I wouldn't say it was one person. Druckmann, and the director for the first game, Bruce Straley, pitched it together after they re-worked Druckmann's original pitch to George Romero. Romero tasked university students with pitching him a game concept. Druckmann's idea was to blend "Ico" the ps2 game, with Night of the Living Dead, with John Hartigan from Sin City. His idea didn't win, by the way.

The co-presidents of ND liked the idea, though, and they tasked Druckmann and Straley to work together. Druckmann's initial plan was for the Human Cordyceps strain to only infect women, too, with the policeman having a heart condition and the little girl needing to protect him every so often. This eventually evolved into The Last of Us, with central themes around the idea of "life goes on."

Oh, Bruce Straley left the company after Uncharted 4 dropped, He directed Uncharted 2, 4 and TLOU 1.

Strangely, Watch Dogs 2 had a pretty blunt depiction of a trans woman without making it a joke, or making it their sole trait (granted a part of the story involving her was an organisation attempting to blackmail her over the situation, but she was a politician and the group was full of assholes...).

She wasn't ugly, but at the same time it was pretty clear the transition was late in life and she still had quite a mannish build. If I'm not mistaken the voice actor was even male, but I'm less certain of that.

Can't remember the characters name so googling is useless for me.

The character's name was Miranda Comay and I too was surprised by how they handled it.

Mind, W_D2 also focused on quality of the voice actors (with at least two asian characters and Miranda) being played by people not of their races/sexes depicted. It focused on quality on that end and is actually better for it.

Abby and Ellie though? Doesn't seem to work, you get this ridiculous hulkomania girl spazzing out because of the actions of someone else.

Joel getting killed in the game? Fine. Go for it, if anything it'd make total sense considering the "slaughter the Fireflies" is apparently canonical. If anything it'd make a lot of sense that remnants would come for him, or the kid of it. If anything it'd make a good story if handled competently.

There's zero evidence in anything we've seen from the leaks and that the studio's basically one of it's zombies by this point.

To get the kind of musculature Abby has, you'd not only have to seriously work out on a dedicated training regimen, you'd have to eat well with a specific diet and drink a lot of water. It looks more and more like some weird, deviant fantasy with a gritty backdrop.

Ironically, that would an amazing concept for the setting, the lack of food beyond sustenance would also mean the men would be a lot closer to the fighting strength of a teenage girl. Rise of Skywalker did not flop, but it massively underperformed and while it grossed a billion dollars, it cost around half a billion to make and then there's the costs of distribution and marketing.

Honestly, if it weren't preemptively hyped up as the "grand finale" of the Star Wars saga, it would've likely bombed harder than Solo, which was an outright box office bomb that even Disney acknowledged as a failure.

Also, Disney has still not fully made back on the $4 Billion buyout that got them Star Wars to begin with, and that was sold as something that would pay for itself. The Last Jedi and the woke shit put an end to that.
