woke culture depending on definition, has been around much longer than people think, also the main reason his side lost was because they all thought that normies would eventually see the light and enough people would join him in fighting the menace that they would never have to deal with them again. Look back at the star wars thread and how many people believed the mouse would get rid of KK and ROTS would flop.
Or hell look at the early days of this site, and how many people thought we would never hear about Wu after 2014. I guarantee you 70 days from now, the general consensus will be that "it's good actually" the same way people said the same shit after GOT, TLJ, ROTS, STD, and Picard. Just like Rockwell paraphrased back in the 60s: "Many people agree with us, but aren't willing to admit it openly or risk disagreeing with SJW friends, so the general consensus is always what the SJWs want it to be"
Rise of Skywalker did not flop, but it massively underperformed and while it grossed a billion dollars, it cost around half a billion to make and then there's the costs of distribution and marketing.
Honestly, if it weren't preemptively hyped up as the "grand finale" of the Star Wars saga, it would've likely bombed harder than Solo, which was an outright box office bomb that even Disney acknowledged as a failure.
Also, Disney has still not fully made back on the $4 Billion buyout that got them Star Wars to begin with, and that was sold as something that would pay for itself. The Last Jedi and the woke shit put an end to that.
Normally, you'd have a point about the consoomers, ChiComs, and normies keeping woke culture afloat despite all the mounting backlash, but now we've got the new wildcard of COVID-19 and the pandemic and economic meltdowns resulting from it.
Even Disney is getting its shit pushed in by this pandemic, despite being the invincible juggernaut of 2010's Hollywood and what happens after the 2020 election and the worst of the pandemic are over is anyone's guess at this point. There's also the fact that a black swan moment like this usually triggers a change in the cultural zeitgeist.
We saw this with the end of the Cold War, 9/11, and the Great Recession, as well as other major game-changing events in prior eras. The dominance of woke culture in the 2010's owed a lot to the Great Recession and its aftermath.
Keep in mind that Hitler was only able to get into power thanks to the widespread chaos and economic strife caused by the Great Depression.
Slightly off-topic but Brianna Wu really is a literal nobody has-been at this point.
Of all the major figureheads in the Gamergate controversy in 2014-2015, she fell from relevancy the quickest and at this point, she's far more relevant as a meme on the Farms than as a figure in the culture war or SJW circles.
Zoe Quinn only got really resurgent thanks to her driving Alec Holowa to suicide over the her false allegations she made to get back in the spotlight. Even then, that move really harmed her in the long run.
Anita Sarkeesian is at best still semi-relevant in 2020, and that's mainly because Feminist Frequency hasn't gone bankrupt just yet and because she had the most influence and mainstream media support out of anyone in all this when this was at its height, and even had clout pre-GG.
Even then, Anita is rapidly fading from the spotlight after CD Projekt Red largely ignored her petty threats and refused to give her a consultant position on Cyberpunk 2077 last summer and she got desperate enough to start attacking The Mandalorian of all things later that same year.
Nothing lasts forever
