In some places, you can get appointments through the court that pays a fixed hourly rate. Don't know if that's the case for Nick, but that kind of thing can provide a solid salary-like floor for a lawyer who has hing their own shingle.Like mentioned earlier Nick is a one person practice and he lives in the middle of nowhere. If he's ever representing someone it's for reduced rates or no charge. Between youtube, twitch, Patreon, NP2, and other stuff I'd be shocked if he wasn't clearing 100k a year. He's said he prefers discussing law rather than being stuck in court all day.
