Didn't Sigourney Weaver also make weird demands like "no guns" and for some reason wanted a sex scene with a xenomorph for her to come back?
Most of the weird choices were due to the actors either not wanting to come back or having dumb demands
They should have just gone with the first script where Hicks and the Andriod dude are trying to keep a station going back to earth safe (hence why the original ads were talking about going to earth)
Talking about alien though does give a good point on how a really bleak story can be done right, but then again it wasn't trying to make us agree with the creator's politics and opinions

Why does it seem like Abby's arms change between scenes? They keep changing between to really big and impossibly muscular arms ala Chris Redfield, to a thinner than previous but still muscular. Or am I just imagining things? I know muscles in the arm bunch up when the arms are in certain poses, but they don't bunch up that much.

It's hard to properly animate movement, especially muscular body types. There's a lot of moving parts to consider. Once we have final edition gameplay ala Markiplier (or another big lper) we'll be able to tell if they touched it up or not.

Also, just watched the "story trailer" that just released, obviously super ellie heavy, but they almost make it look like it ebds with her getting revenge and killing them. Last frame you see is her swinging a glofclub at someone. I'm thinking abby. It might actually not be as garbage as was leaked. Still not holding my breath though.

I won't either, but it genuinely looks different from what we know so far. Like tommy might not be killed, the revenge might not be what we were told.

we saw several hours of a potentially 20-30 hour long game, there's always the possibility it won't be AS shitty as the leaks would lead you to expect. I don't expect there to be some grand context changing stuff that makes what we've already seen actually great as part of a full product, but there's a chance we get a 6.5 out of 10 situation. maybe even a 7. personally, I'd prefer it to be irredeemable shit since it would be funnier than plain woke mediocrity, but for the fans' sake I hope they at least get something out of it. they won't get a masterpiece that's for sure, but neither was the first game.
absolute best case scenario: the game looks and plays well, they somehow manage to make abby likable inbetween the joel in one and the lesbian smackdown, and the build up to those two scenes actually works. the former is a given but the latter two would be very difficult, though not impossible. if they accomplish these things, we'll get a 7/10 game that's praised as a groundbreaking masterpiece by critics and fans but still gets memed on relentlessly.
