Phil is currently snortsplaining why only the vest is ok for his begging goals. TL;DR: low effort and doesn't bother him. Everything else is too much effort and/or is mildly uncomfortable, so he doesn't wanna.
I can only guess at what will happen in summer.
A. "Sorry guys, I don't wanna wear The Vest anymore because it's too haht in my office, fortunately there will be a NEW <Really Low Effort Tips Goal>!"
B. "Normally I wouldn't want to wear The Vest in hot weather but if you REALLY wanna see it, I'll wear it! *Raises the tips goal to $150*
C. "I'm gonna need a new fan in order to keep the office cool enough for The Vest, so that's why I'm organizing a special $500 fundraiser!"

Does he even have physical releases of titles? Also given his history of sucking at games, it seems foolish to play RE3 remake on hard mode fresh out the gate but I guess if your usual narrative is a company as reputable as Capcom can't make fun and playable game mechanics that's a good start. What's with streaming Morrowind? I couldn't imagine throwing down on a livestream with any RPG let alone one made so long ago and on a console no less missing out on the mods.

Morrowind was voted into one of his begathons. I guess because people thought it would be funny to see him not know how to do anything. Naturally, he was a baby about it and made it as boring as possible and quit after the mandatory hour.

Then, for some reason, a few people continued to ask for it, and he finally threw it in when he needed another game to slowly go through. I think even he was surprised that both Popsicolo and this MORROWINDLORD person have shown up to handhold him through it. So it is extraordinarily boring, but Phil doesn't care because he keeps getting money while having all difficulty removed.

He's basically being an anthropomorphic "Twitch Plays" stream.

Only $1200 + $500. They didn't file jointly in 2018, and Phil made well more than the $99,000 cutoff.

I added this before
Phil hasn't filed 2019 so the stimulus is based of of 2018.

Based on 2018 when he filed separately he wont qualify.

But yes if he had filed 2019 on time jointly he would get a cool $2,400 to help pay for the next round of Rochelle handling his bankruptcy.

Since Phil hasn't filed yet only Kat will get a check and probably buy herself something nice like she did with her tax return.
iirc we won’t qualify for it all but he will still possibly get something. I don’t believe (and I could be wrong) that it’s an “all or nothing” type deal. Also don’t you have until the taxes due date to turn it in before they look at 2018, or am I wrong on that as well? Sorry this stimulus thing is a little conduits someone who does t fuck with financials very much. Especially when discussing Phil’s. That shit is fucked.

Edit: in the article I linked (which I assume is correct?) ishas the header “how do I know if I will get the full amount “ making me trust it’s not an “all or nothing” deal. So he may not get anything (I dunno how much he made) but he may still get something. I’m also not sure if there’s any relief (either now or incoming) for ppl in bankruptcy. Everyone else got a bail out..

edit, the sequel:“ If you're earning more than those limits, though, you may receive a smaller check or no check at all. For every $100 you earn above those limits, your check will be reduced by $5. So if your income is high enough, you may not qualify for any stimulus money. For those with no children, those income limits are $99,000 per year for single filers, $136,500 per year for heads of household, and $198,000 per year for married couples.”

he should qualify for something, no?

Ah that's illuminating. Caught a bit of his RE3 run and it seems to match up that he wants to drag out his Twitch sessions as long as possible, he was whining about wanting to get his money's worth for the gametime from hardcore because supposedly good players were beating it in 5-7 hours. Sorry for dumb questions my brain just can't deal with trying to read 5000 pages of DSP lore for the minutiae but I'm on the edge of my seat with this bankruptcy and how he's seeming not to take any of it seriously.

If they use his 2018 return, he filed individually and made 6 figures, so he wouldn't get anything. If he somehow gets his 2019 return to count (it's not filed yet to my knowledge), then he and Kat will probably get the full amount (or close to it). The full amount cutoff is $150k for a couple filing jointly, and it disappears at $198k, I think.

The fact that Dave himself admitted to not understanding why anyone likes the vest so much is just the icing on the cake to me. Just give the whales something to look forward to, even if it's the lowest effort possible, and they flock to it.
Just look at how much he spends on WWE gachashit and you'll see why he subconsciously understands the subtle art of dangling shiny keys in front of a wheelchair with no fiscal responsibility

Thanks for clearing that up. That’s actually what I was thinking, just that where there’s not a “strict” cut off (every $100 made over $75,000 you take like $5 off) he may get a little something if they use 2018, but probably not doing some quick math. Either way he’ll use the stimulus for begging. It’ll be interesting to see how he tries to spin it either way.
