I guess we have to check and archive the post of that fucked so-called journalist if he had posted some racists comments on his Twitter or Facebook account like that ex-reporter from Des Moines Register Aaron Calvin, where we discovered he posted racists tweets himself after he denounced racist comments.
Fuck I was just trying to remember that guys name the other day. Thanks! Pretty sure Mr. Journo got fired in the end too.

It's more that NYC is one of the most concentrated centers of old people in the US. Especially the areas that are getting most hit. Queens Brooklyn and the Bronx. Add that to certain groups such as the (((Hasidim))) who after getting one of the worst spikes in New Rochelle, still are failing to get the "Social Distancing You Fucking Morons" message down in Brooklyn.

I think we may have to put them in ghettos at this point. And if they cry about "muh anti semitism," just tell them Bibi just did that in Israel in Bnei Brak.

"Oy vey, you don't want us congregating hundreds of people in cramped, poorly ventilated rooms do you? It's anudduh shoah!"

I can hear it already. Stack some pennies in the quarantine dorms and I'll bet they'd go along with the plan peaceable enough.

oh shit am I reading that right
the death count is double the recoveries???

that can't be right. and the total case numbers seem way too low.
almost half of the cases are 55-65+.

as for the low numbers, its a mix of reasons, flipland's culture revolving around "doing the best for the country" so they are following the quarantine rules as much as possible, few testing kits, so its only PUI and PUM are being tested, and the pure political will president Duterte have. 3 weeks ago, he implement a social distancing quarantine. for a period of 1 month, people should be distanced 1 meter, specially in mass transit, but on day 1 of the quarantine, it was a mess, only few people were implementing it, so he shut it down and made it total lockdown, and everyone complied, all local government units followed his order, no questions.

Given that Manila is one of the densest capital in the world and quarantine started way before it became rampant yeah. I'm gonna say it's doing a good job avoiding the kiss of Corona-chan.
And the media is not state controlled so they can't keep the numbers hidden. I'm wondering as well what is the difference between this and other more developed countries.

I don't hate Dr. Fauci, but he has been incredibly inconsistent/dishonest about the masks.

Fauci: "If you're healthy, you don't need the masks; they don't protect you."

Also Fauci: "We need to make sure our doctors and nurses have enough masks to protect them and ensure their health."

except context matters.
doctors and nurses deal with sick people the whole day. if you leave your place once a week at 3am to get groceries from an empty supermarket a mask does zilch.
and yes, when everybody scrambles to get mask because OMG THEY SAY SO ON TV!!! the people that need them the most - doctors and nurses - suffer the most until fabrication and shipping has ramped up to fill the shortage. and even then it's questionable if the demand can be met when everyone wants masks.

It seems like he's also worked for Amazon on the political front.

Why am I not surprised he's a Democrat and backs the DNC establishment candidate too? I'd be surprised if he hadn't denounced someone for racism.

Also, look at this

https://web.archive.org/web/2020040...cle_936f7554-c64f-52ac-8158-fee61865107a.html

"There are urgent needs across the Puget Sound region, and it's particularly important that the most vulnerable in society are supported during this difficult time for our community," said David Zapolsky, Amazon SVP and General Counsel. "The COVID-19 Response Fund is an excellent example of nonprofits, governments, and businesses coming together quickly with an innovative approach to an unprecedented issue."

He's such a friend of the vulnerable in society! Until they work for his company...

Minimal Testing. It also explains the high deaths vs recovered stats. They are only testing and confirming the worst presenting cases.

Because when shit started to hit the fan, Gavin Newsom surprised every single person in the country by speed-dialing the White House and asking for their advice on how to handle the outbreak. He was one of the first governors to do that, and as a result of following their advice and the facilitation of federal help, the infection rate in California nearly flatlined. Newsom had the good sense to shut the fuck up and just do his job instead of playing politics, and it worked.

View attachment 1212844

He pulled in every single state asset that he could find, he started recruiting retired civilian and military medical personnel, he took in anyone who was able to volunteer for non-medical duties so that the medical staff could get freed up, and he went nuts on finding locations for military 'field hospitals.'

New York, on the other hand, just danced around like brain-dead idiots and kept encouraging people to go out and party in Chinatown (And I mean that they literally did that) and took every opportunity to ignore every piece of advice that the Federal government was offering them until their infection rate just exploded.

For once, California actually didn't fuck something up. I was shocked because I would have bet my last dollar that California was going to be the Ground Zero for this outbreak in the U.S., but something managed to scare the shit out of Newsom and he got to work.
It really says something about the state of new york when fucking California is doing better than you.

The ratio starts off like this in most countries. IIRC it was even worse in the U.S. early on, then eventually the recoveries start to catch up and then overtake the deaths.

I'm not sure how well places are even keeping up with recoveries. I went to look up how many people recovered in my state and the governor was like "eh, I dunno, we're not really keeping track at the moment, we don't have official numbers".

I guess we'll get to see when everyone gets a test. Just saying the number of deaths are kinda low for a third country with an overpopulated city.

Solid Rock Church updates. The mayor of Monroe is begging the church to reconsider continuing the in-person services. Almost every other church in the state has switched to streaming for the time being.
