Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore has said that US president Donald Trump doesn’t stand a chance at winning the upcoming election – unless he turns to “cheating”.

Speaking on Real Time with Bill Maher, Moore said Trump’s widely criticised handling of the coronavirus pandemic had damaged his popularity: “The only way they are going to pull it off is if he’s able to cancel the election or postpone it.”

“I’m certain that’s what’s going on in his head right now,” he added.

Moore also claimed that “the only way Republicans can win is if they cheat”, suggesting that the majority of US voters were amenable to the more progressive policies offered by the Democratic Party.

“Hilary [Clinton] won by three million votes in the popular vote, as we call it. I think [Joe] Biden will win by five million.”

“But,” said Moore, “I think Trump still could win the Electoral College. All of us have to be in fighting mode, because he is.”

The filmmaker has been an outspoken critic of the president throughout his time in power.

In 2018, Moore wrote and directed a documentary about Trump’s 2016 election victory, entitled Fahrenheit 11/9.

Plenty of people were clearly jizzing themselves about getting to bring in talented, hardworking, powerful, tough Hilary Clinton because it was her turn and sure she wasn't perfect but no one is as the first female president after the first black president, showing the world how woke America was and this was surely going to be the end of white males and the KKK for realsies, and she was clearly the best and most qualified candidate in the field and America definitely couldn't do better.

When you started bringing up that her closet was full of skeletons, the fact she'd been up to nefarious shit for two solid decades with no breaks, they would do this half- hearted "well ok sure you have a point, but all politicians that sort of thing, and she's still better than Trump no matter what!". Most people were only pretending they weren't full deep-throating clinton so people wouldn't bring up inconvenient truths or they wouldn't have to fight and die on the hill of when Clinton was the Secretary of State for the most open, transparent, and scandal-free presidency of ever, the fact she disobeyed congress by not providing a list of the Clinton Global Foundation's donors was no big deal, as was the fact she got no serious repremand or censor, or the fact Bill had this habit of getting paid 6-figures for speeches right before the State Department issued rulings favorable to the audience.
