation: PPE in spanish is writen EPI, hence the text says "first package of PPEs arived", Epi is also the name of the spanish version of a little someone you might recognize.

Usually when I say "welcome to spain" it's to point out our absurdities in a slightly sarcastic way. But let me say, for the first time in my life unironically, welcome to spain.

The second one looks like he is dying of constipation in that photo.
To be fair, he always looked like he was dying of constipation.

While on my travels today I found a couple of articles on this blog. I am referring them on mostly for archivers and time line addicts since, while I am unsure of and don't entirely endorse this person's reasoning or conclusions, there are a multitude of embedded links that may flesh timelines out, in particular the suspected peregrinations of our intrepid chinese spies microbiologists in the US and Canada.

Thanks for this; lots of stuff in here that hadn't yet been archived anywhere. Just for the sake of the record, I'm including a list of newly archived pages from that particular rabbit hole. This is just indiscriminate archival of anything/everything that could be archived and wasn't already.

Another pass, either by myself or someone else, will be needed to determine what's useful at present and what isn't. For now this is just a grab bag of preprints, WuFlu-related articles of various types, and reddit/twitter posts.

This stuff is of varying ages and degrees of importance, but it wasn't archived yet and sometimes you don't have anything more productive to do with your time besides archive shit.

This link used to point to an article being used to support the assertion that "although the Wuhan Strain’s spike-protein genome differs from SARS in four out of the five most important genomic spots that determine binding to the ACE2 receptor, they surprisingly don’t effect the protein-spike’s shape." The link currently returns 502 Bad Gateway for me, and neither the Wayback Machine nor archive.li appear to have any saved snapshots from this url. :c

A lot of this reddit video looks like stuff we've already seen, but I'm archiving and backing up video just for the sake of autism completeness.

In State of Alabama chinkypox news, there are currently 131 confirmed cases across the state. So far the state has officially tested 1,258 people. There are no deaths yet. Jefferson County currently leads the numbers race with 61 cases. That's up from 50 yesterday, and 34 the previous day. For comparison, the next highest number of cases is Shelby County with 16. Jefferson County is the most populous county in the state, and home to Birmingham - the state's most populous city. Birmingham is mostly known for two things: steel production and medical research. About three-quarters black (many of them poor), and a humid subtropical climate. Buckle up, Bama.

Time for a break. I'm starting to see puzzle pieces when I close my eyes.

Can somebody please enlighten as to the symptoms of bronchitis vs. COVID?

PL ... (stupid) but I have this full feeling in my chest when I lie down, but to the side, it feels tighter in both sides and near the trachea. It has been a sloshiness in lower lung, one side and the other. Moving around produces unproductive cough.

Called doc and she told me NOT to go anywhere unless I can't breathe and run a fever, because there ARE people at testing places who have it and can expose further. She said that there is a snowball's chance in hell that they will test, unless you are showing extreme symptoms. The rest are advised to rest and not leave home.

That is why I am posting here. Sorry about the TMI but is anybody else having these symptoms and are they bronchitis? Bacterial pneumonia, viral, COVID, influenza?

Sounds like it could potentially be the start of pneumonia or maybe pleurisy, but I'm not a doctor and both of those would probably result in moderate to severe pain whenever you breathe in. Bronchitis usually starts off as a dry cough and then later on you'll be coughing up a bunch of colorful, disgusting shit. Pneumonia is the same way when it begins to break up. Normally bronchitis or pneumonia will result in an audible 'wheezing' or 'crackling/bubbling' sound that you hear when breathing, at least in my experience.

Do you think it'd count as a comorbidity?
In spain we're specifically counting it as "dead with coronavirus" as opposed to "dead by coronavirus" specifically so we don't have to make questions like that one and I'd rather not even try to untangle the mess of ehat comorbidity even is.

For some examples of the hilarious results of this thoug, well first off the Grande of spain that he showed on his prior post was an 80yo smoker with renal issues. On most countries they'd have counted him as "comorbidity" for sure. Not in spain. We also got that futbol player who also had LEUKEMIA counted as coronachan and if rumors are true back before we werent quarantined someone that had been diagnosed with wuhan flu got run over by a drunk driver and we're still counting the bastard. So really I think that might explain why our numbers might seem a tad exagerated compared with, say, germany, who counts everything the other way around.

This webblog is a great resource for understanding what (allegedly) Harvard-educated criminal schizophrenics think about the coronavirus. Intriguing stuff. We have much to learn from mentally-ill felons

Some reassuring news re the US food supply. Heck, if all the "locusts" had shown some self-discipline there'd be no empty shelves anywhere today. Fuck the "locusts".

Whoa, nearly 1000 pages and 20,000 posts. Thanks to everyone who has contributed. Sadly, believe this thread has many thousands more pages to go before we can turn the page on the ChiCom Flu. Just hope all our KFers and their loved ones get through this. 👍

Why has New York fallen apart so much worse than everywhere else in the country?

Mayor de Assio, Governor and mayor fighting each other out of what seems to be pure spite, corrupt or incompetent government in general, large population stacked on each other, mass transit system perfect for spread, plus alot of other things. Its going to get alot worse for them.

They're on an elevator to hell, going down.
