Harley Quinn - DC Universe Series - Verdict s̶t̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ I̶N̶. out again.

You're a good person, Harley.

Wuuuuut.
I can see where they going with that.

Compare her to the joker or DR P. She might be a crazy loon, but she still has some kind of heart, and willing to do the good thing at times for her friends and people she likes. She just unable to see how her quest to be a a villain people respect is leading her to be a completely evil for the lulz pyschopath. She went to Darkseid for a army thinking it was a good idea so she could become the warlord of gothem, thinking that will just make villains respect her. Harley calling off the invasion, was her figureing out she is who she really is, and not just female joker.

On the other hand we have joker and Dr P.

Joker is willing to use and abuse everyone to try to fuck with batman. Dr P is well, DR P, dude gets a boner just thinking of doing evil things, and calling women cunts.

I wouldn't be surprised if the current normal joker turns back into THE JOKER again over time, because at his heart he is just a evil pyschopath.

Or I could just be looking into this too much and being a autistic.

Harley has still enabled and performed a lot of shit that lead to innocent people being killed, though.

I detest this need to make her into a sympathetic underdog. It was similar to that really dumb moment in Spectre; James Bond is still a state sanctioned killer, no matter how much a side character weeps about him being a person of good morals underneath.

I feel like they're speaking comparatively, though. I am still operating under the "this is framed by Harley's mindset" idea. Yeah, she's awful, but she isn't awful just for the Hell of it.

Pretty much this, they all shades of awful but none of them are Evil for the lulz.

Could Doctor Psycho use his powers to “reawaken” the Joker?

I would argue that Joker and Psycho are.
Of couse those two, I was talking about the rest of the gang. Sorry I didn't make that clear enough .

Could Doctor Psycho use his powers to “reawaken” the Joker?
Given what we seen he is able to do with the mind control, and just picking shit up with his mind, I wouldn't doubt he could.

I've never understood what difference that makes. And I'd dispute it anyway - lots of her behaviour fnord has been motivated by petty spite or pride.

I said this in the first post but my biggest issue with modern comics Harley is the moral pass she is given because she ticks the right boxes. This show has been reasonably good about not doing that. Sometimes very good. I just hope it lasts. She hasn't been good for her friends as @ChucklesTheJester said. Season One she entirely mooches off Ivy whilst regularly trashing her stuff and interposing in her life to demand she rescue her from whatever situation she's gotten into - often as not by disregarding Ivy's advice in the first place. She's frankly exploited the fact that Ivy has never had a real friend. I mean, consider you have Ivy, a woman who had a very isolating childhood, distant parents, ends up alone in an asylum and then her fucking therapist moves in with her and lives off her and uses her powers to her own advantage. And THEN makes a sexual advance - her fucking therapist! In every objective sense Harley is a terrible person to her "friend". And shows signs of now trying to use sex to prevent her friend moving on to a healthy relationship where Harley is no longer her sole friend.

She blatantly uses Psycho just for his powers, pays no attention to the feelings of Clayface and King Shark. She's awful. The show can make her funny, interesting and cool and has. But if it tries to make her not an awful person whilst she still is, I'll be really disappointed. But I really hope I'm not because this show is really good.

I still love how audiences wet themselves in giddy excitement at Quinn's brain problems in Birds of Prey, but then promptly shat blood over Joker portraying mental illness as something to be treated and helped, not celebrated for its quirks.

Not sure if that or the comic scene where she beats Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman in the same couple of pages is more telling.

Fucking hell, I love Kite Man and Ivy’s relationship.

He deserves it.

We're all giving them the benefit of the doubt. Ok, I've even read an article or two about retards bitching that the kiss between Harley and Ivy didn't immediately result in Ivy swearing off men entirely, including the one she clearly loves... but I'm not optimistic. I have a feeling that they're going to fuck this up.

I mean, probably. But I can at least enjoy that they haven’t immediately done so like a lot of people expected.

I'm sorry, WHAT?

She's the prime suspect in the recent murder of several heroes, and the big three confront her together.

Harley fools WW by crying and throwing herself into her arms, then disarms WW by stealing her lasso.

Harley then uses the lasso to over power Batman, threatening to break his neck if the other two try anything, and forces him to admit he has kryptonite in his bat belt.

This is enough to keep Superman distracted, for some reason, allowing Harley to escape without issue.

Its a prime example of a character being "smart" because everyone else immediately gets the intelligence of a box of rocks.

She's a fucking gymnast with a psych degree.

On that note I'll stop sperging out the thread. I just fucking hate this character, lol

I'm sorry WHAT?

1 No one but Diana can touch the fucking lasso without burning themselves so there's no way to steal it.
2 Diana can move faster than fucking light meaning there is no conceivable way to take the lasso without her immediately realizing and taking it back without incident, let alone getting clear and throwing the thing at batman.
3 Diana is the only who can use the lasso to force people to tell the truth, simply wrapping someone in it prevents them from lying, but they can avoid that by just not saying anything.
4 WW and Superman can both move faster then any human can think, not even talking about see. Either one can knock her into another timezone without her, in anyway, being able to resist so the threat against batman is utterly meaningless.

If anyone from DC ever reads this, this shit right here is way I stopped buying your books almost a fucking decade ago.
