There are people who legitimately think that a 16 YO and 18 YO dating in high school is pedophilia somehow. Which I don't understand because that's common in a lot of schools. I know people have had crushes and/or dated a senior at one point. One of the stupid reasons that these crusaders give is that an older person has an immediate power imbalance over you. You can both be adults, but if the person you're dating is 31 and you're 21 then that's automatically a problematic relationship.

Also funny thing about that particular tweet; Kamoshida is a sexual predator who forced himself on female students (even one of the girls he abused also attempts suicide). I don't know if the person who runs the account knew that, but if they do then Anti-MAPs are really only doing this shit to make themselves feel superior in a really pathetic way.

I like getting reaffirmed I would not be a pervert. when i did have the one and only school crush, with said age gap it distressed me because "omg, i'm 18 that makes me an adult, oh no, I can't find this boy cute what is wrong with me?" now I've fallen into darkness, and figure it's ok. if not, then act like "good guy" and lead others into that anguish of "you are a sick pervert and adult. leave minor children alone" I always ask the anti maps to 'define child/minor". some countries emancipation/age of majority happens at 21.

Hard disagree on that part (emphasis mine.) I've personally known several couples who are (1. already adults at the start of their relationships and (2. have significant age gap between them, yet their relationships appear to be healthy and no sign of "power imbalance" as far as I can tell.

That entire mentality has always been retarded to me. The sad part is, at least in the U.S., there have been cases where 18 year olds were arrested for dating their 17 year old girlfriends/boyfriends and charged like they were pedophiles. In the U.S., many states passed close in age exemptions (also known as Romeo and Juliet Laws) specifically to avoid those kinds of situations, but many states still lack those laws. Most other countries avoid these issues by either 1)having low ages of consent to begin with, 2)having the age of consent vary depending the age of the older person, or basically their own variation on Romeo and Juliet Laws), or 3)Just make all sex outside of marriage illegal (this is common in most Muslim countries for obvious reasons; conversely, many of these countries allow adults to marry children because Muhammad was betrothed and married to his favorite wife Aisha when she was 6 or 7, and consummated the marriage when she was 9 or 10, though this isn't certain).

Well somehow I get the feeling the people that do this probably were a bunch of dateless losers in high school and so they probably do this because of the their lack of a dating life back then.

Well if Deviantart will start pulling a 'Tumblr' soon then fine, they have the right to regulate how they want their platform to be.

I also want to touch on another subject; I have seen some of these twitter crusaders accuse teenagers of being pedophiles for making/liking porn of characters in their age group. Maybe because these kinds of people infantilize teens as sexless and that hormones/puberty don't play a factor into them eventually becoming adults. They also don't understand that things like fanfictions might be their only outlet for sexuality. I know this was true for a lot of female friends I had growing up because they had strict families and were under pressure to stay pure. So if anything, they're doing some really backwards shaming tactics because they're so caught up their moral crusade to hunt supposed pedos on the internet.

The BBC did a number of series where they sperged out like this. Basically one of their reporters went to Japan, filmed some ads for anime and said it was child pornography and should be banned. They ended up interviewing the creator of the anime "girls und panzer", who after the interview called the BBC fake news.
