How to enforce social distancing in a place like this? Any idea?

Shoutout to the giraffe neck looking motherfucker staring at the camera in the lower left. That look just screams "shit's fucked, yo".
Anyway, Kazakh update: shit IS fucked, yo!
Total infections up to 58.
They began intercepting tele-and-radiocommunications in Nur-Sultan.
There's currently 1243 people in quarantine across the entire country, with 631 in Almaty.

GM may be wise to look at opening plants that aren't auto related. Will be greatly suprised if no billionare starts up supply networks for manufacturing.

Raw materials, processing and manufacturing all within a single state would greatly increase GDP, ease unemployment and would shrink the globalist supply strings (because lets face it, if you make a product that relies on parts and goodwill from people 3000 miles away... it isn't a chain) into national supply webs.
I said this before in this thread but we're going to need a LOT more than just respirators for this shit. Nearly every exposable medical supply we will need to keep people alive.

I really don't know what our future will look like and this is something that fucks me up. It's clear this shit has gotten everywhere but some how it's still surprising me just how widespread it is each time more cases are confirmed and the visual is there. A lot more people are going to die, we're probably going to be facing a quarantine lasting for months. Pence and Trump if they don't got it now, they most likely will in the coming months. But boy howdy my friends and I are gonna get rich as fuck from them stonks. We probably won't return to life as we knew it for a year and a half.

So hydroxychloroquine (brand name Plaquenil in the US) can have some pretty gnarly side effects. It has a long elimination half life, meaning that it sticks around in your system for a while after you stop taking it. This normally isn't a big deal, except for some reason, the cells in your retina can not void the compound like the cells in the rest of your body. The reason for this is still poorly understood. The levels can get high enough that your retinal cells start to die. The peripheral vision starts to go first, resulting in ever-narrowing tunnel vision. Hydroxychloroquine-induced retinal toxicity is permenant, and can contiue to get worse even after cessation of the drug. For this reason, there is usually a lifetime exposure limit of hydroxychloroquine. Patients are switched to a different drug after they get to this point, and they have to undergo regular visual field testing and retinal scanning to keep an eye on their eyes.

This sounds bad, and it is, but hydroxychloroquine is still a lot safer and more effective than some other drugs for these conditions. This is a rare side effect that only a few groups of patients have to worry about. The people who are most at risk of this are on a higher dosage for a long time, or they are dumb assholes buying it over the internet and taking an inappropriately high dose. Medical supervision is important while taking this drug.

For all you assholes in this thread who are buying this shit from the internet without medical supervision, don't take more than 400mg a day as a maintenance dose. If you are under 135lbs, your safe dose is lower. Tell your idiot family members who are getting their fake scripts from pill mills online to not overdo it on the dosing. More is not better. I'm waiting for the rash of tunnel vision and legal blindness in a few months/years to come as a result of people ODing on this thinking it will protect them from corona.

Hydroxychloroquine is apparently "safer" alternative to chloroquine, and chloroquine is artificial quinine. You know what has quinine in it? Tonic does - the drink that goes with gin. Why use the artificial chemical quinine, if you can get the real thing??
Stop ordering (hydroxy)chloroquine from shady sites on the interwebs, you'll never know if the powder they send you is the real deal or cut with washing powder. Also have fun measuring it out with 100 mg precision.

Patrician's choice is to order at least one month's supply of Gin and Tonic and ride out the apocalypse in style - Gin will take care of your mental health and quinine in Tonic water will cure you from The Great Sneeze Forward. By the time you get sober, you'll see that virus panic is over, dead are buried and everything is back to normal-ish.

Again, not sure why you're bringing up stuff which only relates to the coronavirus in that the Zionists are having Trump impose even more unreasonable sanctions to ensure as many Iranians die as possible, but obviously when you control all Western governments it makes sense to attack anyone who will stand up against you, whether those people are proud Iranians or Syrians, or nationalist dissidents within the West.

Gotta love the excuses and blame shifting. This has nothing to do with anything the Iranian government did, it's all because the Juice have shifty plans.

What this actually is- 'Please don't have a revolution and kill us, the Juice killed all those people not our incompetence!'.

Just heard that a friend of a friend in Italy lost 12 friends (all boomers)

even on the most conservative assumptions, this would require that she has thousands of friends

So does heroin (at least here)

Wonder how GM can build respirators on such short notice. Didn't believe they could do much of anything on short notice except raise prices and beg for government bailouts.
In the UK the plan seems to be for 1000+ random manufacturers to supply what they can, Formula 1 teams to 3D print the rest, and then the F1 teams are mostly owned by regular car manufacturers who will use their commercial factories to put it all together.

Presumably GM has a Nascar team or something that can quickly produce specialist items.

Get rekt, Iran!

It would actually be pretty easy to catch these tards. The guy walks right in front of the dashcam so all they really need to do is review security tapes from about 10 minutes before that.

I think the patrol car says Las Vegas. Anyone there wanna do some humanitarian work?

America cant help Italy because we cant even help ourselves. China has all of us by the balls.

Our government should have no real obligation to help anyone aside from our own people, illegals not included. Especially if other countries want to praise China for anything. China's not helping shit. Yeah, I understand the circumstances and no I don't expect any government to place other countries over their own. If they do, they should be dealt with.

So you’re saying after we finish LARPing Contagion, we’re going to LARP Bird Box?

So am I right that nobody has created a cool arcgis dashboard for the US like Italy and the UK have? Would be nice to see state and county breakouts on a map you can zoom in on.

If its real then...welcome to the real world? What does this guy think airbnb owe him?

Were people like this saying anything when hotels were bitching about airbnb undercutting them? A lot of businesses and people are getting screwed right now but if you took on too much debt and bought properties to build your little airbnb 'business' you only have yourself to blame.

Sounds like he's bent out of shape he can't gouge some people who cancelled due to virus on cancellation fees. So you get quarantined, shelter'd in place, or sick, this guy wants to still charge you because of TERMS OF SERVICE so he can get a few extra benjamins in his pocket.

Okay, I have to know - is this parody or is this real? Everybody on the twitter thread is debating it. If it's parody then this guy is brilliant - really convincing, nailed the look. But everything about it suggests it's real other than my own incredulity that this person exists. But if KF has taught me anything, it's that there is no limit to people's lack of self-awareness. I think this is real.

Its 100% real he has that autism accent. The standing in line for 5 hours gives it away too. No non-autist makes a video of themselves sperging out and posts it online. This fucking video feels like it came out in 2007.

Also hes basically saying what Dick Masterson is saying without the charisma or comic ability. So im sure some rich guys do feel this way.

Anyways that does bring up a good question, how would you feel if this virus hit back in 2007? Before streaming and widespread internet we would have been massively fucked. A big reason people arent panicking is because they are catching up on netflix and vidya.

I know that I'm pretty late on this but I'm getting real sick and tired of people thinking this coronavirus is the fucking apocalypse. Everybody's either taking all the Toilet Paper and food like bears in the wake of hibernate or germaphobes acting like every single person outside has the virus and your the sole survivor.
All you have to do is buy a week supplie of the stufff you need and stay your ass home until this made-in-china virus blows over.

lol who's going to be shopping for nick nacks while there's a massive global pandemic?
I don't even know what they'd sell after a bit, all that stuff was chinese made.

eta: maybe she's trying to offload it before the backlash. Or keep her employees from filing UI. I can't think of many other corporate entities that deserve it more than they do. They make Walmart look like a Holiday in Cambodia.

I remember back when we made our own steel and had manufacturing. The rich were still quite rich but there was a moment in the 50's thru 70's where a worker could support a family pretty well and we didn't have half the societal bullshit we deal with today because far fewer people had time to masturbate (mentally or literally) 24/7. I guess we need to stop sending our recyclable metals to China and make Pittsburgh, Gary and Detroit steel great again. We need to slice our fucking meat here, We need to support PPE companies that manufacture here- my box of masks comes from a company named 'precept' that states that it will only manufacture in the US. We need more of this.

And that's where the flaw of statistics lie, especially with something as virulent as this shit.

3% of the population doesn't magically mean for every 100 people in a given area there will be 3 in a specific building, it means out of the population, 3% exist. There's a huge distinction between both.

For example in this instance, those 12 people could be in the same nursing home, visited the same infect areas, or this could just all be a coincidence. I guess the friend lying would also be a possibility but I don't really know why someone would attentionwhore in such a minor way over this.

That distinction is usually where the assumptions by scientists are made, and where assloads of people argue over.

Meanwhile in South Korea tho... A US citizen providing a bit of information, really seems like S korea had it right since the beginning informing people about all the symptoms, aggressive testing and isolating clusters as soon as they appear... social distancing might be a huge part of it, and there were never a huge quarantine. Might have to do with the way they are already living (aka, they already are social distancing in their everyday life anyway. )

She seems pretty guenuine and has familly in the U.S. she is worried about.
