Not quite. Negan isn’t trans but Rick killed the doctor in the first season who tried to remove Carl’s brain because Carl is immune. As it turns out, the doctor was Negans father so Negan spent the rest of the six seasons to hunt down Carl and Rick to get his sweet sweet revenge. And as Negan bashes Ricks skull in, we get a flashback to that sob story and the show tries to make us sympathize with Negan and his actions so we follow his story and community for the rest of the season. In the end, Carl tries to kill Negan but Negan beats the everliving crap out of Carl and his gay lover, only to stop and let them live because „revenge bad“

The funniest part about this was when Kotaku or Polygon or one of those other shithole sites saw this trailer bitched about the violence against women (despite, y'know, the violence also being commanded by a woman). Halo Infinite if it gets a story like TLOU2: Chief gets killed by a transgender brute at the beginning of the game, you then play as that brute and go and beat Arbiter and his pregnant boyfriend up, killing one of them, then you go and actually kill Cortona even though shes proven to be pretty much unkillable, and if you don't like this story you're a bigoted racist sexist transhobe.
Y'know, that also begs the question of why Abby doesn't just kidnap Ellie and then take her in for testing to find a cure somehow. Wouldn't that make more sense than beating her senseless and mutilating her out of petty revenge even though it was her father that wronged Abby?
