Holy crap. Urban Dictionary is compromised.
They really do love their argument from "authority" (lol). Subverting your opponents words to mean the opposite only works for the counterculture. Using "snowflake", "TDS", or even "boomer" wrong doesn't defang the terminology, it just shows you're uncool and not in on the joke. Maybe if you hit the terms before they peaked in popularity you can confuse the definition enough to slow/stop the spread, but they're always years too late. That said, I'm impressed that there's not a single accurate definition in either page.
This applies to "dems the real racists" too, by the way.
I mean, most likely Coulter is right, to be perfectly honest.
The enforcement mechanism is the permanent bureaucracy, which is mostly staffed by Democrats or Democrat-sympathetics.
This EO is very concerning. So much of the past four years of TDS has been due to the GOP fighting fire with fire, and using the tools the dems so thoughtfully left them. GOP has an edge in the senate, so the Throne of Skulls will naturally favor them, and the democrats were idiots to end the filibuster.
Military funding for the wall opens the door for the dems to declare "racism" or "climate change" a military emergency and get the same funds, but since they have a structural advantage in the House, they benefit less from being able to circumvent the power of the purse than the GOP does.
Likewise, Trump granting this power to the FCC will structurally favor dems, and could easily be used to combat "fake news", "hate speech", etc. After all, "hate speech suppresses free speech of qtpocabcxyz" etc. That said, at this point I'm not convinced that the permanent bureaucracy is any worse than Silicon Valley, and thus this may not be handing the dems any additional power in the near term, while granting Trump an edge now, and a legislative change like ending the filibuster is a much more permanent change than an EO.
Most likely though, this is just another bone being tossed to the "Emperor Trump, do something!" crowd so they get out the vote in Nov, and nothing will actually come of it.
