I'm actually an administrator on the version 2 GoAnimate wiki but I'm only there because I wanted to fix the hectic state it was in. (and I succeeded a bit)

Well shit, now I feel awful. I only made the thread so people could point out some of the funny stuff on fanon wikis, I wouldn't have bothered if I'd known it would cause someone to quit writing forever

Hah, I never thought I'd hear this name again. I used to be one of the main admins of that place back when I was Web, but I replaced a bunch of the images with porn and got banned.

The main admin on there (Knowledgeable Marksman) is a complete fucking weirdo... he approached me to be part of his admin group which he paraded around like it was some "secret illuminati". He even wanted to bring that to other Wikis, as much sense as that doesn't make. I remember also he asked me all these weird, uncomfortable questions when I came out as gay. He kinda creeped me out.

I suppose I'm really not one to talk since I did stupid shit on there too, of course I was like 11-13 when I did, but I still felt like sharing considering that I used to be all over that Wiki.

Being a writer or artist means that you will have to put up with people talking shit about your work at some point. It's part of artistic growth.

So he's pissy and deciding to quit because a forum dedicated to laughing at people (and one of the TAMER ones at that) decided to laugh at him.

By god, if /cow/ ever got their hands on this man, they might drive him to suicide.

In all honesty, if he's so fickle that us laughing at him is gonna make him "leave," then fine. Obviously:

1) He has no real passion for his craft and he's easily offended and driven away by the slightest bit of criticism, and he was gonna get forced away by someone if not us.

2) He's an attention monger who's gonna say "WAH WAH THESE MEAN PEOPLE ARE TEASING ME" and get a bunch of sympathetic asspats from a bunch of his friends and followers and possibly arrange some kind of witch hunt against us where a lot of people like you come to the Farms and shitpost us because we decided to wrong him.

Either way makes him a pretty pathetic person and I don't mind "making him down in the dumps."

I'd feel slightly worse if it was a kid that we were picking on, tbh. That being said, if it is a kid, he'll probably look back upon this whole venture a couple years later and laugh it off as him making stupid shit and getting called out on it. If he loves writing, I doubt a bunch of people laughing at his earlier works will entirely put him off.

This kinda makes me wonder how old the administrative staff of these wikis are now. Are we treading Enterbot territory where we need to verify the ages of our targets before we start laughing?

Probably, yeah. The Nick Fanon wiki does say you need to be 13 to register, but I imagine a lot of the people writing for the Sonic Wiki are eleven and under. I know I was writing dumb stuff on Pokemon forums when I was that age. The Nick Fanon Wiki founder's userpage says he founded it six years ago, so he has to be at least eighteen, probably 20+ if he thought to set up and maintain a wiki. Another admin's page only says "age: Teenager".

I don't think anyone gives a shit if someone is "forced" to stop writing from the NICKELODEON FANON or the GOANIMATE wikis, they're practically the most stupid and useless things to write for.
