Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Wondering if anyone has seen this:

With how single-minded opinions for TLJ has been, this was kinda refreshing. I don't care about Star Wars, and it's an awful movie just because of the obvious woke agenda it pushes. But everything else he says, I can't help but agree with.

That SW fans only want the same damn thing over and over again, how the franchise itself is too iconic for its own good, and most of all, how the originals are put on a pedestal despite being just as nonsensical and cheesy.
I remember arguing these facts with fans on other forums before it even came out, so I thought this was a refreshing video. Nice to see something that's not the usual hate-boner over it. Thought I'd share.

Edit: Thanks for the rating; you've only proved my point and the video's.
"If you need a committee to rubber stamp your fantasy adventure plot points for your consumption,
maybe you’re the one who doesn’t understand what the force is about." Is the only thing i can agree with in this video.

I love the part where he says Snoke doesn't need a backstory as his only importance is his connection with Kylo just like the Emperor was important because of his connection with Vader....what? Snoke isn't the Emperor, Palpatine doesn't need a backstory the empire rules this galaxy and that's all we know about the OT universe.
However, Snoke exists in an already established setting so the audience needs to know where he fits in, plus his inconsistent relationship with Kylo just throws this comparison off.
Its pretty clear what the Emperor's goals are: he's a power hunger old man who sees Vader as a tool to accomplish his goals, he wants Luke to be his apprentice cause Luke is potentially more powerful than Vader and he wants the rebel alliance destroyed, simple stuff.
Tf does Snoke want? why does he choose Kylo? how exactly does he turn Kylo? They both seem to mutually disdain one-another and Kylo even tries to kill him in their first scene together in Tlj so what exactly is their relationship? but no don't ask questions wanting a character to have a backstory is ridiculous just shut up and consoome.

At 11:44 his description of the force basically confirms Kreias' view that its a malevolent entity that controls people to achieve balance even when billions have to die in the process.

The guy who edited Plan IX said RJ sabotaged them with TLJ.
Probably already been explained but how the hell to Johnson get picked to direct episode 8 in the first place.
I'm gonna assume nepotism because going through his filmography, most of his films made piss poor revenue at the box office with the exception of Looper which I'll admit I kinda liked but that was mainly because I viewed it as a c-list action film you would rent form a redbox or see at a second run theater for a a buck or two (probably will change if I ever get around to watching it again)

JJ ins't guiltless ethier it was his idea to do empire 2.0 and make Luke a hermit. He was the one that wanted to bring Palpatine back, he was the one who decided to undo almost all of han's charather development. In short both Rian and J.J suck.

This brings back the point I keep hammering home. RJ, JJ, and Disney spend the entire trilogy trying to figuring out what the theme of the trilogy should be, through the trilogy itself. Basically, they treated this trilogy as a rough cut for another trilogy.

I decided to check up on Pablo Hidalgo. Apparently he's deleted a lot of his past tweets from before 2017, mostly ones about Behind the Scenes info or questions about nu-canon shit, including one about a Bothan from an Aladdin's Rebels spinoff not being a Bothan or just telling people to bugger off or saying what isn't canon (with all of these tweets being used by 4chan and forum Disney shills in defense of Disney canon, but they're gone now lol), but among his shit I discovered that some author made a Rogue One tie-in novel in 2017 that retconned the Jan Ors knockoff from Rogue One into being Hidalgo's OC from his Rookies webcomic from back in the 2000s. Apparently "Jyn Erso" is also known by many other names, including Kestrel/Raleigh Dawn which was one of the many aliases used by Hidalgo's Rebel spy heroine from the webcomics.

I guess that explains why Hidalgo is so complacent and defensive of Disney since they made his waifu canon, even though the fucks don't listen to his new shittier guides. Hard to believe this cunt used to be likeable...

At least he can let his oc die unlike some other guy.

I recalled when Hidalgo called out Topps card trader for using the True eu version of a character's backstory, I think it was San Hill and called it an "outdated Idea". The Wook took his words on it, now I want them to add it back since he deleted those tweets and Topps was just using the version that made the most sense.

Disney's stock is continuing to be downgraded by Wells Fargo. Like I said, Star Wars will be impacted in the aftermath of this pandemic.

Even if by some miracle or bailout they get out of this partly unscathed, Galaxy's Edge and its hotel are beyond fucked. Even the Marvel expansion for the parks (among many other things) are getting the boot.

Odd thing is that there are actually a few Disney drones who want the hotel to fail because it might actually have aliens, which takes the spotlight away from diverse™ humans, so there won't be much salt from them should it flop.

Even though the odds of the shitty hotel having aliens is about as likely as the park's chances of ever getting any outside of Dok Ondar.
