Looking mannish is one thing. Iron Liz seriously looked like a dude and this was after s/he was taking female hormones.

Agreed. To admit something like that takes guts and while I never liked her as a reviewer I will give her props for doing so. Lewis on the other hand I actually look down a bit on him because of this. Once Liz came out, he should have just admitted that he likes dick but from what I gather he's all, "Liz was only a woman in my eyes" which comes off a little cowardly.

Iron Liz may have been bad, but at least she still could make the look and do the voice better than Wu.

But a wet mop on a mannequin with inflatable boobs could do that, so I'm not sure if I'm praising anymore.

It's not that Iron Liz is very mannish that bugs me. It's not the fact that she came out. It's not even that Lewis had trouble coming out himself to thousands of strangers. It's that the damn smugness never went away and he acted like it was his fans fault for asking questions rather than his own for lying that has made me think he should take a long walk off a short pier.

I always thought Iron Liz was cis. Maybe I'm naive, but well, some girls just look butch--and I say that as a lady tenor. Either way, though, I'm glad she's out of it with Linkara and has gotten the surgery she needed. I wasn't a fan of her reviewing style, but I thought she came off pretty well in that interview, so vaya con Dios.

I don't know if Linkara is Grade A Lolbeef, but he certainly is smug and hypocritical. That's two of the seven deadly cowsins right there.

What about Oancitizen? I actually liked his videos until the whole being super pretentious and preachy thing stopped being part of the character and became a constant in his videos. Still enjoyed Shakespeare month though, and he's still one of the most watchable people on CA (not saying a whole lot but still)

That's not possible, he left CA.

But you just need to scour his Twitter account to realise how pathetic he is. He just mopes a lot and has a go at Brad for nothing. His artist is pretty cool though, he's gone through a lot, alcoholism, abusive family, intolerant neighbours, yet he doesn't moan, he just gets on with it.

I think with the Iron Liz deal, if she still stayed in the closet I'd totally understand
I mean there was that one transgender prom queen or something and people were dogpiling on how they should go and beat "it" up? And that was a regular-ass high school student and not someone who's doing videos for a well-known site with one hell of a fan-dumb? Pretty sure people were already being dicks about her when they thought she was just a butchish looking cis woman.

Granted it seems now he hid that under "don't wanna admit to liking dick" but still, it would have been a pretty scummy thing to out someone else like that like some people in this thread seem to be implying that he should have done.

I think it would have been better if, when the truth came out, he'd been straight up and said "Look guys, it was an awkward situation, neither of us quite new how to approach it and we didn't want to deal with a ton of backlash about something that isn't really related to the content we want to create, sorry for lying but we didn't know what else to do" rather than the "She was always a woman to me so shut up, you're all wrong and transphobic and how dare you question us, do you know who I am?" We seemed to get.

So, to review: Linkara is a hammy reviewer that has a really warbly voice and a narrow range of interests, likes dickgirls and rape fantasies, was a dumbass when handling a sensitive relationship issue such that he came across as cowardly and panicky, solicits his viewers for more money, engendered some bad blood with his co-workers, and is smug and hypocritical when feeling dominant.

Sorry, but I'm not really seeing lolcow status. That's barely even eccentric nerd status. Let's be frank here: as much as we laugh about his dickgirl superheroes and shittycomics, that's about the level of stupidity and deviancy you can expect from an average human being.

I used to be a fan of Linkara's videos. Nothing huge happened, I just sort of lost interest with him and TGWTG in general. I never found his skits interesting but I never minded them, I found his comic reviews interesting enough to watch.

Looking at what's been shown here, I still feel he's nowhere near the lolcow status of other reviewers like Spoony or MovieBob. His little rape fantasies are cringeworthy to look at but he isn't exactly reaching Dobson levels of trying to hide it.

Thing is if he just flat out admitted to it all when it was unearthed in a manner like: "Yeah, im into some pretty weird shit. Who isnt? lol" then noone would have cared and he probably would've become more popular for it.

Like the subjects of most threads on this board though that isn't what happened. He's going great lengths to prove how "Not weird" he is and looking like a hypocritical idiot while doing so

Thought he actually argued that it was sex positive feminist character (as much as he and his wives that helped creating her could admit) . And the comic was succesfull with the intented audience regardless of the obvious connotations.

Makes you wonder how the recent SJW bitching about "fap and tits" actually blocks creativity and diversity.
